Casey Philharmonic Orchestra welcomes you to the inaugural Music by the Lake at Wilson Botanical Park in Berwick. This is the biggest ever cultural gathering in the City of Berwick and will be showcasing a vast array of local artistic talent.
We hope that the ever-fickle Melbourne weather behaves itself and that you enjoy the ambiance of the park, the various performances and partake of the tasty food from the trucks.
An event of this scale requires long-term planning and support from numerous sources. We are grateful to The City of Casey for trusting the CPO’s vision in creating this event and to our sponsors:

Casey Philharmonic Orchestra is a young, innovative and vibrant community orchestra of volunteer musicians based in the City of Casey. We held our first rehearsal in June 2017, and performed at the opening of Bunjil Place, Narre Warren – now our principal performance venue - in October the same year.
Now in our seventh year CPO continues to provide extraordinary opportunities for musicians in Melbourne’s outer south-east. We strongly value building collaborative relationships with other local arts organisations, and we pride ourselves on performing orchestral music of the highest calibre for the enjoyment of our audiences and musicians alike. CPO was a finalist in the 2023 Casey Community Awards (Lindsay King Art Award).
CPO is delighted to welcome you to this free concert using the amphitheatre at Berwick’s Wilson Botanical Park. We are showcasing pieces from our previous popular ‘Star Wars’, ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Villains and Superheroes’ shows, in addition to other well-loved big screen movie themes and a performance of ‘Waltz of the Reaper’ specially composed for last year’s local Composer’s Competition. We hope you enjoy the show and look forward to seeing you at our ‘Spanish Nights’, ‘West Side Story’ and ‘Memphis’ shows later in the year.
