2011 Mission Bow Range: <<CRAZE The all-new Craze is a grand slam in bow design. No other bow on the market can brag over 40 lbs. of weight adjustment. This bow truly lives up to the hype of its name with parallel limbs, a highly-adjustable dual-cam system, a compact riser and a mere 3.6 pound of mass weight. Dig into the stats, and you’ll be even more impressed: up to 70 lbs of power, 80% let off and an ample 306 fps.

What can we say? October was very, very busy!

<<ENDEAVOR In the wilderness, it’s “no guts, no glory”. You have to rely on your instincts and high-performance equipment like the Endeavor. Its parallel limbs and machined, deflexed riser make it compact, light-weight and agile. This gives bow hunters added mobility for a broader shooting range. Perfect for the small confines of a tree-stand or a hunter on the go.

We saw the arrival of the new 2011 Mission bows, and recieved our first shipment of the gridlock designed KTech Stabilisers, which have proven to be very popular amongst the 3D and Bowhunting fraternity.

<<VENTURE Spot, stalk, creep, crawl…you’re ready to do whatever it takes to bring home the big game. The Venture is a bow that honors that mission. It’s strong, sleek, compact and loaded with added string suppression and a roller guard for extra-smooth stealth. This bow is packed with proven technology.

<<VOYAGER XT The new and improved Voyager XT promises the high-level performance you need to take you to the top of your hunting game. Its 34” ATA provides balance and accuracy, while the parallel limb design and single-cam system work to yield a smooth, quiet release with powerful speed. On top of all that, we’ve loaded this bow up with a roller guard, harmonic stabilizer and string suppressors for ultimate performance.

State Championships success for Lyndon

The Focus Grip helps minimize hand torque in the event of poor hand placement by keeping pressure concentrated in the center of the grip, unlike typical flat top grips that move pressure to the outside edge which increases hand torque.

October saw the Queensland State Championships competition at Mount Petrie Bowman in Brisbane. First up on Saturday 16th, Eagle Archery staff shooter Lyndon May got 2nd place in the Short Course Championships who missed gold by only 2 points.

The diagram shows the result of improper hand placement and how it impacts bow torque. As you can clearly see, the Focus Grip with the patent pending "Focus Ridge" barely moves off of center!

Sunday 17th was a double header with flight at 6am and clout at 10am. Lyndon took out first place by shooting 458 metres with his Nano Pro arrows and 59.5lb Monster 7 with a 10km/hr head wind. Not having shot clout for over 18 years, and then recurve, never compound, Lyndon wasn’t expecting too much but managed 3rd place after all. “I thank the guys at Eagle Archery for setting me up for these events, Lyn, Craig, Mike, Colin and Luke. Your great advice helped me, thank you”.

Eagle Archery Staff Shooter Best in SEQ! 17 year old Remi Haage, has won the South East Queensland Triple Crown Series for the male youth release 15-17 division, held at Hinterland Field Archers on October 23rd-24th. Remi competed across the South East over a 6month period and had to place in the top 3 just to qualify for the final shoot-out. Part of the grueling final matches was to have the competitors line up against each other in a head to head to shoot something different.. 3D rabbits at varied distances between 50 and 63 yards.

You can mount the Rear model at the rear stabilizer bushing. The Rear Mount StringTamer® will shrink as small as 4.25 inches and stretch to a full 8 1/8 inches. You should measure that span on your bow to ensure this model will fit appropriately.

Amongst some of Queenslands best archers, Remi scored a total of 31, 10 points clear of his nearest opponent Matthew Ryan. Notably, it was an all Carbon Express final, with Remi’s Nano XR’s doing the trick.

The Front Mount StringTamer® stretches out to 11 inches at its farthest reach, and just to be certain it will fit, you should measure the distance from the front stabilizer bushing to the string. The mounting block includes a quick-disconnect for attaching your stabilizer. For both models all the hardware you need is included in the package, as are instructions and string serving. The rod on either model may be shortened and the black cap replaced to give a finished look.

Well done Remi, keep it up!
