FARM MANAGER
Hands-on role focused on maximising crop yields on company-owned farms.
✔ Highly skilled in all aspects of farming, from cultivation, planting, irrigation to harvest, with a working knowledge of vegetable crops, pest management and soil health
✔ Strong management skills to support farm staff and assist with planning and budgets
✔ High standard of maintenance skills for all farm equipment and infrastructure
Study Pathways:

• Certificate III in Horticulture
AGRONOMIST
Ag scientist and entomologist whose knowledge strengthens crop production, soil management and the non-conventional control of plant diseases and pests.
✔ Essential link between sales team and growers to coordinate cropping schedules
✔ Monitors and forecasts crop quality, volumes and maturity for optimal harvests
✔ Monitors pest, weed and disease pressure, and advises on effective controls
✔ Manages the beneficial inspect program and assists with research trials
Study Pathways:
• Bachelor of Agriculture Science

FARM HAND
All routine tasks on companyowned farms including cultivating, irrigating, fertilising, weeding, and harvesting. Year-round work and primarily outdoors.

• Certificate I in Horticulture
• Certificate II in Production Horticulture
• On-the-job training
MECHANIC
Requires a broad skill set to maintain highly customised farming and automated processing machinery, and heavy vehicles.
✔ Responsible for regularly tuning machinery and actively responding to breakdowns
✔ Diagnosing faults, dismantling and repairing engines, transmissions, and mechanical parts
FITTER & WELDER
Skilled in diagnosing faults, fitting and welding metal parts to repair and construct farming and production machinery.
✔ Precisely check fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit to match drawings/specifications
✔ Forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal
✔ Cutting, threading, bending, and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines

MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN
Qualified electrician with a methodical approach to fault-finding.
✔ Servicing and repairing large and small circuit systems, electric motors and variable speed drives to keep plant and equipment running safely and efficiently.
✔ Working proactively to prevent break-downs - when they do occur, ensure production lines are back in operation quickly.
Study Pathways:
• Certificate IV in Electrotechnology –Systems Electrician
• Certificate III in Engineering – Industrial Electrician
MECHANICAL ENGINEER (AUTOMATION/ ROBOTICS)
Helps plan, design, and oversee the assembly, operation and maintenance of world-class farming and food processing equipment.
✔ Advanced programming skills using 2D and 3D software to optimise hightech automated and robotic platforms to create the most streamline system possible
✔ Advancing the use of vision grading technology is central to this role
Study Pathways:
• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronics)

QUALITY ASSURANCE
Food Safety Technicians are vital and responsible for maintaining and improving high quality standards for food safety from seed to shelf.
✔ Knowledgeable of all state and federal regulations for Kalfresh products
✔ Implementing and maintaining the quality control management systems, and preparing for external audits to ensure compliance
✔ Take and send required swabs and samples for testing, maintaining a highstandard of records

FINANCE MANAGER
The numbers in agriculture are just as important as the crops we grow. Knowing and understanding the business metrics is vital for success.
✔ Responsible for financial planning, forecasting and budgeting with senior executives, measuring supply chain and production performance
✔ Manages internal audits, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and procurement activities
✔ Monitors economic conditions and market trends and ensures compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements
