Presidents Letter Hello hello Key Clubbers! The school year has finally started and we’re already busy with events and we haven’t even had our first meeting! Speaking of our first meeting it will be on THURSDAY the 14th in the East Wing Auditorium @2:30. I’m excited to see you guys and the new members! There is will an introduction of what Key Club is, officer introductions, upcoming events and announcements along with bonding with some ice breakers! By the way, while you’re on your way to our meeting bring someone you randomly find in the hallways. I’M JUST KIDDING but you guys should help promote the club! Promote the club for the service that we give to the community. There are social aspects but that’s not what our club is mainly about. Also, represent our club well and prepare to start the new school year strong and hopefully stay strong throughout the entire year into the next.

Along with the beginning of the new year you should pay your Key Club dues! They’re $13 until October then they will become $14! In order to become an official member or if you are planning on running for any officer position please pay your dues! Paying dues is VERY important so please pay your dues! Your community service hours will not count if your dues are not paid. You need community service hours to graduate and if you are planning on going to District Convention then pay your dues! Once you have paid your dues then give your receipt to our treasurer, Ammy Huynh. She will put you into the membership center and then you’ll receive a card (if you are a new member) and a certificate during our member installation banquet that will be in the upcoming future!

Our meetings are temporarily on THURSDAYS for now. People have been telling me that there are schedule conflicts having meetings on Thursdays but we can change our meeting days. We are just testing the waters of having it on Thursdays since Wednesdays are now early release. More information will be released on our meeting schedules later!

Thank you for those who actually read this long letter. I hope to be the club’s good lek charm. Let’s be friends and help the community around us to slowly make the world a better place!!

In love and service, Lexie Lam

Hello Key Clubbers!! The school year has started for a lot of us but that means new Key Clubbers, especially Freshmen!!! Here's a recap of what happened in August. At the beginning of the month, there was Portland and Tacoma Rally! I hope that those who went had lots of fun!! In the middle of the month we had some volunteering opportunities. Towards the end of the month we had our Club bonding! It was a potluck where we had ice breakers and filmed our promotional video! We also had 2 incoming freshmen come! About a week later, we had a table at Royal Rally day where we promoted Key Club to incoming freshmen!! That's about it for the month of August! Concessions season is upon us! Be sure to stay-nected by staying updated on the website and social media! In Love and Service, Elijah Suarez
