Site Plan & Neighbourhood Analysis
PROBLEM
Entrepreneurs and professionals in the startup world face significant stress due to the constant demands of innovation, decision-making, and achieving success under pressure. Burnout, anxiety, and other stress-related challenges are common, yet current wellness spaces fail to address their specific needs. This gap highlights the necessity for environments tailored to the demanding nature of their roles.
AUDIENCE
The audience includes entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and professionals working in highpressure roles within the startup ecosystem. These individuals often face long work hours, intense decision-making, and constant innovation demands. Their lifestyle is characterized by a need for focus, creativity, and resilience, with limited opportunities for rest and self-care.
RESEARCH
Research shows that over 70% of entrepreneurs report stress-related challenges, affecting their mental clarity and productivity. Natural environments and biophilic elements are shown to reduce stress and enhance focus. Surveys emphasize the need for spaces that support mindfulness, physical wellness, and social interaction. Entrepreneurs particularly value environments that balance quiet reflection areas with spaces for meaningful connection.
SITE ANALYSIS
The site is centrally located in downtown Palo Alto, surrounded by a mix of startups, venture capital offices, and coworking spaces, making it convenient for professionals in the startup ecosystem. Nearby parks and greenery provide an additional sense of tranquility and connection to nature, complementing the center’s wellnessfocused design.

04 MURAL
The design concept for the workspaces of Facthum and DCH is inspired by the union between nature and human growth, particularly in talent development. This concept represents how the work environment can influence and support the flourishing of individual skills and abilities, similarly to how a well-maintained natural environment allows plants to grow and thrive.
The design of the mural is intended to reflect Facthum’s philosophy, capturing the essence of the synergy between human development and natural progress. The human figures emerging among the vegetation symbolize the growth and development of talent in harmony with nature’s principles. It’s a visual metaphor for the company’s commitment to innovation and well-being in the workplace. The design incorporates the logos of Facthum and DCH in the form of a flower.
