Cover Story Wisdom. The first gift from the Holy Spirit to the children of God. In life, we learn that we obtain our wisdom through experience. We become wise by learning from our mistakes and equipping ourselves with the ability to adapt in adversity.

Spiritually, wisdom holds another meaning. God gave us all wisdom, it is whether we choose to use it wisely or not.

During our legionary lives, we always learn about how we can be better Catholics and better sons and daughters to our parents, so when we apply the knowledge of what’s good for us in our lives, that is how we can thank God for giving us the gift of wisdom.

Once we are able to embrace the wisdom we have been given, we have truly become wise and are walking the right path along the journey to the Kingdom of God.

Mankind will always be prone to egoism and pride , it is normal to find it difficult to walk the way of God. But if we are willing to be wise and have wisdom, our faith in God always perseveres.

News (Committee Evaluation ) The annual Committee Evaluation was held on 21 September at St. Margaret’s Parish Centre. The former coordinators have reviewed upon their own performance in being a leader of different assignments and helping with the contact work. Each Praesidium evaluated their participation in different assignments. They also expressed their difficulties that made them unable to engage in the Legionary work regularly. With the comments received, we believe that the newly elected committee members can improve and do better in this coming year! Some of the new Committee members were elected that day and others were elected on 28 September before Curia meeting started. However, we can observe that we lack potential candidates for some positions. We would like to encourage all the members of Curia Mater Dei to try and take up different duties next year. It is always our pleasure to serve as a “soldier” of our Mother Mary.

Due to the postponement of the committee evaluation, not many Praesidia could attend the event and contribute to the discussion. Yet, I appreciate the effort made by a few officers who still left their comments and suggestions despite their absence in the meeting. I could observe that not many officers are proactive in giving comments, especially during the evaluation of outdoor assignments which is most likely due to the lack of participation in the past year. It will be better if our legionaries could participate more in outdoor assignments, so we may grow and learn from each other throughout the process.

NEWS FROM ADMIRABLE 1. Admirable 3000th meeting The 3000th meeting of Mother Most Admirable Praesidium was held successfully on 11th September 2019 at Marymount Secondary School. We gave thanks to God’s and Mary’s guidance throughout these 60 years. We are extremely grateful for all seniors, officers, members and auxiliaries who fight with us and for us when Admirable is experiencing ups and downs.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude through this opportunity to all visitors who came and supported us on that day. See you at our 3100th!

2.Admirable, China and Medal Joint Praesidia Function During the summer holiday, we gathered at Blackroom for a Joint Praesidia Function. We sang and played card games to celebrate the end of the holidays. It was a precious chance for us to get to know more about each other. Despite having loads of fun through playing different games in the event, this function also deepened bonds between both praesidia. It was a really nice opportunity for us to strengthen our relationships with members from each praesidium since we only vaguely know each other and are unwilling to draw a step closer to getting acquainted with one another, therefore we are glad that this activity granted us an opportunity to do so.

NEWS FROM CHINA 1. Admirable, China and Medal Joint Praesidia Function Our first joint praesidia function was held successfully on 12 August 2019.

Members from China, Admirable and Medal went to a party room in Causeway Bay to enjoy an afternoon together. We sang songs at karaoke and played board games together. Participants also engaged in a group game, Killer, before the function ended. Through various activities, members have had the chance to get along with each other. We hope that younger members can form a better bond with the community by first knowing legionaries from different praesidia. We had a fantastic time and will definitely try to organise similar activities in the future.

NEWS FROM IMMACULATE 1.SFCC Orientation Day Our school’s Form One Catholic Orientation Day was held on 7th September, 2019.

We had invited all the form one catholics and their parents to join this event.

Officers of both Immaculate Heart of Mary Praesidium and Mediatrix of All Graces Praesidium were there to introduce the assignments and weekly duties of legionaries. The orientation day concluded with members sharing their experiences with all form one participants.

NEWS FROM STAR 1.SJC Recruitment Week The recruitment days of St Joseph's College were held successfully on 2-4/10. Students went to the hall to join the clubs or societies that they were interested in. Star has recruited new members during the recruitment days.

Article Maundy Thursday On the Thursday before Easter, Jesus celebrated His final Passover with His disciples. Jesus expressed humility by washing the feet of His disciples and commanded them to do the same for each other. This day is known as Maundy Thursday. Every year, religious groups will organize a Passover Feast in the evening of Maundy Thursdays in the spirit of this event. Although Easter is more than a half year later, there are important things about Christ that we have to know concerning this special day and what special role us legionaries have to practice.

Refer to the following reading from Luke 22: 27-38 "When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. 15 And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God.” After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, “Take this and divide it among you. For I tell you I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”

This reading fully reveals what happened to Jesus and His 12 disciples on the Thursday before He was crucified and died on the cross. The Holy Eucharist we receive every mass is a reminder of how He saves us from our sins when we follow His way and teachings wholeheartedly. We, being members of the Legion of Mary, should always remember the important role of Mother Mary who gave Jesus His body, fed Him and nurtured Him into Man to carry out His ministries.

The part played by Mary should never be underrated because without her fully obeying God during the Annunciation, we wouldn’t have been blessed with the Sacrament of the Eucharist, to be united with God and get prepared for the Kingdom of God to come again.

Another important teaching about the Maundy Thursday is to remember the most important of all commandments, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another" (John 13:34).

Let us reflect on our past deeds and thoughts and evaluate if we have tried our best to love our neighbour just the way how God has loved us. Were we generous enough to forgive our enemies and love them like our own selves? When we legionaries do services, are we always showing genuine love, or at times losing our temper due to fatigue or the lack of patience or time?

It is not sinful if we fail to do so at this stage, because it is our duty to continue to show our respect towards Mary and ask her through her intercessions to pray for our humility and forgiveness so that one day, we could be like her son Jesus who is unlike us humans, who calculate every trivial matter and are narrow-minded. Let us pray that one day we would be more than willing to give thanks or even offer help with a loving heart, being in one spirit and one mind.

Dear fellow legionaries, may we all put more emphasis on following Mary as our role model -- to act with full obedience and humility when spreading love and serving the needy around us. Remember that our mission is to praise the glory of our Dear Lord and proclaim the significance of our role model of purity, meekness and mildness in our journey of faith formation and evangelization through our actions and words.

Article There was once a man who was faithful, humble and hardworking. God’s support along with these qualities drove him to success — he became a tycoon possessing extreme wealth and fame. Gradually, he grew more smug and proud under the influence of people’s praises, and he took all the credit, denying that it was God’s help that aided him and held him in place — he even despised Catholicism, “They’re just daft,” he said, “true success comes from hard work, instead of praying — it’s just a psychological effect for self-comfort.”

Once, during a discussion about God with some people, the tycoon said, "Who is God? It's not due to him, that I am so much successful now! It’s hard work and resilience! And if God actually is so powerful, then he can kill me within five minutes. I challenge him."

Five minutes later, nothing happened. The tycoon laughed at God for he was still alive, when an old man suddenly stood up and said, "If your son asked you to stab him with a knife, will you do that? God is like your father and he'll never harm you."

Embarrassment and realisation washed over the tycoon. He, indeed, was the daft one. He repented and apologised to God, regaining his faith.

Seriously, what kind of person is that? You might despise the tycoon’s ungrateful and smug attitude — yet sometimes, we act just as accordingly, simply without realising.

Do we focus so much on our work that we forget about God’s undying support? Or do we see success as ours and our effort only? It can be understood to have someone we dislike — but do we badmouth them unreasonably and sometimes even wish bad luck to fall upon them? We are God’s children, so are the people we dislike; a benevolent father would never hurt his children, and it is also extremely wrong to have such thoughts. There is nothing wrong in being cheery and proud of our accomplishments and wins, but a humble heart should always be held before God — for none of them comes from us alone — you wouldn’t even be alive more or less given the opportunities to accomplish them.

Article 智慧 《列王記上》3:9 所以求你賜我智慧，可以判斷你的民，能辨別是非。不然， 誰能判斷這眾多的民呢。上主賜給我們智慧，是讓我們學會辨析善惡。 當我 們遇到撒旦時，是用我們的智慧打倒他們，還是用智慧變成他們？ 上主賜給我們智慧，也賜給我們使用智慧的自由。 那麽，什麼是使用智慧的自由？ 怎樣才能使用智慧擊退魔鬼？耶穌受洗之 後， “聖靈將他引到曠野，四十天受魔鬼的試探”（路加福音 4:1-2） 。 曠 野中的三次試探是想引誘耶穌離開神而忠心於撒但。 耶穌受試探有三種所有 人都常見到的模式。 第一個試探是肉體的情慾（瑪竇福音 4:3-4），包括所有 形式的身體慾望。 我們的主很餓，魔鬼引誘他把石頭變成食物，但是他用申 命記 8:3 回答了。 第二個誘惑是今生的驕傲（瑪竇福音 4:5-7），這裡魔鬼想 用經文篇章來對他不利（詩篇 91:11-12 ），但是神再次用經文反駁了他（申命 記 6:16），說濫用他的權力是不對的。 第三個試探是關於眼目的情慾（瑪竇福音 4:8-10），如果能夠有達到彌賽亞地 位的捷徑，避開他最初來這裡釘十字架，這就是那道路了。 魔鬼已經控制了 世界的國（厄弗所書 2:2），但是他準備把一切給基督來換取他的忠心。 僅僅 這個想法就幾乎足以導致主的神性動搖了，但他嚴厲地回答：“當拜主你的 神，單要事奉他。 ” （瑪竇福音 4: 10 ） 耶穌運用了智慧正當的擊退撒旦，保持了心中的信仰。天主讓耶穌到曠野接受 魔鬼的試探，就是要讓我們看到主的智慧。我們主的人性使他體恤我們自己的 軟弱，因為他也有軟弱的地方。 不幸的是，很多人錯誤運用了天主給我們的智慧，錯誤地理解天主給我們使用 智慧的自由。有人用自己的智慧欺騙別人，卻不懂感恩天主給他們智慧，違背 了天主的意思。有些人為了自己的私慾，使用不正當，有違天主給我們的誡命 教導。就像創世紀中，蛇運用了天主給他的智慧，教導別人向惡。我們祖先阿 當夏娃又用了智慧欺騙愛他們的天主。這些等等，都是人類的軟弱，人類的愚 蠢。 智慧與愚蠢，一步之差，所以如果我們不懂得適當運用天主給我們的智慧，往 往成了愚笨無知的人。面對撒旦的試驗時，不難發現有很多試探是我們經不住 的，因為我們的肉體從本性上來講是軟弱的，但是我們有主，他不會讓我們經 16 | P a g e

受我們不能承受的試探。我們因此可以勝利、感謝主讓我們脫離試探。 耶穌 在曠野裡的經歷幫助我們看到那些常見的妨礙我們有效事奉天主的試探。 而且，我們從耶穌對於試探的回應中也確定知道我們要如何回應 — 用經書。 惡勢力會有各式各樣的試探，但其核心是同樣的三種東西：眼目的情慾、肉體 的情慾和今生的驕傲。所以我們只能用真理充實我們的心和思想，認識這些試 探並與之戰鬥。 在屬靈的戰鬥中基督戰士的裝備只有一樣攻擊性武器，即聖 靈的寶劍，就是天主的道理 。 深刻了解聖經將把這支寶劍放在我們手裡，使 我們戰勝各種試探。 -------China

Article 最近打開聖經去尋找聖經金句的時候揭到去瑪竇福音第七章，我認為當中嘅內 容非常啟發到我亦令我重新審視自己能否就着當中的內容而作出一些個人的改 善，令到自己能提升靈修上的知識丶修養和信德有，從而使自己更接近天主， 更能活出天主想要我們活出的一套。就着當中的內容，以下會有一些個人的解 說和個人的見解。 在瑪竇福音第七章第一節至第五節，那裏講述我們不應該輕易判斷人，不要用 自己的標準去判斷人，不能只是看見並放大別人的錯誤而看不到自己的大錯。 我們應該先要去除自己的錯誤，才去改善別人的錯誤。說明我們應要用相同的 標準去對待自己和別人，應寬以待人，嚴以律己。在糾正別人之前先要糾正自 己。其實這五節所講的東西都很淺白易明，但要應用這些到自己的時候就會很 困難。我認為自己可以嘗試在日常生活或待人處事中嘗試套用當中的道理，看 到別人有做錯的地方時應馬上想起這一章，並回想自己所犯的錯誤，不要放大 別人的錯誤並放大自己的錯誤並作改善，才去提醒別人。就像我在會中一樣， 應要以身作則，看到團員們的小錯時不應馬上指責，只需要作提醒，並記起自 己所犯過的錯誤做出一些實際的行動去改善。亦要以相同的標準去量度每一位 團員包括自己，不應因為與某一位團員較為熟絡而包庇他的錯誤，或對他的錯 誤視而不見。亦要接受不同團員對自己的指責，作出適當的改善。 在瑪竇福音第七章第六節，那裏講述不要把聖物交給不懂得珍惜的人，怕那些 人會損壞聖物亦怕他們會傷害交聖物給他們的人。意思是在進行傳教工作時應 謹慎，如果對方表示有興趣便與他講述更多，如對方表示沒有興趣並反對繼續 聆聽相關資料，應馬上停止並為她祈禱。我認為這節與我們的傳教工作息息相 關，我認為如果對方表示反感的時候，我們除了為他祈禱之外亦要與他保持聯 絡，與他做朋友，從平日的對話當中滲透一些有關天主的事情給他，循循善 誘。經過一些時間後可能他會沒有那麼反感，亦可能因為我們的一句話而去受 洗，成為基督徒。所以我認為應對傳教工作充滿希望和熱誠，這樣才能使對方 感受到天主的好。 在瑪竇福音第七章第七節至第八節，那裏是以比喻去勸告認真追隨天主並尋求 真理的人不要灰心，他們想求的，會求到；想找的，會找到；想敲的，必會給 他開。在追尋真理的過程中總會遇到很多困難亦會受到很多阻撓，但只要不灰 心、不氣餒，總有一日會追尋到真理。在社會中，我們在追尋真理的同時會受 到別人的嘲笑或不解亦可能會受到不同的制肘，在追尋真理的道路上一定很困 難，就好像耶助米亞先知為了使猶太人不要再供奉邪神而作出不同警告和勸 喻，我們應懷着這種精神，去追隨天主，尋求真理。 18 | P a g e

在瑪竇福音第七章第九節至第十二節，那裏以父親會給兒子最好的東西作比 喻，指出天主會把最好的東西留給相信他的人。所以只要相信天主就能獲得好 的東西，我們在要將自己最好的東西獻給天主，就好像天主試探亞巴郞要亞巴 郎獻上自己的兒子和聖母的信德，我們要相信天主所要我們做的事，不要問只 要信。 在瑪竇福音第七章第十三節至第二十節，那裏講述窄門寬門的分別，真假先知 的分別，好樹和壞樹結出不同果子的分別。窄門才是通往真理和生命的道路， 因道路狹窄，不是很多人能夠找到並能通過到，說明只有少部份相信天主的人 才能通往窄門，而寬門是寬大的，道路亦是寬闊的，自然能夠被很多人找到並 能容易通過，所以進去只會引到去滅亡。假先知是披着羊皮的豺狼，需要多多 提防他們。好的樹會結好的果子，壞的樹會結壞的果子，就好像荊棘上不能結 下葡萄，疾藜上不能結下無花果。所以追隨天主是充滿困難的，找到適當的道 路是困難的。所以不要希望容易得到真理，因為容易得到的未必是真理，亦不 要因困難而放棄追尋。亦希望我效法聖母軍的精神擁有天上的智慧，在現在香 港所發生的事上能應用聖母軍的精神，去明辨是非，分清楚是非黑白，本着良 心去做事。 在瑪竇福音第七章第二十一節至第二十九節，說明只是相信天主並稱呼上主的 名字不能進入天國，要遵從天父的旨意才能進入天國。信仰不能只是停留在神 跡異能常，亦要以上主的話去建立信仰的根基。只要相信天父所講的並去實 行，所建立的都會是堅固的；相信但並不去實行，所建立的都會倒塌。我認為 自己只能做到相信而未能做到實行的階段，我會盡量在這一年內實行天主的 話。 -------Mediatrix

Article Teachings of Water There was once a young man who felt betrayed by his friends and found no purpose in life. He had been deep in thought about the reason for his negative feelings and decided to take his own life by jumping into a lake.

However, he met a wise man and the wise man saved him. The young man then told the wise man about all his tragedies in life.

The wise man took him to his home, and gave the young man a large block of ice and explained that philosophies of life can be learnt through it. The wise man then told the young man to break the ice into half through a knife. The young man made lots of attempts, but failed in vain. Even when he put in extra effort, there were only a few scratches on the surface of the ice.

The wise man then explained that water comes in different states, where we can understand the meaning of success.

“Water can be transformed into ice, which is extremely hard, and this resembles our life, strong.”

“Another form of water is gas. Gas is invisible, and through gas cohesion, it can become a very large power. Other than that, water is pure, apart from cleaning dirt; it can also purify our hearts. It means that if we want success, we need to have a tolerant and comprehensive heart. As the saying goes ‘do not judge a book by its cover.’ Water may look weak, but through continuous dripping, it can break a rock.

This shows us that being soft sometimes leads to success.”

“Water can also be in the form of fog or droplets, it can condensate and form clouds, or evaporate into air, which floats freely in air. This is the third step of success – to have our mission accomplished.”

The hearts of humans are pure. Everyone is unique in their own personality, characteristics, and attitude towards life. When we come face to face with difficulties, we should stand up to it, rather than escape from it.

These are the teachings of water. Water is not only a basic necessity, it also brings us practical and valuable teachings that we should always learn from.

聖堂 360 名稱 : 聖若瑟小堂 地址 : 新界西貢鹽田梓村

1890 年，鹽田梓（鹽田仔）聖若瑟小堂落成祝聖。香港古物諮詢委員會在 1990 年將小堂評為三級歷史建築，在 2011 年 1 月 25 日，再提升為二級歷史 建築；此外，小堂又獲頒 2005 年度聯合國教育科學文化組織亞太區文化遺產 優良獎。 鹽田梓是西貢的一個島嶼，面積少於 1 平方公里，距離西貢約 3 公里，鹽田梓 是客家人陳氏聚居的地方，早年島上居民從事曬鹽及務農工作。1864 年，宗 座外方傳教會會士和神父（Fr. S. Volonteri）與柯神父（Fr. G. Origo）抵鹽田梓 探訪及傳教，1866 年秋天，柯神父為七名村民付洗，同年聖誕節，和神父為 陳氏家族三十三人付洗。當時教友村民捐出空地予天主教會興建小聖堂和學 校，並奉聖若瑟為主保。1875 年，鹽田梓全島居民領洗。 1879 年至 1880 年，聖言會會士福若瑟神父（Rev. 從前，有個掀起革命的教宗 姓名 : 聖若望二十三世 ( 1881-1963 ) 原名 : 安傑洛·若瑟·龍嘉利 晉鐸 : 1904 年 8 月 10 日 出任教宗 : 1958-1963（4 年 218 天） 格言 : 服膺真理，締造和平( OBOEDIENTIA ET PAX ) 封聖 : 教宗聖若望二十三世，於 2000 年，因加大利納·卡皮塔尼（Caterina Capitani）修女的奇蹟痊癒（1966）而獲當時的教宗若望保祿二世列為真福 品。並且，於 2013 年，教宗方濟各在缺少第二次奇蹟下，特例通過了他的聖 人列品案。2014 年 4 月 27 日，和教宗聖若望保祿二世同時進行封聖儀式。 相信這位教宗是近早幾年其中一個很出明的教宗，因為他是近年才封聖的。現 時，很多人對他的第一或唯一印像也是個召開梵蒂岡第二次大公會議；當然的 人甚至只認為他是一個時代的過渡，很少人真正理解他，所以讓我藉此機會來 分享一些關於他的事。 教宗聖若望二十三世算是為整個羅馬天主教教會興起了一個新的浪潮，他突破 了很多古老的常規。舉一個例子，自古以來大部分的主教也是白人，在教宗短 短四年多的任期中，擢升了 87 位樞機主教，當中包含了很多非白人包括中國 人、黑人和非意大利裔主教。能對於現在的我們來說這已經是老生常談的，但 對當時來說，這可算是一件出乎意料之外的事。 另一件更多人認識他有關於突破傳統的，就是上文提及的召開梵蒂岡第二次大 公會議。相信無人，甚至他自己也沒從未想過，自己會為宗教歷史帶來一個新 的革命。他把整個教會推向現代化和生活化，把宗教拉至一個，人可接觸的位 置。梵二之前的彌撒需使用拉丁文，然而現在大部分的彌撒也是使用當地的語 言，。你可能會覺得拉丁文很好聽，但使用當地的方言，才能有助讓人更接近 彌撒的意義。 有一些人經常笑指，梵二的推行，可能只是教宗心血來潮的一個決定，但是隨 因著聖神的帶領，這個決定成為了奠定 21 世紀天主教基礎改變的一件事，為 宗教注入活力和特色。 -------Immaculate

昨天的聖人，今天的我們 守護孩子 銀髮族 今天想介紹在民主運動中，主動挺身而出，保護示威者的一群銀髮族。 「守護孩子行動」成員接連遭受警暴，早前有被防暴警察推倒、舉槍指嚇，近 日更有被近距離噴胡椒噴霧、帶入後巷起腳踢。然而，一眾成員未有退縮。他 們不懼怕警察的恐嚇，不懼怕催淚煙。哪怕情況有多嚴重，這一群可愛的銀髮 族，都會幫助示威者。 7 月 21 日，陳凱興發起「守護孩子，齊來抗爭」行動，主要號召媽媽、銀髮 族、傷健人士、神職人員、社工、律師，當天遊行後在金鐘商討，即晚起以行 動「守護年青人」。記者當晚在上環所見，「守護孩子」成員以媽媽、銀髮族居 多，他們身披「守護孩子」的綠色彩帶，手持鮮花，在衝突現場唱《Sing Hallelujah to the Lord》，以苦口婆心的態度希望安撫前線警員。 銀髮族的勇敢，非常值得我們學習，他們願意付出自己，冒著被拘捕的風險， 挺身幫助青年，我們捫心自問，我們有這份勇氣嗎？

ALLOCUTIO 尋找靈魂，希望人認識天主的時候，我們唯一的方法是無限的忍耐和溫良。 我們有時都會有被罵醒的經驗，被媽媽責罵，被老師提點，我們會提醒自己不 要再犯錯，下次當有這個誘惑的時候，我們都會記得別人會鬧我們，有時比別 人責罵都未嘗是一件壞事．有時經歷重大的錯，或者挫折，我們對這些事都會 印象心刻．不過，手冊提及過，當我們接近任何一個靈魂的時候，我們聖母軍 的方法只有無限的忍耐和溫良．意思是，你本來知道你的朋友，同學，經常不 去聖堂，不祈禱，或他是你的團員但他不來開會，你知道責罵他幾句可能有 用，不過手冊告訴給我們，這個不是我們的方法．聖母軍有聖母軍的方法，就 好像武俠小說入邊，不同武派有修煉武功的方法，如果你用了其他門派的方 法，你就是二五仔． 我們的方法就是效法聖母無限的忍耐和溫良，你看看我們的主耶穌，主耶穌是 一個仁慈的天主，但是耶穌也會發怒，主耶穌甚至會用惡的方法來教訓法利塞 人及耶穌的門徒．你看看聖母，不是聖母不適用，而是聖母不用．聖母單單給 我們見到的就是天主的無限忍耐及溫良，所以作為聖母軍人，我們只有這個方 法． 套用在每一個靈魂都是一樣，套用在我們日常的社會也是一樣，今日我們很容 易去責怪一些人，的確有些人是值得責怪，因為他們做了不正確的事。不過， 為我們的方法，都只有這個，無限的忍耐和溫良。有時我們出於本性或憤怒， 我們應該做點事，如果我們要有所行動，我們的前題是忍耐和溫良。 我們要記得神父經常講的一件事，在七十年前，上海的聖母軍如何受共產黨的 逼害，他們都是中學生，大學生，他們被逼害的原因好簡單，因為他們是聖母 軍，共產黨一聽到【軍】便會變得瘋狂，所以被逼害的第一群就是聖母軍。他 們被監禁，被虐待。但是，要聖母軍組織起來，人數並不少。因為在共產黨侵 佔中國的前幾年，一群神父在全中國成立了數以千計的支團，單單是上海已經 有一大群學生，他們並不是沒可能反抗。不過在當時，我們的前輩都是用這個 方法，他們安靜的，好像耶穌受苦之前聖經記載：【沉默待宰的羔羊】。他們默 不作聲，他們為逼害他們的人祈禱。但是，我們說的溫良和忍耐，跟懦弱是兩 回事。我們都有聽過，社會面對這麼多的問題，有些人避談，以愛和和平，他 們口中的愛是懦弱的意思，他們不願意面對問題，他們不願意面對所謂的衝 突。他們認為不發聲，忍耐就可以了。聖母軍的忍耐不是這樣，聖母軍對罪人 忍耐，但不是對罪惡忍耐，所以我們要提醒那些罪人的罪惡，不過用溫良的方 法，我們會為他們祈禱，我們會鍥而不捨地不斷提醒，我們不會放棄，即使我 們面對多大的困難，逼害也好，我們都會繼續提醒他們，我們會用實際的祈禱 24 | P a g e

我們會用實際的祈禱和工作告訴給罪人，告訴給這個世界聽，唯有天主幫助我 們得到真正的和平，公義和幸福的道路。 身處在這個時代，讓我們活出前輩們的精神，無限的忍耐和溫良，會是我們最 大和最有力的武器，首先要克服我們的心魔，然後我們的四個德行：志義勇 節，可以用溫良和忍耐來總結，沒有這四個德行，我們沒可能在任何情況保持 溫良和忍耐，我們用這個武器克服更多心魔後，我們會為天主贏得更多的靈 魂。

ASSIGNMENT SHARING Caritas Lok Yi School : Caritas Lok Yi School is a school for mentally- disabled kids. We visit the Caritas Lok Yi School mainly on Sundays, to play games with the kids who accommodate in the school. Going to Caritas Lok Yi School is a really meaningful assignment as we not only get to spread joy to cute kids, it also reminds us to reflect on ourselves. All the kids in Caritas Lok Yi School reminded us of how lucky we are to be able to live with our parents, to think critically and to be able to take care of ourselves.

They remind us that we should treasure everything we have because everything we have is a blessing from God. It’s also a delightful experience to be able to make the kids smile. Every time we feel depressed, we imagine the look of happiness on the kid’s face in Lok Yi school and they can give us the energy to smile. Although there are no frequent visits to this place and every visit lasts for a really short time, we always look forward to the next visit to Caritas Lok Yi School and we treasure the chance to play with the kids.

Hopefully, there will be more visits to this place in the future and more people can participate in this assignment as kids in Caritas Lok Yi School may not be as lucky as us who always enjoy different kinds of entertainment, they need us!

Chee Sing Kok : Chee Sing Kok is an assignment that we never expected to be so joyful and worthwhile. We have made visits to the old ladies at Mount David twice, and the second time was more interesting. The first visit we made was quite peaceful, we spent more than an hour to talk with the seniors, where we shared our life experiences, specifically our academic lives. The second visit was surprising since we (3 members only) sang and guessed riddles for two hours, without preparing for anything! Even though we felt embarrassed at first, time passed by very quickly in the midst of laughter and joy.

We would say Chee Sing Kok is worth going to since the ladies are fun to interact with. We never imagined the ladies to be so friendly and sociable that we seemed to be the ones getting visited instead. The ladies were so kind and passionate about their love for others that we felt like we were the ones being helped and treated well. When we arrived at the building, they came and brought out chairs and poured cups of tea for us. During the second visit, we had no plans for activities and had no idea what to do (as we have not prepared anything) until they spontaneously suggested to sing songs together which eased the awkward atmosphere.

To be honest, the greatest gift that we have received from this elderly home is that we have to be humble. Sometimes when we serve others, we would think that we are just serving the “little brothers” without having the sense that we are serving Jesus - the teacher who teaches his disciples to serve the little brothers just like serving Jesus himself. This assignment gave us a great insight into how we can serve while being served, and to be humble and grateful like our Mother Mary.-------SOIL

Home of Love : We usually go to Home of Love to help the primary and secondary students with their schoolwork and revision on Saturdays. We also take care of the kindergarten kids and play games with them. We really enjoy the time staying and spending with the little ones. Inevitably, we face difficulties when we are doing the assignment, such as misunderstanding of the kids due to communication problems. However, whenever we see their smiling faces, we feel satisfied and thankful. We always wish to bring the underprivileged children a good time in Home of Love, with the graces and blessings from God. -------China

St. Mary’s Home : When we go to St. Mary’s Home, we always feel at home. The sister remembers us each of us by name and some of the elderly wave happily at us when we walk past them. Recently, we’ve invited two of our newest members to come to St. Mary’s Home with us and they too enjoy the warm ambience of the elderly home.

All happiness and warmth aside, we always need to remember to give affection towards the elderly. A gentle caress of the hand, a small smile or a simple greeting will show the love and care we have towards them. God always tells us to love our neighbours, and the elderly certainly are neighbours for us to love.

Personal Contact : Personal contact is an essential legion assignment as to spread the good news of God to the people around us. We usually contact only our friends and schoolmates.

Often, we forget about contacting our family members, especially our parents. Our church always emphasize on the importance of bringing God into our families. By sharing more about our faith or our legionary life with them, we could share with them also the peace and joy that we obtained from Christ our Lord. Let’s start sanctifying ourselves and others from our own origins, our own families.

性格如何？ -我是一個樂觀但同時有些少懦弱的人。

以一種動物來形容自己會是甚麼？ -我會以企鵝形容自己；企鵝給我的印象是少許聰明又少許傻，經常站在同一 位置而不動。我認為自己頗似它的神經質。:D

有沒有特別欣賞哪位聖人？ -我特別欣賞聖蒙福 St. Louis-Marie de Monfort. 他寫的“真誠孝愛聖母”一書 實在令人明白更多聖母和耶穌基督的關係，使我明白聖母軍的重要性。再者， 他對聖母的敬禮是我們作爲聖母軍最好的榜樣。

覺得自己是不是靚仔？ -斬釘截鐵的“不” :) 2. 對那些將會負責哪些的 px. 有甚麼印象？ 暫時我會負責 SOIL，意即我會負責自己的會 :D 我偏向沒有興趣評論自己 （笑）另外我會負責 Joy，我對他們並不熟悉，但我知道她們是十分勤快的聖 母軍。 3.選到 CO 之前…… 為甚麼 accept 做 CO？ 我似乎沒有理由拒絕。 雖但如此，我仍然覺得能夠為 Curia 做些事情對於我自己來說也是很好的經 驗，亦能從中學習更敬愛聖母。

對未來有甚麼展望？ 我希望我能夠盡力去做好 CO 的工作，去幫助我所 in-charge 的 praesidium。 同時，我當然希望繼續改善自己去成為一個更好的聖母軍。 5.認為 curia 的甚麼地方最需要改善？ Curia 的其中一個問題是很少人去 retreat。說實在的，我自己也沒有資格去說 這個問題，因為我也未能夠叫得所有 SoIL member 去參加 retreat. 但我想如果 retreat 的 enrollment 儘早開始，而 officer 更盡力去提醒 members，應該可以 改善吧。 6.認為其他人對於天主教最大的誤解是甚麼？ 其他人經常認為天主教拜聖母。尤其是當人問到聖母軍是做什麼的時候，人人 都說我們拜聖母。我想這應該是最大的誤解之一吧。 7.有甚麼想對 curia 的團員們說？ 我 Matthew 無德無才，能夠做 CO 只是天主和聖母的安排；如果我做得有什麼 不足的地方，請大家多多包涵和體諒。希望在聖母的帶領下，我可以幫助各位 去成為更好的聖母軍，去實踐聖母的德行。:D

以一種動物來形容自己會是甚麼？ 我認為自己是一隻眼很小的貓，因為我覺得自己外向，喜歡出席一些社交活 動，給人感覺很親切，但同時又會給人一種高冷的感覺。這通常是因為我需要 一些空間靜一靜而產生的。

有沒有特別欣賞哪位聖人？ 我很欣賞聖女小德蘭，因為她給了我很多的啟示。她的武器─祈禱和犧牲，令 我從中學習到很多，而她也漸漸成為我學習的榜樣，教我去愛自己的靈魂和天 主。這些種種剛好和聖母軍的精神很貼切。當我受到魔鬼的引誘而懶惰時，我 也會學習小德蘭的克己，隨時也為耶穌準備自己。 2. 對那些將會負責哪些的 px. 有甚麼印象？ 對 Immaculate 的感覺，間中會見到她們參與 curia 的活動，覺得她們的關係很 好，而且很友善。至於 Charity 和 Counsel，覺得她們是一群很安靜、很斯文 的女孩子，對她們的印象不是很深，所以希望來年有更多機會認識她們。 3.選到 CO 之前……

為甚麼 accept 做 CO？ 由於 China 歷代也有很多 Aux.是 CO，她們也很鼓勵我作為 China 裹比較有經 驗的人，多一些投入 curia 的活動，而且有助帶領自己會的新 members 去認識 聖母軍這個團體。 對 CO 有甚麼印象？ 由於認識得不太深，所以感覺 CO 很惡，不過見到他們都放很多心機和時間在 curia 裹，是我們 members 的榜樣，很欣賞他們。 4.選 CO 之後……

得知自己當選時，心情如何？ 當然是很榮幸和開心，因為天主給了我這個 CO 的身份去繼續服務。

對未來有甚麼展望？ 我有點兒緊張，怕不能成為一個稱職的 CO。在得到 Sr. Claudia 和 Br. Gabriel 的 幫忙後，我已經認識到很多，但我知道有很多事情是我未清楚的，需待我自己 親自去摸索才會慢慢明白。我期望自己能發揮自己的長處和其他 CO 合作。 31 | P a g e

5.認為 curia 的甚麼地方最需要改善？可以用甚麼方法來解決這個問題？ 我認為 curia 的 members 也很害羞，每逢輪到給 comment 的環節，也甚少主 動發言。我之前也是其中的一員，但是現在明白到沒有這些反省和交流，我們 的活動就失去了很多意義。現時，Bridge 是一個很好的渠道給大家分享，透過 各部分大家也能夠學習，所以建議 members 可以在 meeting 或 Bridge 裏發表 意見。 6.認為其他人對於天主教最大的誤解是甚麼？ 有一些人經常也覺得天主教的活動很悶和無聊，是浪費時間的。我認為他們這 個誤解源於他們對我們的實際工作不認識。作為學生，我認為 Personal Contact 是一個很好的方法去解答他們的疑問。雖然這局限了對象範圍，但是 積少成多，大家一傳十，十傳百，很容易就會令大家都認識。另外在學校的宗 教活動上，我們也能作為一個榜樣，給他們了解。 7.有甚麼想對 curia 的團員們說？ 希望大家在做聖母軍的工作時，也能加倍認真，用心去完成每一個天主給我們 的任務。另外，想提醒大家，再忙碌也不要忽視祈禱的力量。跟著聖神的帶 領，天主絕對不會讓我們成為迷途的羔羊。讓我們學習聖母的謙遜和溫柔去服 務身邊的人，成聖自己，聖化他人。

FREE OF DOUBTS 1. 信仰是什麼？我們為了什麼而信，為何要信？ 這問題要求解答我們信仰所有的內容啊！ 簡單而言，信仰就是天主對人的啟示，及人在這啟示中對天主的認識。 為甚麼而信呢？因為天主的唯一真實的，如果連祂親自啟示的我們都不願意接 受，還有甚麼值得相信呢？ 而信仰的目的，就是為了靈魂的得救，因為這是天主的心願，及每個人心中的 願望。

2. 很多禮儀專家也指出，彌撒中的平安禮不宜有過大的行為，那麼平安禮該 做 甚麼以及有甚麼意義。 平安禮是領聖體禮的一部分，即為幫助人領受耶穌聖體所作的其中一個行動。 福音中，耶穌曾說：「你們若在祭壇前，要獻你們的禮物時，在那裏想起你們 的弟兄有什麼怨你的事，就把你們的禮物留在那裏，留在祭壇前，先去與你的 弟兄和好，然後再來獻你的禮物。」（瑪 5:23-24）領受聖體，是以最親密的方 式將自己奉獻給耶穌，怎樣在心中有相反愛德的思想和傾向呢？平安禮幫助人 ，透過與身邊教友互祝平安，表達一種愛德，一種願意捨棄自己，不怨恨任何 人的愛德。因為耶穌就是我們的平安。因此，平安禮是一個禮儀行動。在禮儀 中，我們以恰當與既定的方式，表達對天主和近人的愛。《羅馬彌撒經書總論 》82 號說明「各人宜只向自己身旁的人，恭謹地行平安禮。」就香港而言， 點頭應為最習慣的方式。故平安禮中，向左右兩位教友點頭行禮即可。試想 想，平安禮前我們一段時間在安靜中祈禱，透過神父誦念的經文朝拜天主；平 安禮後亦立刻念或唱「除免世罪的天主羔羊」，祈求天主的憐憫，並宣認耶穌 就是救 贖我們而犧牲的羔羊。聖教會又怎會期望她的子女在平安禮中，興奮地東奔西 跑、大呼小叫，然後立即收斂心神祈禱呢？這不是精神分裂嗎？ -------Credit to Father Cheung

《耶穌，我堅信禰！》 反送中運動持續四個多月，無疑這是香港自太平洋戰爭以來最艱難的時刻。不 同政見的市民因著惡法的推行導致撕裂分化，形成了黃絲藍絲等不同政見的標 籤。 作為一個天主教徒，不論你是所謂的「黃絲或藍絲」，我們應該如何看待此 事？我們應該站在社會的前線，奮力抵抗。就如《DOCAT》所述：基督徒應該 比過去更頻繁地走上街頭，且絕不僅只於關心自身的利益。哪裏有強權壓制正 義，基督徒就必須站在反抗的前沿！（Q.322 基督徒應參與示威遊行嗎？） 哪裡有不公，我們應反抗且伸張正義，絕不向強權低頭。 民主運動為我帶來的改變 我在此分享我的經歷，熟識我的人都知道，我是一個不成熟，一個不問世事， 只顧投奔在內心世界的小朋友。在四個月前，民主為我是什麼？ 自由又是一 個什麼的學問呢？我會這樣答：所謂的民主自由，不是如生俱來嗎？民主自 由，不就是隨心所欲，一隻小鳥在天空任意翱翔嗎？ 在四個月前，我會這樣回答你。但是，我在六月的時候，改變了我對「民主自 由」的看法，或態度。政府宣佈要修訂《逃犯條例》草案。起初，我以為逃 犯，不過是針對「逃犯」吧。 不過，我的無知，反而勾起我的好奇心，去了解什麼是《逃犯條例》。 得知這條法例原來是如此恐怖後，我開始對「民主自由」有新的看法：自由在 一些國家並不是必然的，而且自由對那些人民是稀奇非常！因此，我決定要改 變自己，首先就是熱切地參與示威遊行。 雨傘運動後的反送中運動 以前所積累下來的民憤再一次爆發《逃犯條例》成為了觸發點。香港人再次走 上街頭，為自由，為下一代發聲，高呼「撤回」。一百萬人遊行，二百萬人遊 行，不單止沒令到政府撤回，理會人民的聲音，反而加以壓逼，示威定性暴 動，以「暫緩」敷衍大眾，發射催淚煙，布袋彈來鎮壓民眾的聲音。 運動持續多個星期，我跟很多親戚鬧翻，朋友不理會我，因為他們說我是「亂 42 | P a g e

港分子－暴徒」，我感到非常失望，為何他們不了解為何示威者要上街？既然 我的唇舌不能改變他們，唯有祈禱。 為跟我政見分歧的人祈禱，同時也為爭 取真正的民主自由的抗爭者祈禱。 「耶穌，我信賴禰。求禰幫助我，因為禰是我的避難所。」 我在這場運動經歷的，雖然不比義士多，但是我能夠說的是，沒有這場運動， 我就不在此寫文章！ 警權無限放大，示威者民怨沸騰，政府再推行蒙面惡法的時候，我請大家思考 一下，在這風雨飄搖的日子裡，你願不願意走出來為我們的未來奮鬥？在這資 訊大爆炸的時代，你願意在這麼多資訊面前多思考判斷，為自己個人的普世價 值、道德良知更進一步嗎？ 請不要再麻木逃避現實，因為「沒有自由」的警號已經響起，危機已迫在眉 睫！ 我可愛的兄弟姊妹，作為聖母的兒女，我們應該站在教會的前線，比其他人更 勇敢、更熱切的走上街頭，為民主發聲！ 主佑 聖若望保祿二世教宗瞻禮
