Dear Chiefs Fans, Family, and Friends,

ESPN’s documentary ‘The Kingdom’ captures what so many of us already know – that Kansas City is a special place, with a vibrant community, a dynamic history, and a deep connection to its values and its roots. As a team, we’re proud to represent Kansas City on the national and international stage, and we know that our success would not be possible without the support of Chiefs Kingdom.

The Hunt Family Foundation is dedicated to honoring Lamar Hunt’s legacy of community service, prioritizing the pillars listed below. Since inception, the Hunt Family Foundation has championed public service, donated millions of dollars, and created countless opportunities in the Kansas City area.

CHIEFS LEGACY & LEAGUE INITIATIVES FAMILIES IN CRISIS

Our relationship with Kansas City dates back more than 60 years, since my father moved the Chiefs here in 1963. He knew that bringing his team here meant that he was placing a bet on the future of this humble Midwestern town, and that the success of the Chiefs was inextricably tied to the success of Kansas City as a whole.

That’s why service to our community is central to our mission.

The Chiefs and the Hunt Family Foundation are proud to be a part of this community. It is at the core of all we do. Over the last few decades, we have continually expanded the ways we engage with our fans, empower neighborhood leaders, and bring people together around so many great causes throughout our city, state, and region.

Thank you for your support of these efforts over the years, and for continuing to make this community – and Chiefs Kingdom – so special.

For 40 years, the Chiefs first home preseason game has been the Chiefs Charity Game, which is dedicated to bringing together the team, partners, and fans to support the Kansas City community. This year’s game benefited Jackson County CASA, whose mission is to recruit, train, and support Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteers to advocate for the best interests of children in the Jackson County Family Court system until they have a safe and permanent home.

“Being the beneficiary of the Chiefs Charity Game has been transformative. Thanks to the generosity of the Hunt Family and the Chiefs, we have the unique opportunity to share our need for more volunteers to serve as advocates for children in foster care with Chiefs Kingdom. The support is making a difference and is greatly appreciated!”
