HUNTING TIPS AND HOW TO FIELD JUDGE A BUCK: • The antler point restriction regulations are designed to protect at least half of the yearling (1½ year old) buck population. When field judging a buck, if it has a small body and thin neck, it may be a yearling. • Bring binoculars and take the time to look at the antlers and count the points before you take a shot. • Wait for the deer to turn broadside, it will make it easier to count points.

REGISTRATION Bucks with more points than shown in the illustrations Antlers must remain attached to the carcass until after the are also legal to harvest. deer is registered.

THANK YOU Brian Ovsak, Kate Olson and their families wish to send a very heartfelt and appreciative thank you to everyone that was involved in our rescue, survival and overcoming injuries sustained on the night of July 24. Thank you to our quickthinking friends that were with us when the accident occurred, to the rescue and emergency teams, medical staff at FirstLight and North Memorial hospitals and all the churches, friends and family members praying for us. We also wish to thank everyone involved in our benefit, those helping to plan and get ready, the individuals and businesses that made donations and all of those that came to the benefit and showered us with their caring support and well wishes. The love and support of all, even complete strangers, has been so overwhelming to us and truly appreciated more than words will ever be able to express. Thank you so very, very much.

THANK YOU We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for all the expressions of sympathy, memorials, flowers, cards, visitors and prayers while we mourn the loss of Robert (Bob) Youngquist, loving husband to his wife, Donna, for almost 32 years, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. A special thank you to Rev. Doug Larson for the beautiful service, Dresser-Methven Funeral Home for their services, Grace Lutheran ladies for the delicious meal, Mary and Marie for the beautiful music which Bob would have loved and all the relatives and friends who attended. Bob would have talked and visited for hours. Also, thanks to the Hospice Program and St. Clare Living Community and their staffs for the love, kindness, compassion and dignity they bestowed upon Bob while he was a resident there. Thanks, love and God’s blessings. Donna, Dale, Pam, Dan and Sarah Kim, Debra, Kenneth and families Bill and Martha and family

I, Austin Carda, would like to thank all my supporters that bought popcorn and wreaths and also donated money and material for my Eagle Scout project. Also Novas Glass and everyone who helped work on my Eagle project as well as Joe Carda and JC Septic Systems. All of you are invited to Austin Carda’s and Tyler Brau’s Eagle Scout Banquet on Nov. 3. It is at 6:30 p.m. at the Ogilvie Civic Center. I really appreciate all the support you have given me. Thank you, Eagle Scout, Austin Carda THANK YOU The family of Harold Baum would like to thank everyone for their prayers and thoughts during our dad’s illness. It has been a long road, but the road stopped in heaven! We sincerely appreciate all the cards, food, memorials, visits and kind words over the past several days. Thank you to Deacon Pulkrabek for the nice service at the visitation. Thank you to Monsignor Suchan for the heartfelt funeral mass and for visiting dad in North Branch. We send many thanks to the American Legion, VFW and National Guard for the military honors at the cemetery. It was a great dedication to our dad. Thank you to Kolette Lind, Kathryn Olson and Kevin Cahill for the wonderful music. Much appreciation to Rick Herzog for accommodating us for the funeral lunch at the Pizza Pub. It was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. We appreciate the efforts of Swanson Funeral Home to organize things so quickly and efficiently for the funeral. Mr. Helseth did a very nice job with compassion and understanding to our needs. Over the past several months our dad was blessed with wonderful people that brought him treats, shared a story or two or just came to sit with him. We are also grateful to St. Croix Hospice for all you did to make my dad’s last few months meaningful. We would like to thank all the special people at Ecumen of North Branch that helped my dad and for those that put a smile on his face when they would walk into his room. We will miss dad and our lives will never be the same, but he is with our mom and that is very comforting to us all. Doug and Karen Anderson Phillip and JoAnn Baum Cheryl Gentile

Community Information Update

$

As we continue to address the issue of a Long-Range Facilities Plan, the Mora School Board is hosting two Community Information Meetings, to which the public is invited. The dates for these meetings are: Wednesday, November 7, and Tuesday, November 13, both beginning at 7 p.m. All residents of District 332 are encouraged to attend one of these meetings to hear an update on the process and to provide input. We appreciate the participation of any interested citizens. Please plan to join us at either one of the meetings. Both will be held in the high school auditorium. Any questions may be directed to Chris Hoyles at 320-679-6201, or e-mail: chris_hoyles@mora.k12. mn.us.
