Ogilvie Post 640 honors fallen heroes Memorial Day, first recognized as a federal holiday in 1971, continues to honor those men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Ogilvie Post 640 color guard visited St. Kathryn’s Church, Graceland Cemetery and Lewis Lake Covenant Church (pictured), all of Ogilvie, to honor the fallen on Monday morning, May 29.

A school name change was on the agenda at the Thursday, May 25, Mora school board meeting, along with recognition for an accomplished teacher and a student trip to the British Isles. Superintendent Craig Schultz made a proposal to change Trailview School’s name to “Mora Elementary School.” The site would

continue to be known as the “Trailview Complex.” “Based on recommendations from the elementary administration and myself, and input from parents, the consensus was to make the name consistent with Mora High School,” Schultz said. The board unanimously approved the name change. Mark Schmitz, executive director of Resource Training SEE TRAILVIEW, PAGE 6
