Family Preservation Program (FPP)

The Family Preservation Program (FPP) has oces in Oakland and San Francisco and provides home-based services to support children and parents Many parents face stresses that can aect their caregiving FPP aims to reduce these stressors and strengthen family resources to ensure children remain safe and healthy

Epic Fathers Celebrate Fatherhood at Chase Center

The Oakland FPP, in collaboration with Kaiser Permanente, proudly supports the EPIC Fathers Men’s Support Group, a space dedicated to uplifting fathers on their parenting journey The group provides a safe, respectful environment where dads can reflect, share experiences, and problem-solve together In March, EPIC Fathers sponsored fathers and their children with tickets to attend a Warriors game at the Chase Center It was a special night that allowed dads to relax, bond, and be recognized for their vital role in their families and communities The event fostered connection, celebration, and a shared sense of purpose in fatherhood

Respite Child Care Program

The Respite Child Care Program oers parents and caregivers a much-needed break, helping to reduce burnout and restore energy Services are available for San Francisco and Oakland families. Respite Program provides safe, nurturing short-term childcare, allowing parents and caregivers time for self-care, appointments, or personal responsibilities.

Kinship Support Services Program

Kinship Support Services Program oers assistance to Kinship Caregivers: grandparents, relatives, and friends who are caring for and raising a relative’s or a friend’s child Our caregivers have stepped up to support youth by providing them with a safe and nurturing environment and encouraging them to reach their potential

Youth Programming

During the academic spring break, the Kinship Program hosted Making Proud Choices (MPC), a curriculum that focuses on educating youth, grades 7-12, about healthy relationships and the importance of safe sex. Through our outreach eorts, 16 youth participants successfully completed the workshop. The youth walked away with an understanding of abstinence and safe sex strategies to prevent unplanned pregnancies and protect themselves from STDs. As well as the skills to build respectful and healthy relationships. The youth left with a goodie bag that included community resources.
