Museum of Emotions
Design V | Fall 2023 | Professor Bravo
Partner: Nicole Mancera
In this project, the two emotions being represented are hope and melancholy. A series of undulating panels are used throughout the space to serve as continuity between the emotions, while a gradient of light and color serve as atmospheric qualities that distinguish them. Visitors are encouraged to explore the range of emotions in between hope and melancholy through various sensory spaces.

In the final visual communications project various techniques and representations of documenting and analyzing ornament were explored. Then the ornament was used in a reinterpretation of an existing piece of architecture. The floral shapes and roundness of the ornament were primary sources of inspiration for the new courtyard window.

Micro-hotel
Design III | Fall 2022 | Professor Gaskins
Partner: Cindy Ly
This micro-hotel is located at 1130 W. 6th street in Austin, Tx. The main objective of the design is to push the boundaries of privacy and spark curiosity. By implementing vertical and horizontal adjacencies through the use of screens, windows, and glass tubes along with prioritizing private space over public space, the hotel is one in which people can enjoy a unique individualized experience.

Informal Retail
Design IV | Spring 2023 | Professor Rodriguez
In this retail space, nature is used as inspiration for the overall design as it is a universal familiarity everyone can relate to. People of all ages and backgrounds are welcomed. Hence, the space incorporates organic forms with a mix of natural and man-made materials to represent the unity of nature and man.
