Ultimate Motors, one of the leading distributors of exotic and luxury sports cars in the GCC, is proud to be the exclusive distributor of the ‘Zenvo ST1’ in the Middle East. Car Xpress got a chance to talk to Jesper Jensen, CEO & founder of Zenvo Automotive during last year’s Dubai International Motor Show, and here’s what he said about the car’s evolution: “We started research and development for the prototype in 2004 with the objective of producing the best looking and most drivable supercar in the world, and we are very proud to be finally launching the ‘Zenvo ST1’ in the region. “In our massive investment into the development of this supercar, we have decided to deviate from the bandwagon of coming up with the fastest supercar even though we have the resources to do so because we believed that it would be more sensible to offer a beautiful supercar that could be properly driven within city limits as well as on the racing track.” Jensen said his company’s partnership with Ultimate Motors allows them to market the Zenvo, hands-down a highly exclusive supercar, in the Middle East. No worries, Ultimate can handle a horde of boys wanting new toys.

Citroën:

The car that saved President Charles de Gaulle from assassination has gone a long way…and has reinvented itself.

special car

The Citroën DS became part of history on Aug. 22, 1962—the height of the war in Algeria, a French colony—when a group named Organisation de l’armée secrète, tried to assassinate President De Gaulle over his move to grant independence to that country. De Gaulle and his wife narrowly escaped death when their Citroën DS was targeted by machine gun fire. The DS made its world debut at the Paris Motor Show on Oct. 6, 1955. Within 45 minutes, 749 orders had been taken, and by the end of the day, 12,000. During a twenty-year career in which 1.45 million units were produced, the DS established itself as the market standard, proudly carrying all sorts of customers, including Hollywood icons, where its most

recent films include “Back to the Future II (1989), by Robert Zemeckis, with Michael J. Fox; “Gattaca” (1997), by Andrew Niccol with Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke; and “Catch Me if You Can” (2002) by Steven Spielberg with Leonardo Di Caprio, Tom Hanks and Christopher Walken. With its name derived from Déesse (French for Goddess), the Citroën DS’ innovative design was styled by Italian sculptor Flaminio Bertoni. The futuristic shape was an instant design classic. But it wasn’t just the shape that revolutionised automotive design: the complex self-leveling suspension, plus powered steering, clutch and brakes were otherwordly compared to rival cars of the era. Citroën officially took part in its first

international motor sports events with the DS, and quickly built up an impressive track record. Its favourite disciplines were rallies and long-distance raids and here—once again—it was an innovator. It claimed victory in the Monte Carlo Rally (1959 and1966), the Neige et Glace (snow and ice) Criterium (1960, 1967), the Tour of Belgium, the Liège-Sofia-Liège (1961), the Road Marathon, the Tour of Corsica (1961, 1963), the Alps Cup and the Morocco Rally (1969). It also turned in a brilliant performance in the East African Safari and the LondonSydney, Wembley-Mexico raids. The DS won on all types of terrain – snow and ice, gravel and asphalt – driven by the greatest drivers of the time. A stunning demonstration of its on-road qualities.

The Cadillac CTS Coupe originally emerged as a proposal inside Cadillac’s dedicated design studio, where designers developed and evolved the brand’s Art and Science philosophy, and so the path to production for the 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe & CTS-V Coupe was rapid. Using the same 6.2L V8 engine producing 556hp net from the world’s fastest production sedan, the new Cadillac CTS-V Coupe is the quickest vehicle in its segment, while the CTS-Coupe’s 3.6L V6 engine

BMW Brings Automotive Sustainability to the Middle East The new BMW ActiveHybrid X6 and ActiveHybrid 7 combine greater dynamics with greater fuel efficiency BMW Group is activat-

ing phase two of its Efficient Dynamics strategy in the region with the 8 Car Xpress

launch of the BMW ActiveHybrid 7 and X6 models, which integrate the latest electric and petrol engine technologies to further reduce fuel consumption and emissions. BMW has already enjoyed significant success on the path to zero-emission vehicles, with over 1.6 million models already fitted with Efficient Dynamics technologies that reduce emissions and improve efficiency during phase one of the Efficient Dynamics strategy. This strategy has made the BMW Group the world’s most sustainable car manufac-

turer. Hybrid vehicles have two different drives. The combination of a combustion engine and an electric motor with a storage battery that allows for particularly efficient energy management. BMW ActiveHybrid combines this technology with hallmark BMW driving characteristics that result in a Hybrid that combines greater dynamics with greater fuel efficiency. The BMW ActiveHybrid X6 enters the Middle East market with a 4.4 litre V8 engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo Technology, supported by two electric motors. It offers three drive options: to drive with electric power alone, to use the power of the combustion engine, or benefit from the combination of both drive modes. Driving completely free of CO₂ in the electric mode is possible up to a speed of 60km/h, the combustion engine then cuts in as required and is automatically switched off when driving at a speed of less than 65km/h.

Legendary. Driven. Perennial. Quintessential. Consistent. A state-of-the-art expression of the ultimate sport utility vehicle the way it should be. So much has been said about this unrivalled work of passion that Car Xpress has decided to—rightfully, that is—cap it all with a fitting accolade: “The 2010 SUV of the Year.” Every 3 months, Car Xpress magazine gives awards to cars in different segments: City, Sports, Family, Concept, Sports utility vehicle and Luxury. The 2010 Nissan Patrol was chosen for its qualities, performance, design and innovation. Reason for being Nissan Patrol is your reason for being, without which you would have missed a lifetime of off-road adventure, the kind this awesome SUV brought to the world the minute it hit Arabian land back in 1957 and zoomed away to immediately be a mere dot in the bronze horizon—like an animal unleashed; unstoppable! Nissan Patrol is a name synonymous with ruggedness; a legendary off-roader capable of going anywhere, anytime. Luxury is just not its morning brew. It is not an understatement to say that for many owners across the Middle East, the Patrol is THE vehicle they grew up with; through time, becoming an inseparable part of the social and cultural fabric of Arabia. Over 50 years later, Nissan Patrol’s 12 Car Xpress

meticulously honed consistency lives. The wild thing continues to command omnipresent respect with its rich heritage and resounding impact. Times have changed and so has the Patrol—living up to its consistency. Evolution A host of factors from traffic jams to supermarket runs, and motorists insisting on having their cakes and eat them too, sent Nissan Patrol back to the drawing board. It underwent evolution to become a fully independent suspension job. This, following 13,265 hours of rigorous testing in tough terrain close to the UAE and Saudi border between early 2008 and late 2009 by more than 40 engineers from Japan to assess performance and durability. Building on its impressive history while incorporating a new platform, a radical new design direction, the Patrol, hands down, is now the most powerful vehicle in its class. The key technology achieving this jump in performance over the predecessor’s 4.8 litre power plant is the newly developed ‘VK56VD’ 5.6-litre V8 engine with VVEL (variable valve event and lift) and DIG (direct injection gasoline) technologies that deliver 400 horsepower and 560Nm of torque, with enhanced fuel efficiency and cleaner emissions on the top specification version of this new engine. Superb stability The Hydraulic Body Motion Control (HBMC) System, which attaches cylinders on each wheel, coupled with cross-piping, is a world-class feature, too. In a layman’s word, it keeps the car flatter with less body roll during lane-changing and

cornering, while delivering a comfortable ride in city driving and superb stability on rugged and sandy tracks. A crucial part of the handling equation, HBMC employs a four-wheel independent suspension, upgraded from the previous rigid axle setup. With this, Nissan has completely redesigned the vehicle’s suspension from the bushes to the links. The combination of HBMC and the new suspension system with its longer stroke delivers significantly improved handling and stability on both on- and off-road terrain. The Patrol also employs a newly developed All Mode 4x4 system, which allows the driver to quickly switch between four drive modes: sand, on-road, snow, and rock, with the flick of a switch. In sand mode, owners are able to drive safely, quickly and skillfully in sand and dirt, just like professional rally drivers. The Patrol also offers a new Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control, which can also be selected easily with the touch of a button. The HAS keeps the vehicle stationary on a slope with no rollback by simply stepping off the brake pedal. The HDC uses the brakes to maintain a constant downhill speed of 7km/h in 4H mode and 4km/h in 4L mode. A revised, more effective brake system also provides the best braking performance in its class thanks to its new hydraulic brake booster and a four-piston opposed front caliper setup with larger 358mm front discs. Cool safety features Nissan Patrol is the SUV with most safety features. It has employed state-of-theart safety technologies that help the driver maintain comfortable driving, to recover from dangerous conditions and minimize the damage when a collision is unavoidable. Incorporated in the Nissan worldrenowned Safety

Shield, the safety systems include Lane Departure Warning and Prevention, which assists the driver in avoiding unintended lane departure. If the Patrol is getting close to the lane markers unintentionally, LDW warns the driver with an alarm and an indicator to brake. At the same time, LDP assists the driver to bring the vehicle back to the lane by generating a turning force by applying the brake. Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) reduces the driver’s burden to keep the speed or distance constant. It assists the driver both with braking and accelerating, in the traffic that requires less speed change. With Distance Control Assist (DCA), the drive’s burden to keep a distance to the vehicle in the front is reduced, particularly in traffic jams requiring frequent braking. If the Forward Collision Warning system senses there is a risk of a collision ahead, it warns the driver with an alarm and an indicator to brake. The Automated Hazard Warning Signal has been added to assist in the event of a collision, where the signal comes on automatically. Vehicle Dynamic Control combines with Traction Control System, Helical Brake LSD (Limited Slip Differential) and mechanical Differential Lock functions to automatically prevent the Patrol from sliding sideways on slippery road surfaces when changing lanes or negotiating a curve. Intelligent Brake Assist sensor measures the distance from a preceding vehicle and gives a warning with an alarm and an indicator on display. If it judges that a collision is unavoidable even after driver action, it applies the brake to slow the vehicle and help reduce injuries and damage. Patrol is available with an advanced six-airbag configuration. Front Seat Belt Pretensioners and Load Limiters automatically tighten the seat belts in certain frontal collisions, while load limiters are designed to give a little, to help reduce belt-force load transmitted to front occupants. Other safety features include the Crash-sensitive Door Unlock. On detecting collision, the doors unlock themselves to ensure free movement of the occupants. Active Head Restraints help in certain rear-end collisions, as front-seat Active Head Restraints move upward and forward to help cushion the head and to reduce whiplash-type injuries. 14 Car Xpress

World-firsts While having created a comprehensive array of advanced safety systems, the engineering team has also managed to create world-first technologies, besides the HBMC. They include the curtain vent, an advanced individual DVD entertainment system and the Tyre Pressure Monitor System with Tyre Inflation Indicator. The upper vents for the front seats are designed in a way that the steering wheel would not block the wind, however, the curtain vents are a totally revised climate control system. The system has several small but highly effective vents mounted in the ceiling above each side window to blow a strong current of cool air down forming a curtain of air that acts as a barrier to heat penetrating the cabin. The 2010 Patrol also has a multi screen individual rear seat DVD system and built-in cool box. The multi-screen, multi-functional individual DVD entertainment system boasts 3 displays, a dashboard screen and two rear-facing TVs; one 7-inch OVGA (Wide Video Graphic Array – 800x480 pixel) monitor embedded into each front seat headrest that can connect to the various source of music, video and entertainment, such as the DVD, i-Pod and game player. Moreover, the new Patrol delivers seat dimensions that outclass all competition. Boasting wider, higher and deeper front seats, the Patrol offers over 100mm more legroom for second row passengers, and a roomier third row of seats as well. Employing double the lateral rigidity over the outgoing model, the new Patrol sits on a revised platform that now offers a more robust construction with a low vibration body. Perhaps another feature of the Patrol that speaks so much about its makers’ passion for the extraordinary is that it is very quiet inside, like riding on a private jet—all the thumping from the tyres are absorbed by the suspension that it’d make you wonder at times whether you’re riding on wheels at all or just gliding through the terrain!! Indeed. This flagship, seventh generation Patrol, packed with refinement and technology, offers enhanced world class travel experience, while always being at home in the desert. Now, wouldn’t grandma’s ride home be a lot more fun?

most highly-anticipated Mercedes-Benz AMG models simply because it offers impeccably stylish design, outstanding performance and sheer driving pleasure,” said Wassim Derbi, Marketing Manager, Gargash Enterprises. “This car is definitely all set to carve a niche for itself in the UAE and will be on the must-have list of every super sports car connoisseur.” The stylish two-seater is already a global sensation in the luxury sports car segment, with features like aluminium space frame body, Gullwing doors, AMG 6.3-litre V8 front-midengine developing 571 hp peak output, 650 Nm of torque and dry sump lubrication, seven-speed double-declutch transmission in a transaxle configuration, sports suspension with aluminium double wishbones, and a kerb weight of 1620 kilograms based on the DIN standard. This superlative combination guarantees driving dynamics of the highest order. One of the key strik-

ing features of the car is the futuristic pair of gullwing doors, which lends an incomparable charisma to the SLS AMG. The long bonnet, the low greenhouse positioned well to the rear and the short rear end with its extendable rear aerofoil stand for dynamism, as do the long wheelbase, the wide track and large 19 and 20inch wheels. The design theme of an aircraft cockpit is also reflected in the long centre console of mattfinished, solid metal. Features integrated into this include the AMG DRIVE UNIT, which enables the driver of the SLS AMG to choose a personal vehicle setup. The AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission is operated by the E-SELECT lever, which resembles the thrust control of a jet aircraft. Despite the low seating position typical of a sports car, the wide-opening gullwing doors allow easy access. The SLS also breaks the mould when it comes to the body concept: for the first time, Mercedes-Benz and AMG are presenting a car with an aluminium chassis and body. The newly developed body shell consists of an aluminium space frame. This exclusive design combines intelligent lightweight design with outstanding strength and results in significant weight saving, thus delivering superlative driving dynamics.

Citroën:

The car that saved President Charles de Gaulle from assassination has gone a long way…and has reinvented itself.

22 Car Xpress

Car Xpress 23

Fast forward Today, Citroen has reinvented itself. The French car manufacturer has turned a new page in its history, and started a global brand project that encompasses a new visual identity, a new relationship with its customers and an exciting new line of automotive products. The Citroën DS Inside is a concept car which was unveiled on Feb. 5, 2009 at the Geneva Motor Show. It is a prefiguration of the new luxury DS (Different Spirit) range of Citroën. The range will include three models, the first one, the Citroën DS3, will 26 Car Xpress

go on sale in 2010 and will be derived from the DS Inside. This range of vehicle will share no common feature with and be in no way the successor of the legendary Citroën DS. The DS Inside (and therefore the future DS3) is a concept of a luxury compact car which would compete against the Mini and the Alfa Romeo MiTo. In a difficult economic climate, and in a period of changing relationships between customers and brands, Citroën has, indeed, reinvented itself. Citroën strongly recognises the alliance between creativity and technology;

being the first to propose Stop & Start technology on the Citroën C2 and C3. It also leads the European market with its automated manual gearboxes and has pioneered particulate filters. The marque illustrated its ecological and economical commitment in 2008 by confirming its European leadership on vehicles emitting 110 g/km of CO2 or less, thanks to the Citroën C1. Rather than aiming for pure technological exploits, Citroën innovates for the benefit of its customers. It invented Hydractive suspension, the wide-angle panoramic windscreen, and new driving aids such as

the lane departure warning system. It has also developed new designs with maximum use of space, as seen on its latest new model, the Citroen C3 Picasso. Citroën has the boldness to completely rethink the automobile. The Citroën C4 Picasso has transformed the segment, becoming the leading model in its class in 2008 and going on sale in the first-quarter of 2009, the Citroën C3 Picasso has the same ambitions. With the new Citroën Berlingo Multispace, launched in May 2008, and Citroën Nemo Multispace, coming in early 2009, Citroën will have a range of five, renewed MPV vehicles, making it the standard-setter in this segment. For the future, the Citroën Hypnos concept car will herald diesel hybrid technology and the Citroën C-Cactus is a new vision of the automobile. Car Xpress 27

Renault Fluence was designed with the aim of standing out as the most attractive car of its class and several features set it apart from rivals: beneath its strong, sporting exterior, Renault Fluence features a comfortable cabin and a barrage of useful technological aids. 30 Car Xpress

Renault Fluence targets customers looking for a status-enhancing saloon and will be built on the existing assembly line at the Oyak-Renault plant in Bursa, Turkey, where the booted Renault Mégane II was previously produced. Harmonious, modern forms This new, four-door saloon is 4.62 metres long and its size and generous levels of standard equipment place it halfway between the C segment, for compact family cars, and the segment immediately above. Streamlined headlights herald the start of an elegant waist line which sweeps harmoniously along Renault Fluence’s sides to the boot. The surround and chromed grille of the upper air intake embellish the car’s front-end looks with a sporting flourish, while Renault Fluence’s status-enhancing appeal is heightened by its sculptured wheel arches and long bonnet. At the rear, the horizontal, two-part lights allow a generous boot aperture and reinforce the car’s thoroughly modern styling. Renault Fluence packs several opulent upgrade touches: the lower window and

boot trims, foglamp surrounds and door handles are finished in chrome, while the B-pillar uprights are gloss black along with body colour side protective mouldings. Perceptions of strength and quality The sense of strength and safety is reinforced by the carefully proportioned balance between the windows and the large surface area of the doors, the lower part of which incorporates protective panels. Seen from the side, a distinctive character line flows rearward from the rounded front wings before emphasizing the solid rear haunches. Renault Fluence creates an impression of quality, and particular attention has been paid to the fit and finish of body panels (windscreen pillars and refuelling flap, for example). The rear bumper incorporates discreet parking sensors. At rest, the windscreen wipers are tucked away behind the bonnet’s upper edge, partly for aesthetic reasons, but also to reduce wind noise and improve aerodynamic efficiency. A simple yet elegantly styled interior In the cabin, the airy facia design incorporates taut, uncluttered lines that

are complemented by the sweep of the dashboard trim strip. Essential driving functions and useful accessories all fall easily to hand. They are concentrated around the steeringwheel and centre console with a view to freeing up as much space as possible and to making the car even more user-friendly. Significant care went into choosing the ideal materials and finish: the integrated upper dashboard cowling has a soft-touch finish, yet it is also resistant to everyday knocks and exposure to direct sunlight. The step-up in range is equally visible in cabin details such as the chrome finish applied to door handles, instrument surrounds and gearlever knob, as well as the availability of either light- or darkhued leather upholstery. Particular attention has been paid to the decorative trimming to create a varied range of distinctive ambiances, and also distinguish between different equipment levels. Customers can choose from a light, elegant interior which exudes a sense of wellbeing, or else something darker, with more sporting overtones. Car Xpress 31

Purely sportive with a lifestyle soul

Car Xpress 33

The California boasts a number of firsts for the prancing horse marque—it is the first front-mounted V8 engine and retractable hard top model for Ferrari. The Ferrari California is an exceptionally innovative car whose philosophy takes its concept inspiration from the spirit and emotions of one of the great Ferraris of the past, the 1957 250 California. It was one of the most versatile Ferraris ever built and combines a purely sportive approach with a lifestyle soul. The California is available exclusively as a convertible with retractable folding hardtop in either a two-seater version with a traditional rear bench or in the 2+ version which sees the rear bench equipped with seating for one to two passengers. Al Tayer Motors, one of UAE’s premier automobile dealerships, showcased the Ferrari California and the 599 HGTE (Handling Grand Turismo Evoluzione) at the Dubai Motorshow last year. “The Dubai Motorshow attracts visitors from all over the GCC region and we wanted to give them an opportunity to see the Ferrari California and the 599 HGTE, which were some of the latest offerings from the Prancing Horse marque. We also wanted to underscore our continued support for the

34 Car Xpress

event,” said Hossam Hosni, general manager – Luxury Auto, Al Tayer Motors.

Styling The California’s sleek aerodynamic styling is, like the rest of the current Ferrari models, the result of a longstanding collaboration with Pininfarina and offers a host of signature Ferrari styling cues. Viewed from the side, the aerodynamic sweep of the bonnet beautifully contrasts with the compact tail volume and the pulledback cabin. The front continues some of the themes hinted at on the flanks, harmoniously alternating concave and convex volumes. Seen head-on, the car clearly takes much of its inspiration from the prestigious Prancing Horse car from which it takes its name: the grille and slender air intake at the centre of the bonnet most notably harking back to the 250 GT California.

Aerodynamics The Ferrari California’s aerodynamics were, of course, developed in tandem with its styling. This allowed Ferrari to keep the Cx (drag coefficient) right down with respect to the downforce required for optimal vehicle dynamics. In the coupé configuration, the California has a Cx value of 0.32. A desire

to achieve perfect balance between vertical load and drag influenced the shape of the rear diffuser and the spoiler incorporated into the front bumper. Drag has been cut to 10% lower than on the other Ferrari models which not only makes the California a more aerodynamically efficient car but also reduces fuel consumption. Last but not least, the air intake on the bonnet ensures highly efficient cooling of the engine compartment.

The new 8-cylinder engine This is the first V8 in the history of Ferrari road-cars to be mid-front mounted. Built entirely from aluminium, it retains the typical Ferrari architecture with a 90° angle between the two cylinder banks and a 180° angle between the cranks. The engine has a total displacement of 4,300 cc and a maximum power output of 460 hp/338 kW at 7,750 rpm. With a specific power of 107 hp/litre, its maximum torque is 485 Nm (49 kgm) at 5,000 rpm, 75% of which is available at just 2,250 rpm. The Ferrari California takes less than 4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h and delivers a blistering 310 km/h top speed. The new V8 features direct fuel injection and variable timing (on both intake and

exhaust) to guarantee superb performance, exceptional handling and fuel consumption and emissions that easily comply with the toughest Euro 5 and Lev2 standards. Thanks in part to these solutions, the Ferrari California consumes just 13.1 litres/100 km (ECE combined) and has carbon emissions of 305.6 g\km (ECE combined). The California’s engine sound was also carefully developed as this is one of the great Ferrari signatures and really does contribute to enhancing driving pleasure. Particular attention was lavished on sound perception in the cabin both with the top up and down to ensure that trademark thrill without compromising on occupant acoustic comfort.

Gearbox and transmission The Ferrari California sports a new dual clutch gearbox (7-speed + reverse) with the now traditional steering wheel-mounted F1style paddles. This is an innovative system that guarantees a superb combination of performance and ride comfort. With the dual clutch, one clutch is used for evennumbered gears and the other for oddnumbered ones, and allows the pre-selection of the next gear required. The gears are changed by overlapping

the opening and closing stage of both clutches, resulting in gearshifting times that are close to zero and with no “torque interrupt”. The result is not only enhanced performance but truly thrilling driving pleasure. The traditional transaxle layout (engine to the front and gearbox to the rear) also contributes to the California’s perfect weight distribution (47% front - 53% rear) and to reducing vibration to the bodyshell. In manual mode, the new gearbox guarantees great sporty driving pleasure while extra comfort is assured in automatic.

Chassis and suspensions The Ferrari California’s chassis and bodyshell are both made entirely from aluminium. It retains the traditional double wishbone suspension to the front while a new multilink system has been specially developed for the rear. What this means in practice is that the car beautifully absorbs any unevenness, and noise and vibration are efficiently damped for exceptional ride comfort well on a par with the car’s nimble handling. The SCM Magnetorheological Suspension Control System, debuted on the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, is also available on request.

Retractable Hard Top Of course the Ferrari California’s signature feature has to be its retractable hard top (RHT). It is made from aluminium panels and has a cast aluminium weight-bearing structure which has reduced its overall weight and the moving mass involved. The entire opening/closing cycle is completed in just 14 seconds and thanks to the original stowage system, the California’s boot space remains extremely generous regardless of whether it is up or down.

Safety equipment The Ferrari California boasts an ejectable roll-bar to ensure that its occupants are protected should the car overturn. The system is installed behind the backrests of the rear seats and is hidden by the trim of the same. Ejection time is under 190ms. Carrozzeria Scaglietti Personalisation Programme The Carrozzeria Scaglietti Programme allows all Ferrari clients to personalise their car to suit their own tastes and requirements. There are four main areas covered by the Programme: Racing and Track, Exteriors and Colours, Interior and Materials, Equipment and Travel.

deviate from the bandwagon of coming up with the fastest supercar even though we have the resources to do so because we believed that it would be more sensible to offer a beautiful supercar that could be properly driven within city limits as well as on the racing track. Further, our partnership with Ultimate Motors allows us to market our highly exclusive supercar in the Middle East, and we are confident that the regional market will appreciate the powerful features and specifications, and most of all, the reliability and practicality of the ‘Zenvo ST1’.” Designed to depict the excessive power and performance of the car, the ‘Zenvo ST1’ is a rear wheel drive supercar featuring 3-way adjustable Öhlins shock absorbers affixed to double wishbone suspension front and rear, in addition to offering a fully

hydraulic ride height control function. With a EUR 850,000 price tag, the exclusive ‘Zenvo ST1’ is the first 100 per cent Danish designed supercar, weighing in at 1,376 kg and riding on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels shod with Michelin tires - 265/35 Y19 at the front and 335/30 Y20 at the rear. It also sports big power-assisted brakes - 380mm front and 355mm rear ventilated discs gripped by 6-piston light alloy calipers. The development and production of the ‘Zenvo ST1’ will be undertaken in a hyper modern production hall with Zenvo Automotives’ dedicated team of motoring enthusiasts. “Our passion for supercars is what drives us to deliver these pioneering automotive engineering marvels to the region, and what translates into the precision care and first-rate service we strive to provide to our clients. We are in awe of the perfect

combination of power and drivability of the ‘Zenvo ST1’, as well as its capacity to run on both or a combination of normal gas and Bioethanol (E85), which makes it an environmentally conscious yet exemplary supercar choice for customers. We are confident that its launch at the ‘Dubai International Motor Show 2009’ will afford the ‘Zenvo ST1’ its much deserved recognition in the region, not only for its mind-blowing performance but also its everyday practicality,” added Nasser Al Hai, President, Ultimate Motors.
