Dear Pinewood Community,
With great enthusiasm, I present to you–the catalog for the Pinewood 2024 Annual Benefit Auction: A Night at the Kentucky Derby. Within its pages, you will discover exclusive sports experiences, exquisite homes generously offered by our community members, and (perhaps most thrillingly) unique opportunities for faculty-led student experiences.
As you peruse these items, please bear in mind that all proceeds from both the online and in-person events will go toward the Pinewood Faculty Professional Development and Graduate Study Reimbursement Program. I trust that you share my excitement in supporting our teachers as they strive for professional growth, aiming to enhance their teaching skills and foster the exceptional learning environment that defines a Pinewood education. The dedicated Pinewood faculty works tirelessly to cultivate our children’s minds and hearts, and your support of the Benefit Auction is a meaningful gesture of gratitude for their dedication and hard work.
This effort would not have been possible without the Auction Committee. I extend my heartfelt thanks to them for their hard work, collaboration, and inspiring creativity. I am sincerely grateful that they have chosen to contribute their time and talent to Pinewood so generously.
Enjoy the browsing experience! I encourage you to bid enthusiastically and frequently to support Pinewood’s most valuable asset–our faculty!
Lara McGurk Chair, Pinewood 2024 Annual Benefit AuctionFund-A-Need is an outright donation to the Faculty Professional Development and Graduate Reimbursement Program. If you are going to choose one area to support at the Auction, we encourage you to choose this one.
The Faculty Professional Development and Graduate Study Reimbursement Program is a distinctive fund that supports Pinewood’s incredible faculty and staff. The fund provides much-needed resources for ongoing faculty participation in conferences and programs where they learn the best possible ways to create an excellent academic experience for our students. Pinewood faculty pride themselves on being lifelong learners and consistently working to improve their teaching techniques by aligning them with current best practices and research.
These benefits and opportunities make Pinewood an even more desirable place to work for our teachers and help us recruit and retain the best talent in faculty in a very competitive independent school landscape.
Pinewood is proud to offer a Graduate Study Reimbursement Program through which our faculty can pursue a part-time graduate degree while continuing to teach.
