Meet The Owners / Photographers Christine and I met at a photography conference in New York City in 1994 and married in 2001. At the time, she was co-owner of Expressions in Photography in Penfield, NY and we maintained separate studio’s for many years. It was funny when some clients would say, “Hey, doesn’t your wife have a competing photo studio across town?”

In 2011, Christine and her business partner of 22 years decided to part ways and shortly after, Christine joined the Keepsake team. In 2012, we opened a second Keepsake location in Greece where Christine would photograph exclusively (and so we wouldn’t kill each other, lol)!

Christine is a Chicago Bears fan. Me, I cheer for the Bronco’s. Christine enjoys everything fitness, pinterest and reading. I love to hunt, fish and we both love to hang out with friends at Conesus Lake. You might also see us pedaling around the east side on our tandem bicycle!

I have three sons. Brandon, 24 who works in data intelligence. Stephen, 26 who is a professional hockey referee bound for the NHL and Billy, 29 who just finished his degree in finance and is heading to North Carolina to work in the banking industry. What If My Senior Says They Don’ t Want Senior Pictures?

It’s natural for them to push back a little mostly because their only experience having pictures taken has been with school pictures (that usually come out awful).

Senior pictures are a gift parents give themselves that will forever help them remember their sons and daughters after they have left home. Don’t let your son or daughter cheat you out of these precious memories by refusing to do it.

Remind them that these pictures are for you, the parents to commemorate this major milestone in their life and for you to share with friends and family. Once you explain how much it means to you, your senior will be much more cooperative.

They’ll get the complete rock star treatment at Keepsake with their own fully stocked private dressing room. We’ll have their favorite tunes on so they’ll feel right at home. Their photo shoot will be pressure free and they’ll laugh the whole time! We’ll take lots of combinations of poses on lots of different sets & backgrounds with many different lighting qualities so you’ll have plenty of awesome poses to choose from.

Plus, it’s not like an all day thing with us. Depending on which photo shoot you choose, only 30 - 120 minutes is necessary.

And if for any reason any of the pictures don’t come out to your liking, we’ll offer to take more to your satisfaction or we’ll refund your photo shoot fee.

The FYI About Yearbook Portraits Yearbooks are generally created in October and finished in about 5 months. In order to keep the cost of the yearbook down, schools try to submit their yearbooks as early as possible.

The process of choosing a professional studio, having a photo shoot, choosing your favorite poses and getting all of the products completed can take six or more weeks. And during summer, popular studios may be booked for weeks in advance. This is why taking senior pictures May - August of Junior year is the norm. Waiting will cause you a lot of undue stress.

NYS board of education law states that you may submit a yearbook portrait from any photographer / studio so long as it meets the schools exact specifications by their deadline. Schools require the yearbook portrait to be of a given overall size, a specified pixel depth in a specific color space with an exact head size and many even have clothing and background restrictions.

If you go it alone or choose an amateur and the school rejects your image, you risk having your son or daughter not appear in the yearbook. Choosing a professional will eliminate that headache altogether. Plus, your son or daughter will look their very best.

Look through past yearbooks. Find images you like with consistency and excellent quality. Chances are, they were all taken at one of the same places. And those random, off color, weird sized images that really stand out — they were probably taken by amateurs.
