ABOUT ME: I am a romantic at heart and love every wedding I shoot. Each one is different and unique and it is these personal and unique details and moments of your day that I love to capture. I am easy going and relaxed and this is reflected in my photography. I live with my ever patient and amazing boyfriend Dave and our little boy Ivor in Daybrook, Nottingham. As well as photography, other passions include Lindy hop dancing, reading, watching movies, rummaging around charity shops, walking up hills, eating chocolate and drinking tea. I also love meeting new people. I have been lucky enough to work with wonderful couples, many of whom have written such kind words about my work, which you can read here: http://www.kathrynedwardsphotography.com/testimonials/ !

Coverage: I like to keep things simple so I have one price that covers all and that means the full story of your wedding day from getting ready up until just after the first dance. This is usually around 11am to 8.30pm but these times can be negotiable depending on how your day is planned. I normally take around 1500 photographs on an average wedding day and so you are guaranteed good coverage. Of course I edit these photos down and you will receive around 400 selected and edited photographs from your special day provided on a USB and also available to view on my online gallery.

Engagement Shoots: So why do we need to have an engagement shoot? Well, I call it an engagement shoot, but I suppose it is more of a pre-wedding practice shoot, and there are a number of reasons why I find doing a shoot like this before your wedding is invaluable.

Firstly it is a fantastic opportunity for us to get to know each other. I get to know how you are as a couple and how best to photograph you together, and you get to know me as a photographer and this means by your wedding day, we will already have formed some kind of relationship, and I am not a complete stranger come to photograph you all day. You will also feel more comfortable having your photos taken. Also, I love doing these shoots. It is so nice to spend some time with you and take some lovely pictures that you can hopefully treasure for years to come. Some of my couples chose to put their pictures in a guest signing book. Please ask me for more details about this. Nearly all my couples say they are not very good in front of a camera or that they don’t like having their picture taken, but by the end of the shoot say actually it was quite fun and they felt more relaxed than they imagined they would. !

Getting Ready: This is one of my favourite parts of the day. The calm before the storm. The excitement buzzing. The intimacy of family relationships that I feel privileged to witness. The first time a father sees his daughter. A mother’s pride. Bridesmaids helping with the dress. All these moments are so special.

I also use this time to take creative pictures of the dress and shoes before you get them on. After all you have probably spent enough time and money choosing them, you want some pictures of them too right?

The Ceremony: I have photographed all sorts of different ceremonies, from traditional church to outdoor humanist wedding ceremonies. The important thing for me is that I manage to photograph the proceedings, whilst remaining unobtrusive. I recognize that this part of your wedding is sacred and I therefore want to capture it, whilst trying to be as invisible as I can.

Group Shots: Although my style is natural and informal, I do recognize the importance of a few formal group shots and will make sure we set aside 20-30 minutes after your ceremony to get these done. However, I am also aware that these photos can take way too long, and guests as well as yourselves will just get bored if
!
we spend too long taking combination after combination of different line-ups, so I try to be as organized as possible. I normally get a list of no more than about 6 shots before hand (not including bridal party) and get a best man or bridesmaid to help me fetch the relevant people. !

I leave the bridal party group shots until a little later, when we can have a bit more fun with you all. Instead of the formal lines, I like to capture the laughter and fun in your friendships. These photographs can be lots of fun

Couples shots: This is one of my favourite parts of the day to photograph and I have been told often it is also one of my couple’s favourite parts of the day. This is partly because it gives you a moment to step away from all the hustle and bustle of your wedding, which can be rather over-whelming, and take a moment to be on your own. Well nearly on your own, but you won’t notice me much! ;-) I normally make time for two separate mini shoots with you in the day. One just after the group shots and before your wedding breakfast, and another after your wedding breakfast when we get that lovely golden hour just before the sun sets. I have been known to take a couple away from their dessert to catch a beautiful sunset. You can always come back to it, and at this point your guests will hardly notice you missing for 5 minutes.

Albums: My package includes high res digital JPGs provided on a USB and also available to view via my password protected online client gallery. Family and friends can also view your photos this way, and will have the option to purchase prints or digital downloads if they wish. Albums are not included in the price and I offer a range of different albums starting from ÂŁ150 for my coffee table style album, and starting at ÂŁ450 for my large album. As well as albums, I offer a range of beautiful products including wooden frames, canvas and block prints and montage frames. You are free to contact me any time after your wedding to purchase an album and arrange a meeting to view my samples again if you wish. ! !
