The agency fully renovated a 20,000m² warehouse into innovative office space and a community center. The new space, Les Magasins généraux, has become a cultural destination in Greater Paris.

SCOPE OF WORK: Develop all English press materials | Pitch media & manage media communication Articulate the agency’s mission for L.M.G. into shareable language Forget the traditional Paris of old. BETC’s innovation hub Les Magasins Généraux is now open for dining and working.

BETC, the award-winning advertising agency announces the opening of its new Paris hub -- Les Magasins Généraux. The 20,000m² former flour and grain warehouse is situated in the burgeoning area of Pantin, on the banks of the canal de l’Ourq. The ambition — to pioneer creative growth, production and innovation in the new, Greater Paris.

Les Magasins Généraux presents a diverse cultural ecosystem, housing BETC’s 900 staff, startups, influencers, artists-in-residence, a co-working space and a dedicated creative space open to the public. A talented team of European workplace strategy experts have mapped out the building’s five floors to encourage new forms of collaboration. Working with a city-planning approach, BETC and the Les Magasins Généraux design team have created a new workplace format for the industry -- an evolutionary shared space where culture meets business and entrepreneurism.

Founded in 1994 by Rémi Babinet, Mercedes Erra and Eric Tong Cuong, BETC is one of Europe’s leading advertising agencies, making its name by creating iconic campaigns for the likes of evian, Canal+ and Lacoste. KIMPTON DE WITT HOTEL, AMSTERDAM Developed the communications strategy for Kimpton Hotels’ European expansion.

Refined the brand’s signature conversational tone of voice for a European audience.

Created copy for the website and all press materials ahead of Kimpton De Witt’s opening in Amsterdam, the first Kimpton hotel property in Europe.

Thriving neighborhood for global nomads Zoku provides a home base for holiday and business travelers who want to live (and work) in a European capital for a few days or a few months. It’s a home-office hybrid with hotel services, and a relaxed place to live, work and socialize with likeminded people.

The Loft: A Home/Office Hybrid 150 interviews with our target audience and 6 prototypes created the end of the hotel room as we know it The award-winning Zoku Loft is a flexible home-office hybrid that offers all the necessary facilities to live comfortably and work efficiently. It’s a spacious micro-apartment suitable for living comfortably and working efficiently. In a regular hotel room or studio apartment, the bed dominates. In the Zoku Loft, the big kitchen table is the paramount center for laptops or candles and a bottle of wine.
