A rare moment of ease
In 2020, pandemic restrictions created a window to connection. Suddenly, I could make changes to accommodate myself.
The walls of my room gave space for privacy, for fidgeting, and for resting while attending online class and work. Sadly, this access didn’t stick around after lockdowns ended.
Isolation together, now alone
Resting and ambition oscillate within me.
First confined by restrictions, now by lack of access.
I am forced to choose between the challenges of community, and the boredom of isolation.
Finding a path to community
Long abandoned by the return to in-person work and activities, I searched for new communities.
I found one amongst my disabled peers.
Together, we inch closer to the accessible spaces that 2020 revealed as possibilities.
