The Canadian Decorators’ Association (“CDECA”) is a professional not-for-profit Association representing both Student and Accredited decorators and designers, and Affiliate businesses across Canada. Our goal is to foster the growth of the decorating industry in Canada; provide advocacy respecting policy matters; promote a positive image of the industry through proactive activities and events; and offer value to Members through upgrading of skills and knowledge. CDECA is the most influential Association representing decorators in Canada.

Dear Members, Yes, CDECA™’s 2014 Annual General Meeting is just around the corner. Please join us on April 14th as we celebrate another year of accomplishments as well as CDECA™’s 20th anniversary! Glen Peloso, Principal of Peloso Alexander Interiors, Inc. will be our keynote speaker. We will also be celebrating the winners of the 2014 CDECA™ Design and Decorating Competition. So, please come out and join us at the Estates of Sunnybrook, in Toronto, Ontario.

This year is CDECA’s 20th Anniversary. As the organization celebrates a
major milestone let’s look back at CDECA’s major accomplishments.
So who or what is CDECA? CDECA is Canada’s largest not-for-profit professional Association representing both Student and Accredited interior decorators and interior designers, and Affiliate businesses across Canada. CDECA is comprised of a National Board of Directors, four local Chapters, a National office, and over 500 members across Canada. CDECA’s strength as an organization comes from it’s volunteers and members. Please join us in celebrating twenty years of success and the many years of hard work volunteers have contributed to the organization.
CDECA has over 500 members across Canada, making it the largest association for Interior Decorators.

CDECA Toronto Celebrated its One Year Anniversary in Style with Kimberley Seldon! The CDECA Toronto Chapter capped off its first year with an exciting meeting and event featuring Canadian design star Kimberley Seldon! The meeting was generously hosted by Ceragres Tile Group at the company’s beautiful Castlefield design district showroom and was one of the best attended events all year.
Members mingled and networked over a delicious breakfast buffet before Glen Brewer, Vice President of Ceragres, opened the meeting, introduced showroom staff and spoke about the company’s decorating industry services. The floor was then turned over to our keynote speaker, Kimberley Seldon, who shared her secrets for business success with much detail and humour! Members gathered afterwards to have Kimberley’s most recent book personally signed, and to enrol in her Business of Design course. Some additional CDECA affiliates were also on hand post meeting to discuss their products and services with members. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the chapter’s first anniversary!
