Where he wanted them to excel in education and other fields of life, he always wanted Sikhs to do well in the sports field. This tournament is part of fulfilling his vision of organizing a sports day, where everyone would come and play different sports and have fun. Purpose The purpose of this event is to give our community an opportunity to come out, have a wonderful day of fun, encourage our youth to take up sports and raise funds for Sikh student scholarships. The purpose of this event is to give our community an opportunity to come out, have a onwderful day of fun, encourage our youth to take up sports and raise funds for Sikh student scholarships who are pursuing higher education. What started as an idea after passing away of Papaji, has become a regular feature for our community. People look forward to this event every year to come, hang out with friends and family and have fun. Every year, the number of participants has increased and so has the quality of talent. He was accompanied by his son Deep who lives in England but happened to be here and decided to accompany his dad. There was also some magic in the tournament as Dan Mckinnon, the magician entertained the guests with his magic tricks. As the evening rolled in, so did the dinner guests. Golfers also came off the field after their round of golf. Everyone was welcomed with smiles and warm, yummy appetizers. The evening program was started with Payal Kaur welcoming everyone and giving a quick glimpse of IIGS in 2013. This was followed by Guninder Kaur introducing the young golfers who participated in this tournament. The youngest golfer was seven years old who came out with his dad. This was followed by recognizing the sponsors and special thanks to all especially the volunteers. The day concluded with announcements of tournament winners and raffle giveaways.
