The only way to upgrade from economy to business class on Qatar Airways without receiving a paid upgrade offer is to pay the price difference between your original ticket and the commercial Business class rate, plus any applicable change fees. If you have a Qatar Airways ticket and would like to upgrade to Business class, you may choose to do so at a cheaper airport. There is no intermediate class between Economy and Business or First Class on Qatar Airways flights; passengers can move directly between the two.
