A Note from the Creative Team

Welcome to Press Start! Today, we invite you to immerse yourselves in a vibrant video game universe where heroes, sidekicks, villains—and even the audience—work together to save the day. Throughout our journey, we explore the true meaning of heroism—discovering that it lies in helping others, facing challenges, and spreading kindness along the way.

This story is brought to life by our incredible Penguin Project company consisting of actors, mentors, crew, and designers—each contributing their own unique talents to this production. Together, they’ve shown us the power of inclusion, collaboration, and celebrating individual strengths. Behind the scenes, actors are embracing challenges with courage and mentors are supporting their partners with care. Our production team has crafted an imaginative, pixelated world designed with accessibility in mind and our crew is seamlessly working together to make theatre magic happen. These everyday heroes remind us that we all have the power to make a difference.

We hope Press Start inspires you to discover your own inner hero and that you leave the theatre today with a happy heart. Thank you for joining us on this wonderful adventure!

With Love, AnnMarie, Emma, Jeannine, and Sarah
