KANINO DOG WALKING SERVICE AGREEMENT GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

PERSONAL EMERGENCY OR ILLNESS

This contract outlines that KANINO, inclusive of it’s employees and contractors, are authorized to care for the client’s dog(s) as outlined in this contract. The client authorizes this signed contract to be valid approval for future services of any purpose provided by this contract, permits KANINO to accept telephone or e-mail reservations for services and to enter the client’s property and home as requested, and without any additional signed contracts or written authorization. The client understands that this contract does not include any formal training.

Terms and Conditions are subject to change.

In the event of personal emergencies or illnesses, KANINO will make every attempt to notify the client as promptly as possible and a reasonable effort will be made to find a suitable replacement.

EQUIPMENT The client agrees to provide KANINO with, or agrees to the use of the following equipment: Regular, Training, or Martingale collars, Body Harnesses, and/or similar equipment. KANINO reserves the right to refuse using the following equipment: retractable leashes, choke chains, prong collars, shock collars, and/or similar aversive equipment or techniques.

PAYMENT AND RATES Fees for products and services are posted on the website and are subject to change at any time with a minimum of one month’s advance notice in writing.

All regular fees are listed with HST included.

Invoices will be monthly, and are sent via email on the last day of the preceding month.

Payments are due within the first 3 days of the month. Penalty fees or service cancelation may occur.

For example: Invoice for services rendered during the month of October, would be emailed on Friday October 31st. Payment is expected by Monday November 3rd.

PAYMENT METHODS Payments can be made by e-transfer, or personal cheque.

NSF fees will be charged back to the client.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY KANINO may shorten the time outside at their own discretion. During the winter months, it is recommended that the client provides the appropriate apparel for their pet (coat, sweater, booties, etc...). In the best interest of both your dog(s) and KANINO, walks may not occur, be canceled, or cut short if: • the temperature is below -20C (depending on the dogs’ age/health/coat) • the temperature is above 35C (depending on the dog’s age/health/coat) • there is a thunderstorm or any other dangerous weather conditions.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE

KANINO is also authorized to seek medical care for the animal at it’s complete discretion in the event of an emergency.

The client hereby releases KANINO of any and all legal and financial liabilities related to the transportation, treatment and any and all other associated expenses. KANINO is authorized to approve any and all emergency medical treatment (excluding euthanasia) as recommended by a licensed veterinarian. Client agrees to reimburse KANINO for any and all expenses incurred in such a situation.

Please ensure you have filled out the veterinary release form.

INJURY In the rare event that the client’s dog(s) be involved in an attack with another dog or animal, or is injured through misadventure or accident, KANINO will administer first aid and/or arrange immediate transportation to the nearest emergency veterinary clinic. The client is responsible for any and all related costs above and beyond the General Liability Insurance. If an attack occurs, KANINO is responsible for reporting the occurrence as soon as possible to the relevant authorities and to the client, as well

as seeking medical care as per above. Veterinary Release form must be signed as well.

CANCELLATION POLICY A minimum of 48 hours notice is required for service cancellations.

Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in the client being charged at the full rate which will/would have been payable for the scheduled appointment.

KANINO reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time during the term of this agreement.

Should the client wish to terminate this contract, KANINO requires two weeks of regular paid service notice. If the client terminates this contract without notice, the client agrees to pay KANINO the equivalent of two weeks paid service in exchange for the return of the clients keys.

TRIAL PERIOD The first month of service is considered a trial period for every new dog. During this time, the walker will assess if the dog is the right fit for the pack and our methods. The best interest of the dog and the pack are always our first priority.

DOG WALKING TERMS & CONDITIONS HOUSE KEYS A copy of your house key is required prior to the first service. All keys are coded and do not have your name or address written on them.

GARAGE DOOR OPENER Garage Door openers (or code) will be accepted if that is the way you would prefer entry however, a physical key is required in case of power outage or malfunctioning equipment.

ALARM SYSTEM The client agrees to provide KANINO with the entry code for the alarm system, or to avoid setting the alarm system on the days when services are required. In the event that the alarm is triggered and the correct code is not provided, the client releases KANINO from any and all

liabilities.

PICK-UP AND DROP OFF TIMES Pickups start at 10am every day. Depending on the number of dogs per walk, travel distance, and traffic conditions, the time of arrival at the Park may change without previous notice.

We try our best to keep your dog(s) in the car as little as possible.

WAIVER / LIABILITY FORM The undersigned herby acknowledges to KANINO: That she/he agrees to hold KANINO harmless from and against any liability for injury or damages that may be incurred during a dog walk.

VETERINARY CARE RELEASE In the event that my dog takes ill, is injured through attack, accident or misadventure, I understand that KANINO may have to take my pet into veterinary care. If KANINO is unable to reach me, they may have to make decisions about my pets care in my absence.

I give permission to KANINO to approve emergency treatment for my pet up to a maximum of: $______________________________ I will assume full responsibility upon my return for payment and/or reimbursement for veterinary services rendered, including transportation to and from the site, up to the above stated amount.

If my own veterinary office is unavailable or too far from the incident site, I authorize KANINO to take my pet to another veterinary office for treatment.

I understand that KANINO cannot be held responsible for the results of the veterinary treatments.

This agreement is valid starting on the date below for any time during the agreement when KANINO cares for my pet(s).

MEDIA AND TESTIMONIAL RELEASE I hereby grant to KANINO, the right and permission, in respect to any photographs, video or statements which I share or write to use, reuse, publish and re-publish in the same in whole or in part, in conjunction with any printed matter in any and all media now or
