ABOUT ME As a dedicated and eager to learn landscape architecture student, I bring a unique blend of creativity and technical expertise to the field.

Currently pursuing my degree, I am enthusiastic about contributing my skills and knowledge thus far to a dynamic internship opportunity.

Beyond my academic pursuits, my life is enriched by spending time with my husband and my sweet 6 year old son, Miles. These responsibilities have honed my time management and organizational abilities, allowing me to excel both in my academic endeavors and personal life. The support system I have at home has allowed me to pursue this degree later in life, which I am very grateful for.

My passion for landscape architecture is deeply rooted in my appreciation for creating spaces that harmonize with nature while meeting the needs of communities. DEER PARK, TX

During my third year, first semester studio, I was tasked with creating an open space plan for the Parks and Recreation department in Deer Park, TX. Improving the circulation was my number one goal, which came to fruition by proposing a redesign of the existing canal system into walking trails, and completing the conneciton with a comprehensive bike trail. My proposed bike trail solutions are shown to the right, as well as perspective views of a smaller scale redesign of one of Deer Park’s existing parks, Bayou Bend Park.

THOMAS PARK, COLLEGE STATION, TX

In my second year studio, I was tasked with redesigning a neighborhood park in College Station. Thomas Park is centrally located in a residential area. The existing features included a basketball and tennis court, soccer field, parking lot, drainage ravine that extended through the lower half, and some outdated picnic tables scattered throughout.

Working with my partner, we decided our redeisgn should include a natural playscape, open lawn that could be used for recreational activites as well as a soccer field, treehouse structure inspired by the one in Pease Park in Austin, berm separating the sports fields for observing the players, community garden, and an interactive water area created by widening the ravine.

I focused on creating the site plan graphic to the right, while my partner did the 3D modeling. We then worked together in Lumion to create the perspective rendering below which showcases the interactive creek.

MILTON PARKER ESTATE, COLLEGE STATION, TX

Another second year studio project was the design for Milton Parker Estate in College Station. Built in 1885, the mansion operates as a bed and breakfast and is located on four Live Oak covered acres just steps from historic downtown Bryan.

The owners, Bob and Denise Barbier, wanted to develop the space behind the mansion into something that could not only be utilized by their guests, but could also serve as an event space. In addition, they requested a small vineyard and loved the idea of growing other edible plants as well.

The Mansion is classic Victorian architecture, so I wanted to keep true to that style in the garden design. My partner and I decided a formal conservatory could be a great amenity for guests at the mansion but could double as an event space. We surrounded the conservatory with a formal Victorian garden, complete with a water feature on one end and a fire pit area on the other. Extra parking was needed, so we suggested a pervious grass paver lot. In the center of the property we opted for a wildflower garden with a greenhouse and seating options. The formal terraced garden gives way to an open lawn followed by the orchard.

WHITE CREEK, COLLEGE STATION, TX

White creek is located on the campus of Texas A&M University. This space gave my classmates and I the opportunity to work on a site with diverse topography. The creek runs through the center of the site, which is located next to the Leach Teaching Gardens. Our design was to be an extension of the already successful gardens at Leach.

I chose to incorporate a rainwater filtering demonstration, central deck and waterfall feature, native orchard, dining pavilion, hydroponic garden, and an expanded creek area with fountains.

LANGFORD COMPLEX, COLLEGE STATION, TX

The Langford complex at Texas A&M University is comprised of the three Architecture buildings, surrounded by concrete. For this project, we were to design a temporary landscape through the corridors, as well as a permanent garden for the outside of Langford C. My partners and I chose to create a temporary landscape to celebrate Earth Day. We included an arched entrance with a globe display, a recycled wood pallet climbing structure with a recycled bottle art display overhead, informational booths for Earth Day demonstrations, recycling stations, geometric painted concrete, and a meditation garden.

For the design outside of Langford C, I proposed a xeric terraced garden that would work with the existing slope of the landscape complete with native, low-water plantings.

I also included three sculpture platforms that could be used by the Architecture department to rotationally display work by students. I completed the site plan here, while my partners completed the perspective views.
