Dense Research Network in Munich and Worldwide We are at the center of an incredible research network made up of academic departments and interdisciplinary research facilities across TUM, major research institutions on Campus Garching and in Munich, and other top universities and institutions across Germany and the globe.

TUM’s market-oriented approach fosters a supportive environment for innovation, which has led to the setup of six TUM Corporate Research Centers. These centers strategically join the know-how of different departments to carry out cutting-edge work in highly specialized interdisciplinary areas and enter into cooperation with industry for application-driven research.
