reetings, and welcome to the second issue of Kitchen Bath Trends by Whitehaus! I am so excited to be publishing another issue of the printed magazine, and we couldn’t have done it without your support! There are five sections to the printed magazine, which differ from the online edition. The sections are: Products, Trends, Featured, Updates and From the Blog. In the Products section, you can find articles about different Whitehaus products that are classic staples in your home. The Trends section takes a deeper look into kitchen and bath trends, and how Whitehaus is maintaining its reputation as a leader in the industry. Featured is a brief section spotlighting a fabulous designer from New York, and From the Blog incorporates some of your favorite features from the website, presenting them in a new medium. In this issue, we also included an Updates section. Here you can find articles on how Whitehaus continues to evolve as a company, bringing you quality products using the most modern and efficient techniques. This second issue of Kitchen Bath Trends by Whitehaus is an amazing accomplishment by my staff. Without their hard, diligent work, this magazine would not come to be. I would be remiss if I did not take a second to thank Suzanne Sokolov and the designers at Showcase Kitchens of Long Island, without whom many of these pages would lack beautiful artwork. We appreciate your support, and are so happy to have you as a reader of Kitchen Bath Trends by Whitehaus! Live with style,

When you’re designing a kitchen, every piece fits a larger puzzle. If you choose the wrong piece, the puzzle doesn’t fit together. There are a variety of pieces that go into a kitchen design: sink, counter, floor, cabinet and appliances. Choosing the right faucet finish is just as important as choosing the right sink, counter or cabinet material. In past years, the faucet was considered a piece of the sink; a mere extension of a fixture rather than its own design concept. Choosing the finish was easy because it just had to match the sink. In more recent years, designers have started thinking of the faucet as a separate piece of the design, rather than an annex of the sink. Because of this change, faucet finishes can be different than the sink finish. Mixing and

matching can enhance the style of your kitchen, especially if you’re style is transitional. At Whitehaus, we have seven popular faucet finishes—Polished Chrome, Brushed Nickel, Antique Brass, Antique Copper, Mahogany Bronze, Oil Rubbed Bronze and Pewter. We compiled a list of the finishes and matched them to popular kitchen styles, as well as what Whitehaus products they look best with. These are only suggestions, so don’t be afraid to get creative—just because we don’t list the finish with the sink doesn’t mean it won’t look good! You also want to take your counter color and material into consideration when choosing your faucet finish.

BRUSHED NICKEL Brushed Nickel faucets are more commonly known as stainless steel. These look great with modern and contemporary kitchen styles, and they have the added benefit of being easy to clean. Pair them with Farmhaus Fireclay, Noah’s Collection or Decorative Prep sinks for a cohesive look.

OIL RUBBED BRONZE The Oil Rubbed Bronze faucets are very similar to Mahogany Bronze—except they’re more of a black color as opposed to brown. They fit Tuscan or Old World kitchen styles and complement Copperhaus, Farmhaus Fireclay or Decorative Prep sinks. A few of our faucet collections have the added bonus of a new finish: Oil Rubbed Bronze Highlight. This finish is the same as Oil Rubbed Bronze, but has flecks of copper added to it.

Oil Rubbed Bronze Highlight Whitehaus Collection recently released a new finish to complement its JEM Collection faucet line. This finish is a modern twist on the classic Oil Rubbed Bronze, adding a bright copper accent ring to contrast the dark matte finish. WHTTSCR3-9771SPR

ARCHITECTURAL FIXTURES FOR THE CONTEMPORARY KITCHEN WH2070824

Having a modern kitchen is a growing trend across America. There are many ways to create a contemporary kitchen, but one of the best practices is using sleek lines. Many designers incorporate architectural lines in the floor, cabinets and counters. Sharp, smooth edges give the space direction, bringing it into the modern style. The sleek lines don’t have to stop at the furnishings. Incorporating the same architectural lines into your fixtures will enhance the space and create a focal point. In Noah’s Collection by Whitehaus, you can find undermount, drop-in and front apron stainless steel sinks with sharp edges and defined lines. These sinks are the perfect addition to a modern kitchen due to their style and quality. A Whitehaus JEM Collection faucet is a great choice to pair with a stainless steel sink because of their integrated architectural lines. A few of the JEM Collection faucets are some of the tallest faucets we offer—which means you can easily fit a large pot underneath it. While on the subject of filling up pots, the Decohaus pot fillers have the same great qualities as the Vintage III pot fillers, but are designed for a more modern kitchen. They come in wall or deck mount and have a Polished Chrome finish. Adding these fixtures to your contemporary kitchen will not only enhance the style, but the functionality and quality of your space.

CABINETRY HARDWARE IT’S IN THE DETAILS

WH7

WH2

WH18

There are two different types of cabinetry hardware: functional and decorative. Functional hardware plays into the essence of the room. It blends in, becoming an invisible tool that turns your kitchen into an efficient, flowing space. Decorative hardware stands out, creating a sophisticated look that shows you pay attention to the finer details. The heart of the design is in the detail.

Unlike styles of rooms, the trends for cabinetry hardware vary. Transitional and contemporary are popular, but because you can completely personalize your hardware, there’s no one clear trend. Transitional design is popular because there aren’t any right nor wrong choices for the style. It’s about mixing composition, colors and textures, not finding elements inside one theme. You can find cabinetry hardware in every style from classically simple to intricately ornate. Crystal cabinetry hardware is becoming increasingly popular, moving from bathroom to kitchen design. Consumers are mainly concerned with quality. They want higherend, higher-value products that will complement the design of their kitchen. The biggest thing to remember is to keep it subtle; you don’t want to overpower your cabinetry. Decorative cabinetry hardware is usually on the smaller side, so it blends in with the design

while still managing to stand out from the cabinets. Many people are opting for long, but not bulky, oversized European-style drawer pulls. Another important detail to remember is functionality. The functionality of cabinetry hardware is just as important as its looks. The right hardware enhances the design of the room by making a more efficient space. When done correctly, the functionality of the room will go unnoticed and the looks will shine brightly. Whitehaus Collection, known for its fireclay sinks, also has a stellar supply of decorative cabinetry hardware. With over a hundred different options between finish and shape, you’ll be sure to find the exact model you’re looking for. Many of its products are made from solid brass or stainless steel, so you know you’ll be getting cabinetry hardware that will last a lifetime.

When designing a kitchen, small details have just as much influence on the style as the large elements. These details are subtle, but can make or break a kitchen design. Cabinetry hardware is one of the most overlooked details, but it plays a significant role in the design and functionality of the kitchen. With the right cabinetry hardware, you can customize the kitchen to reflect your personality.

The Countryhaus WHCW3022-8 is a vitreous china utility sink with a high backsplash and pre-drilled 8” holes for a wall mount faucet. This sink is perfect for any utility or laundry room, garage, basement or workspace. WHFS812 PRODUCTS

This front apron or above mount utility sink does the hard work for you. It’s made of vitreous china, so it’s extremely durable. Vitreous china is the result of a coating process applied to porcelain, the hardest clay material on the market. When heated, the glaze becomes enamel and transforms the porcelain into vitreous china. It is chip, stain, and scratch resistant, which is essential for any heavy duty work area. The high backsplash is a great feature to have on a utility sink because it provides an even greater shield for dirt and grime. Besides its functionality, the WHCW3022-8 vitreous china sink is a stylish alternative to the classic stainless steel we often find in utility areas.

STYLISH SHOWER ROOMS

HOW TO CREATE LUXURY IN A SMALL SPACE

M

WH1-114LTB

WHSM01-12

aster baths and powder rooms are the two extremes for bathrooms: typically very large or very small. But what about the bathroom that’s the happy medium? In many suburban homes, you can find shower rooms, which is are bathrooms that only have room for a sink, toilet and shower. Designing these spaces can be difficult, especially if the room is an awkward size, but there are definite ways to enhance its style within the confines of the space. Because there are no bathtubs in shower rooms, you can use that extra space to create an even more luxurious shower. There are so many ways to integrate a beautiful shower spa into a smaller shower.

WH114SCB

10

Kitchen Bath Trends by Whitehaus

A rainfall showerhead is a great way to add to your shower spa. One fixture can bring a lifetime of luxury and relaxation. A small sink is another great way to save space without sacrificing style. A chic, simple wall mount sink is a beautiful addition to your bathroom, and is a great way to add flair. They come in all shapes and sizes, so you can let your personality shine through no matter what. You can also find wall mount sinks with an integrated towel bar to save even more space. If you need an option with more storage, floating vanities are the perfect choice. They provide under-thesink cabinet space without taking up too much room.

Because this is a smaller space, you’ll want to keep the color lighter and brighter, especially if the room doesn’t have a lot of natural light. Dark colors will make the space seem more confined, and if the space is already on the smaller side, that’s something you definitely don’t want. Lighter colors make spaces more open and airy, and can create the illusion of a larger area. Another way to add personality to a smaller space is through accessories. Rugs, hand towels and cabinetry hardware are all small elements that have big impact. You can easily swap these pieces out every few years and completely change the look of your room, making the design extremely versatile.

FOCUS on the FOCAL POINT The kitchen is a natural gathering space within the home. Family members and guests congregate there to eat meals, do chores, or chat over a nice cup of coffee. There should be elements within that space that draws a person and makes them feel comfortable. These elements, otherwise known as focal points, serve many functions. Mainly, the focal point of the room is going to be your wow-factor. A

focal point can be an intricate backsplash, an ornate ventilation hood, a high-contrast island, a colorful appliance, modern artwork, or a unique countertop. When designed properly, these statement pieces will also be extremely functional. When designing a kitchen, the main goal is to create a harmonious space. You want all the elements to work together, rather than each

piece competing to steal the show. The focal point doesn’t have to be a single element. Having multiple focal points, one from each entryway and interior spots with high traffic, makes the viewer want to look around. You should mix and match prominent and subtle focal points, so the space isn’t overwhelming. Depending on what the homeowner chooses as a focal

point, you’ll be able to tell what they value and what is important to them. A person who loves to cook might have a bold backsplash or creative cooking center, whereas a person who loves to entertain might have an intricate island. You should be able to gather a synopsis of the space by glancing at the focal points. It should give you a feel of not only the room’s style, but the homeowner’s personality.

oing green is the hottest trend right now. People recycle as often as possible, carpool to work, and carry reusable bags to the grocery store. However, homeowners often forget that going green doesn’t have to stop there. Whitehaus offers a number of products that are certified to be eco-friendly. The newest eco-friendly product for Whitehaus Collection is the WHMFL3222-EB Magic Flush toilet. This dual flush toilet will save you water and money, making it one of the hottest commodities on the market. An average family of four will save an estimated 10,000 12

gallons of water per year, with up to an 84% reduction in water usage compared to alternative toilet systems, by switching to a dual flush toilet. The WHMFL3222-EB dual flush toilet has two flush settings: partial and full. The partial flush uses .8 gallons per flush, and the full flush uses 1.6. Both flushes have 600 percent more flushing power than the IAPMO standard. In addition to saving water, this Magic Flush toilet has a soft drop seat. It takes 10 seconds for the seat to fall, eliminating the accidental seat slam. It’s also extremely sanitary. This toilet has a glazed

dropway, so there is nowhere for bacteria to cling to, giving you a more hygienic water closet experience. It also allows for easy cleaning of the interior, and the skirt allows for easy cleaning of the exterior. The benefits of this toilet exceed its eco-friendliness. The WHMFL3222-EB dual flush toilet is also extremely stylish. The design of the skirt hides the tubing completely, which is a hard feature to find anywhere else. The influence of European design brings a classy, luxurious, and trendy style to your bathroom.

FUNCTIONALITY: THE KEY TO AN EFFICIENT UTILITY ROOM Whitehaus Collection offers beautiful fixtures for the kitchen and the bath, but its line of utility faucets and sinks are unparalleled in the industry. The key to a great utility room is functionality, plain and simple. No one goes to the utility room to hang out; they go to get chores done! With a great deal of stainless steel options for the laundry room, mud room and utility room, there's a sink for all your needs! All of the stainless steel laundry and utility sinks are made of 304 series stainless steel and range from 16 to 18 gauge. What does stainless steel gauge matter and how do you pick the right one for you? Quality sinks

are made from thicker stainless steel; the lower the gauge number is, the thicker the stainless steel is. Generally, a sink that's being used for laundry or utility purposes (or a kitchen sink that's going to be putting in a lot of work) should be 18 gauge or lower. Prep and bar sinks don't need to be as thick, because they aren't used as often. Thinner stainless steel sinks are more susceptible to dents, and will most likely make a tin-like noise when water is running. All of Whitehaus freestanding laundry sinks have adjustable legs so the height of the sink can be altered to your preference, and they are complete with 8" pre-drilled holes for a wall mount faucet. The Utility Faucets line from Whitehaus

encompasses a variety of models that are guaranteed to enhance the functionality of your utility room. These faucets have extended spout lengths, able to reach into Whitehaus utility sinks with larger bowls. Some faucets have double jointed spout lengths to reach out even further. These wall mount faucets could also be paired with wall mounted or drop-in Whitehaus utility sinks. The largest one, and the most unique is the Noah's Collection WHNC4513L. This sink is great for accommodating a large amount of materials. Handwashing laundry? No problem. Watering potted plants in the sink? Plenty of room.

WHAT’S IN A ROOM? D E F I N I N G T H E B AT H R O OM When you’re designing your home, the bathroom is one of the key spaces that needs to be incorporated. Whether you have one or four baths in your home, there are certain elements that need to be included in order for it to be considered a bathroom. Each combination of elements creates a different type of bathroom. A bathroom is a room used for personal hygiene and generally contains a bathtub or shower and possibly a bidet. In North America and a few other regions, bathrooms also contain a toilet and sink. Most other areas have two separate rooms, one with a bathtub and shower and another with a toilet and sink. There are many different types of bathrooms you can incorporate into your home. Each type has its own characteristics and location within the house.

18

Kitchen Bath Trends by Whitehaus

the Bathroom

POWDER ROOM A powder room, also known as a half bath or guest bath, is a smaller bathroom with just a toilet and sink. This is usually located on the first floor of the house and used primarily by guests. Homeowners typically enjoy incorporating bright colors and natural light into powder rooms due to their smaller size. These elements make the room seem more spacious. You can also include a smaller wall mount or pedestal sink to save space.

SHOWER ROOM A shower room is also known as a ¾ bath and contains a shower cubicle or stall but no bathtub. You can find these on the floor with bedrooms or in a basement suite. These rooms are generally bigger than powder rooms, but not as big as full bathrooms. Therefore, you would still want to use brighter colors and natural light to enhance and enlarge the space.

ENSUITE An ensuite is a bathroom or shower room only accessible from a bedroom. This is typically the master bath, but can also be found off any additional bedrooms depending on the size of the home. Ensuites are perfect for creating spas at home. Deluxe showers, above mount sinks and freestanding bathtubs are all ways to maximize the luxury of your bathroom. Privacy is the key to these rooms. Because they’re only accessible through the bedroom, this is definitely a serene space.

FAMILY BATHROOM Family bathrooms are any full bathrooms in a house. These include a bathtub, shower, sink and toilet and are primarily found on the floor with bedrooms. This is your typical standard bathroom, so anything goes when it comes to style. Neutrals are a hot trend for these rooms, especially gray and beige. White is also a solid choice, especially for children’s bathrooms, because they can be easily updated just by swapping accessories. If you have only one bathroom in your home, this is the ideal space for you. It has all the elements you need to increase the value of your home.

JACK AND JILL BATHROOM A Jack and Jill bathroom is one that has two doors accessible from two bedrooms like the kids’ bathroom on The Brady Bunch. Equipped with the standard features of a bathroom, this room is typically found between two children or guest bedrooms. This layout saves space because two bedrooms can equally share one bathroom rather than putting an ensuite in every room. TRENDS

WETROOM A wetroom is a waterproof room equipped with a shower and designed to eliminate moisture damage. There is a partial or no wall between the shower and the rest of the room, and makes a perfect shower spa. This type of bathroom is becoming one of the hottest trends of 2014. You can add a bench, body sprays and a rainfall showerhead to complete this shower sanctuary. www.kitchenbathtrends.com

great style option for those who want a customizable space. You can create a layout around your personal workflow, optimizing functionality. Another benefit of an open concept kitchen is how bright and airy the space becomes. With an open layout, you allow natural light to pour in from all sides. This contributes to the room seeming larger and makes the space more welcoming.

with storage is a great element for an open concept kitchen. This not only provides extra storage, but also creates a breakfast bar for casual meals. If space doesn’t allow for an island, a pass through is an ideal solution. A pass through is an opening that resembles a window between two rooms. It can be used to pass dishes through to another room or to create a breakfast bar.

It allows for a lot of breathing room when entertaining, and also makes you feel connected to your family. You have a space that allows for more socialization than that of a closed concept kitchen.” Open concept kitchens are most favorable by families because it allows for extreme multitasking. Parents can cook while watching the news and helping children with homework. It perfects the workflow and lets families gather in a communal space without being cramped. Creating an open layout is not an easy task, but there are certain features that can ease the transition from a closed concept kitchen to an open one. Having a single wall of kitchen cabinetry and an island

When designing an open concept kitchen, you should select hues in the same tone family for a seamless flow between the kitchen and living areas. Mixing styles such as country in the kitchen and modern in the living area will create serious disconnect between the spaces, negating the effect of an open concept. The best way to tie the rooms together is through accessories. Pulling certain colors from the kitchen and replicating them in the living area will allow your space to truly feel open. www.kitchenbathtrends.com

pen concept kitchens are transitioning from trend to way of life. These luxurious layouts are popping up in homes all over the country. From traditional to modern, it matches every style and is sure to be the “wow-factor” of your home. Having an open concept kitchen creates a functional gathering space. It allows for a lot of breathing room when entertaining, and also makes you feel connected to your family or guests while cooking. You have a space that allows for more socialization than that of a closed kitchen concept. Open concept kitchens create more visual space. It’s always a benefit to have a room that seems larger than it is, but it’s extremely beneficial in smaller houses, condos and townhouses. These smaller kitchens become more functional when you diminish the amount of walls separating the three areas. You also get more value for your money with an open concept kitchen. This layout style is always in demand and will never be outdated. It can increase the value of your house if the next homeowner is searching for a kitchen with an open concept. These open concept kitchens come in a variety of shapes and sizes, so it’s a

Organization is the key to a successful kitchen. Set aside a day to revamp your kitchen workflow with these tips we’ve compiled for you. They’re guaranteed to make your kitchen more convenient!

1

Clean out your refrigerator

This is the first item on your organization to-do list. With every meal comes leftovers, and you’ll want to maximize your storage space, especially for foods that need to stay chilled during other parts of the meal. Start by throwing out all expired foods. Reassess the condition of existing leftovers. If you won’t eat it within 36 hours, throw it out. Then remove the items that will ultimately stay in the fridge, and wipe down the shelves. When you put everything back inside, organize the contents by type, placing the most frequently used items in front. Helpful Hint Don’t forget a box of baking soda! It’ll battle odors and create a fresh storage space.

2

Organize your utensils

Home stores sell inexpensive, compartmentalized utensil organizers in a variety of sizes and materials. Most people use organizers for the main utensils, such as forks, knives and spoons, and disregard the organization of can openers, ladles, spatulas and other non-traditional culinary equipment. If it takes you longer to find the turkey baster than it does to baste the turkey, you need to reconsider your organization. You should be able to see and reach everything in the drawer so you can grab a utensil and go. Helpful Hint Steel mesh, expandable organizers are easy to clean and are guaranteed to fit every drawer size.

3

Rearrange your cabinet space

Pull out all your dishes and assess your inventory. The most used dishes should go on the bottom shelf of the most convenient cabinet, creating a more functional workspace. If the shelves in your cabinet can be moved, rearrange them to accommodate different dish sizes. If they’re stationary, consider nesting bowls and casserole dishes to maximize storage space. Helpful Hint To fit more stemware glasses in a cabinet, place every other glass upside down! Photos provided by: Kitchen Designs by Ken Kelly www.kitchendesigns.com

4 Designate stations within your kitchen Creating different work stations for tasks will enhance the flow of your kitchen. A baking zone should consist of a counter and cabinet for cookie sheets, loaf pans, oven mitts, flower, sugar, measuring cups and spoons, and other baking needs. If you have a stylish mixer, leave it on the counter for a touch of decoration. A cleaning station is typically under the sink and contains all of your cleaning supplies. Paper towels should be placed next to the sink alongside soap and sponges. If your kitchen doesn’t have a

out your pantry 7 Clean Much like the refrigerator, start with getting rid of expired foods. Check your cabinet for extras of any canned goods and donate them to a local food shelter or neighbor. Then group the remaining food by category or time of day it’s consumed. Helpful Hint If space permits, install a Lazy Susan for spices and sauces. It’ll help keep things organized and visible.

Organizing recipes can help tame drawers or cabinets. Toss away recipes you haven’t used in a long time or ones that didn’t quite come out the way you hoped it would. Then split the recipes up by the type of dish or time of year it’s consumed. Transfer recipes ripped out of books or magazines to index cards and keep them in a recipe box or binder. Helpful Hint Creating tabs for your recipe holder will enhance your ability to quickly locate your desired recipe.

your accessories 8 Hang Oven mitts, dish towels and aprons can take up valuable drawer space. By hanging them, you not only unclutter a drawer, but you free up that space for other storage use. It also allows your oven mitts, towels and aprons to dry easily and out of the way. Helpful Hint Make sure you mount them at least two feet away from the stove to eliminate fire hazards and messes.

Storage space is highly coveted in the kitchen, but most homeowners waste space with cabinets and drawers filled with mismatched plastic containers and lids. Get rid of your tired, old plastics and invest in some new ones. Helpful Hint Plastic containers that nest together and have interlocking lids will maximize storage space and prevent losing part of the set.

bar area, a beverage station is a handy way to keep everything together. Glasses should be kept near bottles of wine, and always have a corkscrew and bottle opener nearby for convenience. A meal prep station should contain bowls, plates, utensils, a pantry and the bread drawer, and should be relatively close to the refrigerator. Helpful Hint Reorganizing the workflow of your kitchen can greatly enhance its functionality, and make it easier for guests to find things.

When you’re buying a bathtub, there’s a lot of emphasis on the tub itself. Do you want it built-in or freestanding? Rectangular or oval? Acrylic or copper? Large or small? With all these questions, it’s easy to get wrapped up in the tub and overlook the tub filler. Choosing the right tub filler is just as important as choosing the right tub. If you choose the wrong one, you could break the design of your bathroom. There are two main types of tub fillers: freestanding and deck mount. While it’s usually seen as freestanding bathtubs with freestanding tub fillers and built-in bathtubs with deck mount tub fillers, it doesn’t mean that you can’t mix and match. A freestanding tub filler stands by itself completely over the tub. It supports its own weight and attaches directly to the plumbing systems. Because it’s not attached to the tub, you have the option to move the tub filler around, making it easy to update your bathroom. Most importantly, a freestanding tub filler stands as its own design. It’s not a piece of the puzzle; it’s a statement piece. At Whitehaus, we have three freestanding tub fillers as part of the Bathhaus collection. Each has its own style, fitting every type of bathroom from traditional to modern. They also each have integrated handheld shower sprays with a diverter valve. Deck mount tub fillers are mounted to the rim of a tub. The tub supports the weight of the tub filler, and it attaches to the plumbing system through four holes in the tub. Deck mount tub fillers are an integrated part of the tub design. It serves to complete the look of the tub, in addition to its functionality. At Whitehaus, we have many different deck mount tub fillers in various styles and finishes. They match the Blairhaus collection of faucets, creating a cohesive look between your sink and tub. These tub fillers also have a handheld shower spray with a diverter valve. Picking the right tub filler for your bathroom will enhance the overall design of the room, so make sure to weigh your options before deciding!

SUBWAY TILE I S ALWAYS I N ST Y LE

Creating a subway tile wall with a herringbone subway tile backsplash is a fantastic way to give your kitchen a unique look. Layering the different patterns on top of each other is the perfect way to make your backsplash pop without having to purchase new materials. Not only is this cost-effective, but it looks extremely luxurious. One of the coolest uses we found of subway tiles was actually for flooring. While many kitchens have tile flooring, using subway tiles is a great way to spice up an otherwise overdone floor treatment. For a beautiful design statement and “wow factor,” use subway tiles in your bath design. It brings an urban twist to a classic style and really ties the room together. www.kitchenbathtrends.com

TRENDS

When you take the subway, you’re usually in a rush. Your focus is on the destination, not the journey. And why would it be? The subway is dirty, grimy and filled with people who are also in a rush. With the hustle and bustle of city life, no one ever takes a second to stop and really take in their surroundings. No one has really noticed the beauty of subway tile until recently. One of the hottest trends right now is using subway tile as an accent wall or backsplash in your kitchen. The tile comes in all different colors and sizes, making your kitchen stand out among the rest. With subway tile, you have options ranging from shape to size, color to material. Patterns are another way to diversify your tile.

SCAN YOUR WAY TO SUCCESSFUL SHIPPING

The only thing more important than being able to provide quality products that are trendy, stylish and functional is the ability to supply these products in a timely, efficient manner. Shipping the right products to dealers is a process that has been perfected by Whitehaus Collection, ensuring the products that are shipped are the same exact ones that were ordered. The process at Whitehaus Collection revolves around simplicity. When a product arrives from the factory, a barcode is fixated on the product’s box. This product is then scanned into the system with its model number and finish. Every model number and finish has its own barcode, so the probability of mixing up items is nonexistent. When an order is placed with products in large quantities, each item is scanned before being shipped. The scanner then compares

the barcode’s model number and finish to the one on the order. This verification process eliminates any chance of the wrong product being shipped out. The efficiency and simplicity of this process allows Whitehaus Collection to ship out orders quickly. Most orders are shipped from Whitehaus Collection within 24 hours of being placed. Scanning products guarantees that the correct items and finishes are being pulled and verified before being shipped. The importance of this is insurmountable. Whitehaus Collection has always been a leader in fireclay and all other kitchen and bath fixtures. With this updated system enacted in its warehouse, Whitehaus Collection is redefining the standard for successful shipping.
