Irving, Texas collected and recycled 126,840 cans, winning Division Two of the Cans for Cash City Recycling Challenge.

“Winning this award illustrates one of the many ways in which the City of Irving uses our longstanding partnership with Keep Irving Beautiful to engage the community in programs that benefit the environment,” said City Manager Tommy Gonzalez. “The city will continue to expand its green initiative with programs that encourage recycling, energy conservation, litter reduction and the construction of environmentally sustainable buildings.
