ŌWAIRAKA PROGRESS UPDATE DECEMBER 2020
COMMUNITY END OF YEAR CELEBRATION On Saturday 5 December, we held a fun-filled community day to celebrate the end of another busy year at the Ōwairaka Development. Around 250 locals came along to enjoy the festivities and chat with our development team and Piritahi staff about the infrastructure upgrades, new Community Hub and what to expect heading into 2021. It was also great to have our builder partners Modul, Jalcon and Mike Greer Homes at the event, sharing scale models and house plans of the beautiful new homes for sale in the neighbourhood.
There was also the opportunity to wander through two of the brand new state homes recently completed on Range View Road—a standalone 6-bedroom home and a 3-bedroom duplex—ahead of tenants moving in. Kids were kept entertained with the ‘build your own lego city’ activity, nature playground and outdoor table tennis, and everyone enjoyed some fantastic live music, free sausage sizzle and free coffee truck (for the adults!). AN END OF YEAR MESSAGE FROM AILEEN MANITI, ŌWAIRAKA DEVELOPMENT MANAGER What a year! There’s been a lot of activity happening in the neighbourhood over the past 12 months, particularly with significant infrastructure works underway to improve the neighbourhood’s stormwater system. On behalf of the development team, I’d like to say a big thank you to the whole community for your patience,
and for your valued feedback as we work to deliver new warm, dry homes to the area. Thank you also to those who attended our recent end of year community day. We look forward to hosting many more community events and activities next year, particularly at the new Community Hub. Wishing you and your family a safe and happy holiday season!
