Completed by the Kansas City Design Center in collaboration with the Kansas City, Missouri Department of Planning, this is the first part of the comprehensive publication for the 2019-2020 academic year focused on the East Bottoms of Kansas City, Missouri. The East Bottoms Vision study is a design investigation of an industrial area that aims to repurpose residual infrastructural space through the creation of a continuous public right of way and a perspective to rethink industrial landscapes towards a more inclusive mixed use environment that addresses issues of urban resilience.
