Featured This Month Black History Month Black History Month occurs every February as a way to acknowledge the important people and events in the history of the African diaspora. We’ll have several programs through throughout February honoring Black History month. You’ll also find book lists, featured items, and more in our branches and on our website.

The Murder of Emmett Till In 1955, Emmett Till was brutally murdered after a white woman claimed he whistled at her. Professor Dave Tell will use the various memorials to him to explore the competing narratives of exactly what happened the night of the murder. West, 6:30 pm, Monday, February 4
