To design a School/Cultural Centre for Music 02and Arts particularly responding to Indian 03 Classical style of music at the proposed land by Gwalior Municipal Corporation. The composition of a musical piece and the structure of a building follow the same design principles. The 01 Site is located on the way to Behat (birth place of Tansen) from Gwalior, connecting historic city to the realm of music. A land of 2.89 acres has been proposed to understand the esteem art in a very cheerful way, as it is surrounded by the most fertile land, streams, trees and plants all around, making the place more convenient for an individual to disappear in his/her own art.

The objective here was to design a residential neighbhorhood for the smart city Kochi keeping in mind the context for which it has to be designed with the sustainaibilty and economic parameters.The theme must focus on the logical scheme evolved with the outside and inside space with the mother nature.The emphasis was on public open spaces,overall circulation and other public facilities for sustainable development.The housing has to be designed in the Smart way through effective designed process.

The develpopment of the housing starts at individual unit level which then is distrubuted to module further to cluster level .Each indivdual housing unit is designed in order to cater to the user needs as well as the need of the climate of the area which is hot and humid,as a house is the most important essence of the habitat so rooms are placed in such a way that the rooms which need extenisve sunlight like living rooms have been placed at front and further moderate sunlight areas like bedrooms have been placed at middle and simultaneously cross ventialtion is also kept inmind with placement of each room block they have been placed in such a way that each room recieves adeuate light and wind

The concept for the smart housing at Kochi is derived taking into direct consideration the climatic conditions and the built environment which surrounds the site.Sunlight plays a very important role in housing in Indian context the sun is a solution to many of household problems

The proposes to mix the most dominant typologies of the existing urban mass in Kochi city,blending courtyard buildings, row houses and towers all in one building. Each corner of the building peaks at various heights: a stepped roofscape creates large private terraces for outdoor activities atdifferent levels. As an extension of the elevated outdoor space a continuous balcony wraps aroundthe building – only to be punctuated by smaller balconies inside the courtyard that offer ampleoutdoor space for all residential units.

The analysis done helped in formation of window design for the house for optimal thermal comfort and glare free environment whereas Energy + helped in determining optimal operative temperature(Temperature sensed by occupants) of various zone according to the radiation of materials and indoor etc thus helping in better design solutions Like jaali or openings for eg: major openings needed in the dinning area hence the design proposed.

The technical fest of the college was themed “Tatva�(Elements) and considering the theme the installation was thus produced keeping in mind the lack of present social and sitting spaces for students.Even Due to lack of budget and resources the project was highly appreciated by the jury and students The Architecture Department of our college has a strength of approx 250 students and yet there are no provisions of any informal or formal sitting space for the students expect the stairs .Though architecture is all about dialouges ,and interactions so this was kind of restricting students to open up with each other or feel relaxed from the studious working hours.

A short defination was produced using Grasshopper (a plugin for rhino) and then profile curves were baked in and arranged using software ,Due to lack of resources like CNC machine ,Profiles curves were pasted on MDF board and with a jigsaw machine they were cut manually and then using nails and fevicol fixed to the main members in order to make the support for sitting .After that 2mm thk beads were pasted on the structural members to form the sitting space needed.

The proposal for the new Barefoot School of Arts & Craft Pavilion is a celebration of Goa as a cultural capital and a reflection of the state’s unique picturesque topography and location on the west coast flanking the Arabian Sea. The proposal humbly explores design at the intersection of art and architecture honouring a multi-disciplinary approach and thereby reinterpreting the program and iconography within a contemporary context.The outcome is a sculptural intervention, which serves as a flexible workshop space, performance space, a cultural hub and a new icon for the state.The Pavilion consists of indoor, outdoor and transitional public spaces, embedded into the landscape. The genesis of the pavilion design is based on “z axis” vectors operating on the corner and midpoint vertices of a square grid acting in equilibrium to create a pavilion design that celebrates both indoor and outdoor experiences for learning, information dissemination and exhibition / event spaces.

The design of the “protostar” pavilion is inspired by the philosophy of the New E-Class Mercedes Benz, undoubtedly a “Master piece of Intelligence”. The iconic Mercedes Benz logo consists of a simple depiction of a three-pointed star that represents its domination of land, sea, and air. The protostar pavilion design celebrates the evolution of Mercedes Benz across decades of innovation and cutting edge technology in space and time.

The Protostar pavilion is in its constant state of metamorphosis and is presented in a specific instance frozen in time. The design process itself challenges the conventional thinking of materials and their properties. The process embraces high-end digital design and fabrication tools from the concept design to prototyping and fabrication stage C

The pavilion reinterprets Felix Candela’s works with complementary hypar shells, which are both highly structural and sculptural. As a concept contrasting the originals, the optimal structural logic was partially broken by linking the three parts in the middles of their surfaces, not at the edges.

The shape was modeled and optimized as a shell, using multi-objective evolutionary algorithms as an aid for decision making.

This Studio involved designing design ideas for transit shelters on site, for construction workers and their families, where the quality of life is dignified. These shelters on site should be beneficial to the builder as well.

Thus, they need to be not only environmentally sustainable but also economically sustainableThe design of the shelter itself needs to be green and sustainable. The services like water and electricity had to be worked out. The design of self-sufficient shelters with renewable energy resources. The investment on the shelter will have to come as close to zero as possible and hence the design should .be low-cost and efficient to begin with. Once the project is completed, it should be easy to dismantle the transit shelter and the materials should lend themeselves to reuse and recycle – maybe for the next project that the builder might undertake.

Portability The plan offers exibility to the construction workers by changing the sizes of room according to their family size and their need ,these shelters can accomodate members ranging from 1 to 10 members of a family per shelter

The whole design concept somehows respect the needs of the workers in every way possible and provide them viable solution to live with their family whatever may be the size in a single place which they can call their home.The design responds and behave not only according to nature but also according to the users need and his requirements.

The whole structure provides an opportunity to fold up just like an umbrella ,althought there are two options available for this ,the ďŹ rst in which after removing the earth bound joint ,the structure can be folded up easily and quickly,the latter folding requires less space but requires more time for removing the bracing and the woven mats and the big petals can further be folded together.

he proposal for the Warming Huts Pavilion is juts not a celebration of winter coming in the trails but also a cultural message to the people about the current state of our mother Earth. The Melting Huts acts a reection of our gigantic glaciers with unique picturesque topography melting ,an indication to the humanity that its time to awake now.

The proposal humbly explores design at the intersection of art ,environment and architecture honouring a multi-disciplinary approach and thereby reinterpreting the program and iconography within a contemporary context. The outcome is a sculptural intervention, which serves as a exible recreational space, performance space, a cultural hub and a new icon for the re intrepreting the Global warming effect happening all ober the world. The Hut consists of indoor, outdoor and transitional public spaces, embedded into the landscape.

The challenge of the competition was to design and install a temporary structure on a street

to transform the street environment to a form of public space and to re-envision and re-engage the street as a public space. The competition invites ideas to transform the street as a public space through an infrastructure intervention, a seating-space. The challenge is to design a public seating that can engage and transform the dynamics on the street, triggering and sustaining temporary (short) social and cultural transactions.

THE BENCH will be installed on street edges during the 2017 WINNIPEG DESIGN FESTIVAL, at predesignated areas of the festival grounds Ease of use and access is important consideration to facilitate instant, ongoing and changing street dynamics. General street safety including trac related issues and legibility of its physical presence are important considerations in the design.
