Empowering Nursing Students to Expand Healthcare Access Across Georgia's Underserved Communities

This project is a collaborative effort aimed at enhancing mobile healthcare services across nine medically underserved counties in Georgia. Over a fouryear period, the initiative will deploy nurse-led, high-quality healthcare via mobile units, expanding Emory University’s existing partnerships with community-based and public health organizations in metro Atlanta and Moultrie, GA The program offers an immersive clinical experience for 28 pre-licensure and 12 advanced practice nursing students, helping to increase patient reach in these communities by 20% This expansion will be supported through culturally sensitive care approaches, improved health literacy, and innovative technology solutions Additionally, the project will deliver web-based professional development modules on social determinants of health to further educate and support healthcare providers involved in the initiative

Role:

As Project Manager, I drove the achievement of project milestones and ensured timely delivery by maintaining organized documentation and tracking systems to support accurate reporting and data analysis I managed federal funding reports, researched emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions, and led executive and team meetings My responsibilities included managing work plans, drafting key communications, and collaborating with stakeholders to meet project goals I also supported budgeting, led team onboarding, and implemented efficient systems for scheduling, partner requests, data collection, and reporting

Implementing a Volunteer Management System to Enhance Training for Interns at a Women’s Advocacy Organization

Project aimed to support an organization, that focuses on helping women overcome sex trafficking, prostitution, and addiction The organization faced challenges with managing the previous tools used for training interns This time-consuming task was placing a significant burden on the Executive Director and staff, while also impacting the intern training experience. The project team was tasked with addressing these issues. The project scope involved creating a draft intern journey, identifying pain points, and exploring cost-effective or free Learning Management Systems (LMS) to replace the current system

ROLE:

As a member of the project team, my duties included mapping the workflow to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement within the training process. I actively participated in team meetings, contributing to discussions and strategy development, and played a key role in preparing and delivering presentations to the board This involvement was crucial in ensuring that all aspects of the project were thoroughly analyzed and addressed, and that our recommendations were effectively communicated to stakeholders

The project team recommended transitioning to a volunteer management system instead of the originally requested Learning Management System (LMS) This recommendation addressed the intern onboarding challenges more effectively and offered additional use cases that aligned with the organization’s broader needs. The team developed a comprehensive future state workflow and an implementation plan, outlining clear next steps for the operations team This included connecting them with the vendor for account setup and training, ensuring a smooth transition and effective integration of the new system into the organization’s operations The final outcome was met with positive feedback from the CEO and board, who appreciated the tailored solution and the thorough approach taken by the team

This project involved workflow development for an independent ritual designer and wedding officiant The objective was to develop a streamlined workflow and implement a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to improve scheduling, billing, and website/marketing updates The client was committed to their creative process but lacked efficiency in back office systems required to effectively run a business Project required an assessment of the current workflow, identify both existing and potential needs, and design and implement an optimized workflow and CRM solution

ROLE:

As Project Manager for this initiative, I led the effort to map and optimize the client's workflow, focusing on identifying opportunities to enhance processes and operational efficiencies My role involved evaluating emerging technologies and best practices to provide informed recommendations for improvements I oversaw the implementation of a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, ensuring that it was seamlessly integrated into the existing operations This included coordinating with stakeholders, managing the deployment process, and providing training to ensure effective use of the new system The result was a streamlined workflow and enhanced operational efficiency, tailored to meet the client's unique needs and objectives

As Program Manager for the Virtual Nocturnist Program, I played a key role in ensuring the initiative’s successful implementation. My responsibilities included developing a comprehensive project plan, leading the kickoff meeting, and ensuring the program stayed on track to meet its targeted launch date. As Clerk and a key member of the project team, I managed timelines, coordinated resources, and oversaw the Downtown Streetscape Improvement project.
