… to ITHAKA (ζνα αλληγορικό ταξίδι εμπνευςμζνο από το ποίημα του Κ. Καβάφη «Ιθάκη») Το ΑΤΕΙ Θεςςαλονίκθσ από το 2014 ςυμμετζχει ςτο Πρόγραμμα ERASMUS MUNDUS, MAYANET – ASSUR, ζνα πρόγραμμα κινθτικότθτασ φοιτθτϊν από διαμετρικά αντίκετα ςθμεία τθσ Γθσ, τθν Κεντρολατινικι Αμερικι και τθν Συρία, που βαςίςτθκε ςτθν πρόταςθ του Πανεπιςτθμίου L’ Aquila τθσ Ιταλίασ, με εμπνευςτι και οργανωτι τθν κακθγιτρια Tozzi Anna και ςυνεργάτεσ μια ομάδα Πανεπιςτθμίων από Ευρϊπθ, Κεντρολατινικι Αμερικι και Συρία. Το ΑΤΕΙ Θεςςαλονίκθσ με τθ ςυμμετοχι του ςτο πρόγραμμα και μζςα από τθν αγαςτι ςυνεργαςία με τα ςυμπράττοντα Ιδρφματα ανζδειξε το ςυγκεκριμζνο πρόγραμμα κινθτικότθτασ φοιτθτϊν ςε πολιτιςμικι και πολιτιςτικι ανταλλαγι, ενεργοποιϊντασ, όπωσ κα ζλεγε και ο ποιθτισ, «ποικίλεσ δράςεισ ςτοχαςτικών προςαρμογών». Η ζνκερμθ από τθν αρχι υποςτιριξθ του νυν πρφτανθ του ΑΤΕΙΘ, κ. Τηιϊνα Παναγιϊτθ, ζβαλε τθ ςφραγίδα για μία διαφορετικι προςζγγιςθ του προγράμματοσ και βοικθςε να ξεπεραςτεί το άχκοσ τθσ γραφειοκρατίασ, που προχποκζτει ζνα τζτοιο εγχείρθμα, κινθτοποιϊντασ τθ φανταςία, τθν ζμπνευςθ, τθν πρωτοβουλία και τον ενκουςιαςμό τθσ ομάδασ, ϊςτε να κοςμίςουν τον «καμβά» αυτοφ του τετράχρονου πίνακα με χρϊματα, αιςκιςεισ και αρϊματα πολυπολιτιςμικά, κάνοντάσ τον να φαντάηει ςτα μάτια των ςυμμετεχόντων φοιτθτϊν ωσ το «γεμάτο περιπζτειεσ, γεμάτο γνώςεισ» ταξίδι ςτθν Ικάκθ. Το Κδρυμα γζμιςε με ςθμαίεσ και χρϊματα από τθν Ονδοφρα, τθ Νικαράγουα, το Ελ Σαλβαδόρ, τθν Κολομβία, τθ Συρία, με πρωτόγνωρα ακοφςματα Ιςπανικϊν και Αραβικϊν ιχων και λζξεων, δίνοντασ άλλθ πνοι ςτθν εκπαιδευτικι διαδικαςία. Ζνα «ταξίδι ςτθν Ικάκθ», που αρχίηει το φκινόπωρο του 2014, για να τελειϊςει, τυπικά μόνον, το κζροσ του 2018, παρζχοντάσ μασ ουςιαςτικά πλοφςιο πολιτιςτικό υλικό, κακϊσ λζει ο ποιθτισ «ςεντζφια και κοράλλια, κεχριμπάρια κ’ ζβενουσ, και ηδονικά μυρωδικά κάθε λογήσ» Ζχοντασ, λοιπόν, ςτα χζρια μασ ςε αφκονία «πθλό» ετερογενϊν πολιτιςμϊν, πλάςαμε «μνθμεία – αποτυπϊματα» πολιτιςμικοφ ςυγχρωτιςμοφ, ανκεκτικά ςτο πζραςμα του χρόνου. Με τον αμοιβαίο εμπλουτιςμό μζςω τθσ ανταλλαγισ γνϊςεων και το “success story” των ςυμμετεχόντων φοιτθτϊν άλλοι πραγματοποίθςαν ζρευνα, άλλοι απόκτθςαν μεταπτυχιακοφσ τίτλουσ και άλλοι αναβάπτιςαν τισ γνϊςεισ και τισ δεξιότθτζσ τουσ ςε προπτυχιακό επίπεδο - επιτεφχκθκε θ ϊςμωςθ των πολιτιςμϊν. Μασ δόκθκε θ ευκαιρία να ςυςτιςουμε ςτουσ εταίρουσ μασ τον ελλθνικό πολιτιςμό, να τουσ καταςτιςουμε κοινωνοφσ και ςτθ ςυνζχεια, με τθν επιςτροφι τουσ, πρεςβευτζσ του πολιτιςμοφ μασ ςτισ προγονικζσ τουσ εςτίεσ. Ταυτόχρονα ιρκαμε κι εμείσ ςε επαφι με τουσ πολιτιςμοφσ των εταίρων μασ, τουσ οποίουσ κοινωνιςαμε άμεςα ςτθν κοινότθτα του ΑΤΕΙ-Θ και ςε όλθ τθν πόλθ τθσ Θεςςαλονίκθσ με τθ διδαςκαλία τθσ Αραβικισ και Ιςπανικισ γλϊςςασ τόςο ςτουσ φοιτθτζσ του ΑΤΕΙ-Θ, όςο και ςτουσ δθμότεσ τθσ πόλθσ, με τθν αμζριςτθ βοικεια του Διμου Θεςςαλονίκθσ και προςωπικά του Διμαρχου, κ. Μπουτάρθ Γιάννθ.

Πολιτιςμόσ όμωσ δεν είναι μόνον θ γλϊςςα. Μία από τισ εκφάνςεισ του πολιτιςμοφ είναι και θ γεφςθ. Η ενκουςιϊδθσ ςυμμετοχι των φοιτθτϊν του προγράμματοσ ςτθ διεκνι τουριςτικι ζκκεςθ PHILOXENIA μασ ζδωςε τθ δυνατότθτα μζςω ενόσ γευςιγνωςτικοφ «ταξιδιοφ» να γνωρίςουμε τα παραδοςιακά εδζςματα των μακρινϊν χωρϊν τουσ. Αλλά θ υπόςταςθ του ανκρϊπου δεν ςυνίςταται μόνον από γνϊςεισ και εμπειρίεσ. Υπάρχει και θ ψυχι και οι ςυμμετζχοντεσ ςτο πρόγραμμα φοιτθτζσ κατζκεςαν το πλεόναςμα τθσ ψυχισ τουσ προςφζροντασ εκελοντικι εργαςία, όπωσ μεταφραςτικι υποςτιριξθ ςτον ΟΗΕ και ςτον Ερυκρό Σταυρό για τθν υποδοχι των προςφφγων. Μια κοινότθτα ανκρϊπων διαφορετικϊν μεταξφ τουσ μα τόςο ομοιογενισ ςτο πνεφμα τθσ. Εικόνεσ, εμπειρίεσ, γνϊςεισ, φόβοι, ελπίδεσ, χαρά και προβλθματιςμοί είναι όλα αυτά που βίωςαν οι φοιτθτζσ και «πλοφςιοι με όςα κζρδιςαν ςτο δρόμο, ήδη κατάλαβαν οι Ιθάκεσ τι ςημαίνουν». Όλα αυτά δεν είναι απλά οι ςυμβολιςμοί ενόσ ποιιματοσ, είναι ζνα «ταξίδι», μια μοναδικι εμπειρία, που ςπάνια θ ηωι ςου δίνει τθν ευκαιρία να αξιωκείσ τθν αφι των διαςτάςεϊν τθσ. Ταξίδι ςτθν Ικάκθ, λοιπόν, ιταν το πρόγραμμα αυτό, τόςο για τουσ εταίρουσ μασ, όςο και για εμάσ εδϊ ςτο ΑΤΕΙ-Θ και για τθν ομάδα υποςτιριξθσ του προγράμματοσ. Ζνα ταξίδι με τουσ οφριουσ ανζμουσ του, αλλά και τισ τρικυμίεσ και τισ φουρτοφνεσ του, που όμωσ το πλιρωμα του καραβιοφ και ο καπετάνιοσ αποδείχκθκαν δυνατοί, γιατί «τουσ Λαιςτρυγόνασ και τουσ Κφκλωπασ, τον άγριο Ποςειδϊνα» δεν τουσ «κουβανοφςαν μεσ ςτθν ψυχι τουσ», «η ψυχή τουσ δεν τουσ ζςτηνε μπροςτά τουσ», επειδι ιταν ψυχι ζμπλεθ φανταςίασ, οράματοσ, δθμιουργικότθτασ και επιμονισ, που ενζπνεε όλθ τθν ομάδα των ςυνεργατϊν. Εμπνευςμζνθ θ κακοδιγθςθ του Δρ. Τηιϊνα Παναγιϊτθ. Του εκφράηουμε τισ κερμζσ ευχαριςτίεσ μασ, επειδι ανταποκρινόταν ςτισ δράςεισ του προγράμματοσ με ενκουςιαςμό μικροφ παιδιοφ, που μεταλαμπαδευόταν ςε όλουσ τουσ ςυνεργάτεσ τθσ ομάδασ, οι οποίοι με δθμιουργικό κζφι υλοποιοφςαν τθν «ζμπνευςθ τθσ ςτιγμισ», όπωσ θ φιλόλογοσ τθσ Δευτεροβάκμιασ, Προκοπίου Κατερίνα, που μζςα από τθ ηεςτι ατμόςφαιρα ενόσ γεφματοσ με τουσ φοιτθτζσ, οδθγικθκε ςτθν απόφαςθ να ςυμμετζχει εκελοντικά για τρία χρόνια ςτο Πρόγραμμα, διδάςκοντασ ελλθνικι γλϊςςα και χτίηοντασ μζςα από τα μακιματα πολιτιςτικζσ γζφυρεσ μεταξφ των ςυμμετεχόντων φοιτθτϊν. Το Πρόγραμμα μασ «ζδωςε το ωραίο ταξίδι» «κι ζτςι ςοφοί που γίναμε με τόςη πείρα ήδη το καταλάβαμε οι Ιθάκεσ τι ςημαίνουν». Το δικό μασ ταξίδι ςτθν Ικάκθ είναι ζνα ποίθμα, του οποίου ο επίλογοσ δε κα γραφεί ποτζ … ςτθν καρδιά και ςτθν ψυχι όλων μασ.

… to ITHAKA (an allegory, based on the poem by C. Cavafy “ITHAKA”) In the year 2014, The Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki welcomed, with great pleasure, its participation in the ERASMUS MUNDUS MAYANET - ASSUR students exchange Program, from two completely different geographically parts of the horizon : Latin Central America countries and Syria. A program based on the proposal by L’ Aquila University, Italy, under the organization of an inspired Professor Dr. Anna Tozzi and her associates, an excellent team and a fabulous group of Universities across Europe, from Latin Central America to Syria. The idea had been launched, and the Alexander TEI, Thessaloniki tried to do its best to contribute and assist, in a spirit of true and unparalleled cooperation, concentrating on the unseen and unknown implications of the deed, transforming, in a spirit of friendly cooperation, a students exchange program to an educational and cultural exchange of knowledge and experience, highlighting, as the poet would say, "a variety of thoughtful adaptation actions".

The support, from the very beginning of the Program, by the current Dean of the Alexander TEI Dr. Panagiotis Tzionas, triggered a different approach to a rather typical process, leaving imagination, the inspiration for the originality, and the enthusiasm to fill the "canvas" of this fouryear painting, with “colors”, “senses”, and “perfumes” different, as the poet says, a multicultural mosaic, making it look like an "Ithaca", a destination in the reality of the life of the students involved.

Our University hosted flags and colors from the Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Colombia, Syria, with unprecedented Spanish and Arabic sounds and senses, giving another impetus to the typical educational process of a students exchange program. Τhus, a trip to Ithaca has begun in 2014, mentioned to end in summer 2018 typically only, as the voyage of the spiritual and cultural wondering will go on for life, as the poet says “mother of pearl and coral, amber and ebony, sensual perfumes of all kinds…”

Thus, with an abundance of "clay" of such heterogeneous cultures in our hands, we created a “cultural scent", an osmosis among different civilizations, resistant to the passage of time : through a mutual win-win exchange of knowledge and experience our beneficiaries carried out research, others acquired postgraduate degrees or enhanced knowledge and improved skills at undergraduate level memorable “success story” that absolutely justified the scope and the targets of the ERAMSUS MUNDUS Program as a whole. We introduced and communicated to our partners the Greek civilization, while at the same time we, ourselves, came in contact with their cultures, not only inside the narrow academic boundaries, but also through a commonly shared community exchange with the residents of the city of Thessaloniki, teaching Arabic and Spanish language lessons to the citizens of Thessaloniki, with the support and assistance of the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the Mayor himself, Mr Yannis Boutaris.

Nevertheless, culture is not only language: culinary tastes and national food preparation, with great enthusiasm and participation of the Program’s beneficiaries at the PHILOXENIA International Tourism Fair, has enabled us to get acquainted, through a gastronomic "trip", with the traditional dishes of their distant countries. Participation in local athletics, the Great Alexander Marathon of 5

Thessaloniki, with distinguished medals and honors for our participants, artistic events in music and dancing, were only some of the parallel activities that inspired us all.

However, human existence is not only knowledge and experience, there is also a humanitarian approach in every human soul : our participants have deposited the surplus of their souls, participating in organizations for humanitarian relief, offering volunteer work in various United Nations Refugee Commission and Services and Red Cross agencies, providing translation support, hospital administrative and interpreter contribution, volunteering in refugee welcoming spots in the local hospitals of Thessaloniki etc.

A community of people so different from each other, but at the same time so homogenous in its spirit. Images, attitudes, knowledge, fears, hopes, joy, were only some of their “profit”, or as the poet says : “wise as you will have become, so full of experience, you will now have understood what Ithaca meant to you”….

All this is not just the symbolism of a poem, it is a "journey to Ithaca", a unique experience for both our partners and for us, here, at the Alexander TEI, Thessaloniki, and for the whole team, an experience where you are rarely given the opportunity to touch its real dimensions. A trip with fair winds, but also with its storms and hurricanes, where the crew and the captain proved to be strong, because “Laistrygonians, Cyclops, wild Poseidon you won’t encounter them unless you bring them along inside your soul, unless your soul sets them up in front of you.” since the strong soul of all the participants was full of imagination, visions, creativity and persistence; an inspiration for all…

Inspired was the leading by Dr. Panagiotis Tzionas. We express our sincere thanks for his immediate responding to all needs, with the enthusiasm of a child; enthusiasm spreading all over the team and the partners urging to catch the "inspiration of the moment"; gratitude to the Professor of Secondary Education Mrs. Katerina Prokopiou, who in a hospitable and warm atmosphere of a meal with the students, volunteered to offer her knowledge and skill in teaching Greek Language lessons for three years to the program’s beneficiaries, thus becoming voluntarily a member in the Program, and creating cultural bridges among the participants…

The program "gave us the marvelous trip" , and so, “wise men as we became, with so much experience, we have now understood what Ithaca meant for us" ERASMUS MUNDUS “gave us the marvelous trip”, but our journey to Ithaca is a poem whose epilogue will never be written ... it will continue sailing in the hearts and souls of all of us…

... a ITHACA (una alegoría, basada en el poema de K. Kavafis "En el camino hacia ITHACA") En el año 2014, el Instituto Tecnológico Educativo Alejandro de Tesalónica bienvenida, con gran placer, su participación en el ERASMUS MUNDUS MAYANET - Programa de intercambio de estudiantes Assur, a partir de dos partes completamente diferentes geográficamente del horizonte: los países de América Latina y Central de Siria. Un programa basado en la propuesta de la Universidad L 'Aquila, Italia, bajo la égida de un inspirado Profesor Dr. Anna Tozzi y sus asociados, un excelente equipo y un fabuloso grupo de universidades de toda Europa, desde Latinoamérica hasta Siria.

Sin embargo, la existencia humana es no sólo el conocimiento y la experiencia, también hay un enfoque humanitario en cada alma humana: nuestros participantes han depositado el excedente de sus almas, participando en organizaciones de ayuda humanitaria, ofreciendo trabajo voluntario en Comisión y Refugiados varias de las Naciones Unidas y agencias de la Cruz Roja, que brindan apoyo de traducción, contribuciones administrativas y de intérpretes del hospital, se ofrecen como voluntarios para dar la bienvenida a lugares de bienvenida en los hospitales locales de Salónica, etc.

Una comunidad de personas tan diferentes entre sí, pero al mismo tiempo tan homogénea en su espíritu. ‫وبعد إطالق الفكرة ‪ ،‬حاول معهد ألكساندر للتكنولوجٌا فً سالونٌكً أن ٌبذل لصارى جهده للمساهمة والمساعدة‬ ‫بروح من التعاون الحمٌمً الذي ال نظٌر له مع التركٌز على النتائج الملموسة وغٌر الملوسة لهذه المشاركة ‪،‬‬ ‫وتحوٌلها ‪ ،‬بروح من التعاون الودي لبرنامج تبادل تعلٌمً وثمافً للمعرفة والخبرة للطالب ‪ ،‬وكما ٌمول الشاعر ‪،‬‬ ‫"مجموعة متنوعة من إجراءات التكٌف المدروسة"‪.‬‬

‫الدعم ‪ ،‬منذ بداٌة البرنامج ‪ ،‬من لبل عمٌد معهد ألكساندر للتكنولوجٌا الحالً الدكتور باناجٌوتٌس تزيىنش‪ ،‬أثار‬ ‫نهج مختلف لعملٌة نموذجٌة إلى حد ما ‪ ،‬وترن الخٌال ‪ ،‬واإللهام لألصالة ‪ ،‬والحماس لملء " "هذه اللوحة ذات‬ ‫األربع سنوات ‪ ،‬مع" األلوان "‪ "،‬الحواس "‪ ،‬و" العطور "مختلفة ‪ ،‬كما ٌمول الشاعر ‪ ،‬فسٌفساء متعددة الثمافات ‪،‬‬ ‫مما ٌجعلها تبدو وكأنها" إٌثاكا "‪ ،‬وجهة فً والع الحٌاة من الطالب المشاركٌن‪ .‬استضافت جامعتنا األعالم‬ ‫واأللوان من هندوراس ونٌكاراغوا والسلفادور وكولومبٌا وسورٌا ‪ ،‬مع أصوات وحواس غٌر مسبولة باللغة‬ ‫اإلسبانٌة والعربٌة ‪ ،‬مما أعطى تجربة أخرى للعملٌة التعلٌمٌة النموذجٌة لبرنامج تبادل الطالب‪.‬‬

‫وهكذا بدأت رحلة إلى إٌثاكا فً عام ‪ ، 4102‬والتً استمرت حتى نهاٌة صٌف عام ‪ 4102‬ولكن رحلة العجائب‬ ‫الروحٌة والثمافٌة سوف تستمر مدى الحٌاة ‪ ،‬كما ٌمول الشاعر‬ ‫مصدر اللؤلؤ والمرجان والعنبر واألبنوس ‪"،‬‬ ‫والعطور بجمٌع أنواعها ‪" ...‬‬

‫وهكذا ‪ ،‬بوجود وفرة من "الطٌن" لهذه الثمافات غٌر المتجانسة فً أٌدٌنا ‪ ،‬أنشأنا "رائحة ثمافٌة" ‪ ،‬والتناضح بٌن‬ ‫الحضارات المختلفة ‪ ،‬ومماو ًما لمرور الزمن‪ :‬من خالل تبادل المعرفة والمنفعة حٌث أجرى المستفٌدون من‬ ‫البرنامج أبحاثًا ‪ ،‬وحصل آخرون على شهادات دراسات علٌا أو معرفة محسنة ومهارات محسنة على المستوى‬ ‫الجامعً "لصة نجاح" ال تنسى تبرر تماما ً نطاق وأهداف البرنامج ككل حٌث لدمنا وعرفنا المشاركٌن بالحضارة‬ ‫الٌونانٌة ‪ ،‬بٌنما كنا فً ذات الولت على اتصال مع ثمافاتهم ‪ ،‬فٌه ‪ ،‬نحن أنفسنا لٌس فمط داخل الحدود األكادٌمٌة‬ ‫ضا من خالل تبادل مجتمعً مشترن مع سكان مدٌنة سالونٌن ‪ ،‬لتعلٌم دروس اللغة العربٌة‬ ‫الضٌمة ‪ ،‬ولكن أٌ ً‬ ‫واإلسبانٌة إلى مواطنً سالونٌن ‪ ،‬بدعم ومساعدة من بلدٌة سالونٌن والعمدة نفسه ‪ ،‬السٌد ٌانٌس بوتارٌس‪.‬‬

‫ومع ذلن ‪ ،‬فإن الثمافة لٌست فمط لغة وإنما هً أذواق الطهً وإعداد الطعام الوطنً حٌث شارن بحماس‬ ‫المستفٌدٌن من البرنامج فً معرض فٌلوكسٌنا للسٌاحة الدولً الذي مكنتنا من التعرف من خالل "رحلة" تذوق‬ ‫أطباق الطعام التملٌدٌة الخاصة بهذه الدول ومن خالل المشاركة فً ألعاب الموى المحلٌة وماراثون الكسندر الكبٌر‬ ‫فً سالونٌن مع مٌدالٌات ممٌزة وأوسمة شرف لمشاركٌنا واألحداث الفنٌة فً الموسٌمى والرلص ‪ ،‬والتً تعد‬ ‫بعض األنشطة التً ألهمتنا جمٌعًا‪.‬‬

‫ضا نهج إنسانً فً كل روح بشرٌة‪ :‬فمد‬ ‫ومع ذلن ‪ ،‬فإن الوجود البشري لٌس فمط معرفة وخبرة ‪ ،‬بل هنان أٌ ً‬ ‫أودع مشاركوننا فائض أرواحهم ‪ ،‬فً المشاركة فً منظمات اإلغاثة اإلنسانٌة ‪ ،‬والعمل التطوعً فً مختلف‬ ‫لجان وخدمات األمم المتحدة لالجئٌن‪ .‬ووكاالت الصلٌب األحمر ‪ ،‬التً تمدم دع ًما للترجمة ‪ ،‬ومساهمة المستشفٌات‬ ‫اإلدارٌة والمترجمٌن الفورٌ​ٌن ‪ ،‬والتطوع فً أماكن الترحٌب لالجئٌن فً المستشفٌات المحلٌة فً سالونٌن إلخ‪.‬‬

‫مجتمع من الناس مختلفٌن عن بعضهم البعض ولكن فً نفس الولت متجانس فً روحه‪ .‬كانت الصور والموالف‬ ‫والمعرفة والمخاوف واآلمال والفرح مجرد ثمرة أو كما ٌمول الشاعر‪:‬‬ ‫الحكمة كما كنت لد أصبحت ‪ ،‬ملٌئة بالخبرة ‪"،‬‬

Keep Ithaka always in your mind.

Arriving there is what you are destined for.

But do not hurry the journey at all.

Better if it lasts for years, so you are old by the time you reach the island, wealthy with all you have gained on the way, not expecting Ithaka to make you rich.

Ithaka gave you the marvelous journey.

Without her you would not have set out.

She has nothing left to give you now.

And if you find her poor, Ithaka won’t have fooled you.

Wise as you will have become, so full of experience, you will have understood by then what these Ithakas mean.
