SPECULATIVE PROJECTS Research, Fabrication, Exhibitions, Academic, and Humanitarian
This represents a sample of projects done independently, collaboratively, or with group with volunteers, for institutions, or for predominantly research based architecture projects. Our biggest interest is in the way design can foster interaction and engagement with the community and specifically how material, networks and consumer cycles play a role. Most built installation work is from design competitions and commissions won in which I reuse and reconstitute discarded waste and give it new material application in public spaces.

Comparison Notes
There are several variations for how these closets can work which we can still adjust - for example, this shows a dresser placed in this niche. Alt 1 = seating area, Alt 2 - larger walk in closet, Alt 3 = 2 closets.
PUEBLO DUPLEX Residential for Developer Project Pueblo, Colorado
Living area below is still double height, just not open to a railing at second level.
This provides a double height wall - still creates feeling of more space and can be used as art or lighting wall.
Railing here would overlook living space below.
Seating area and dresser shown here. Could alternatively be larger closet, 2 closets, or this niche would make an ideal morning sitting area with east facing windows. Efficient circulation; minimal hallway space.
A: No Loft
Stair is mirrored in order to create a nice flow from the stairs to overlooking the living space in the lofted area.
Taking circulation for the lofted area creates nice open feel but does reduce this bedroom width to 9'-0".
Flipping the stair creates a few extra feet on the east, making this bedroom more ideal as the master suite.
B: With Loft
