街坊帶路 Kaifong Tour


「街坊」泛指生活在該社區的居民,他們的背景廣泛,有生活在當地超過半世紀的長者,也有新來港人士,土生土長的非華 裔族群等。街坊帶路團隊相信,他們每一個經歷,每一個故事,也有機會為我們帶來啟發。自2016年起,街坊帶路透過社區 導賞、社區導賞員培訓、路線設計服務、社區探索工作坊及其他社區項目,讓街坊以導賞員的身份帶領社區愛好者、教育工 作者及學生一同探索,開啟對社區的想像,讓參加者細味各個社區的獨特之處,藉著親身體驗了解及反思不同社會議題,從 而提升社區凝聚力。
我曾從事教育及培訓的工作,深感新一代的學習需要。從事社區工作後,發現社區就像一個寶庫,蘊藏的教育元素比我們想 像中多。因此,街坊帶路推出「社區教育計劃」,以社區為真實的場景,讓學生透過接觸社會不同階層,引導他們對社區的觸覺, 從而有助他們立體地去建構對社會的認知,以至塑造對社會的正向觀念。
面對瞬息萬變的社會,我們更要去啟發學生以多角度去思考自身與社區的關係。透過走出課室的學習,街坊帶路可配合教育 工作者,在教育的過程中培養學生獨立的思維及探究的精神,讓學生從小認識自己身處的地方,提升學生學習的動機和興趣, 與課室內的教學相輔相成。
「十年樹木,百年樹人。」在教育這任重道遠的路途中,街坊帶路願意成為教育界的同行者,攜手在社區中實踐教育理念與 價值。

Kaifong refers to residents in a local community. They come from all walks of life, including elderlies living in the neighbourhood for decades, new immigrants and ethnic minorities born and raised in Hong Kong. Our team believes that their unique experiences and life stories will inspire us in many possible ways.
Since 2016, Kaifong Tour has been organizing community projects such as community tours, training programmes for community docents, and route designing services. This allows Kaifong, as community docents, to lead community advocates, educators and students to step on a journey of exploration and imagination, while experiencing the characteristics of local districts. Participants can also personally understand and reflect on different social issues, thus enhancing cohesiveness in the community.
My experience in the education and training field has enabled me to appreciate and deeply understand the learning needs of the new generation. Since I took up community work, I have realized that the community is an enormous treasure chest, containing educational elements far beyond our imagination.
Therefore, Kaifong Tour launches this “Community Education Programme”. With the community being the learning environment, we aim to provide students with opportunities to get in touch with people from different social classes. Through the Programme, we will guide them in developing their sensitivity to current affairs, therefore establishing an all-rounded understanding and shaping a positive mindset towards the community.
Given the rapid change in society, it is of utmost importance to inspire students to reflect upon their relationship with the community from multiple perspectives. Through Out-of-Classroom Learning Experiences, Kaifong Tour can collaborate with educators to motivate students’ independent thinking and curiosity, enable students to become familiar with their living environment, stimulate their interests and motivation in learning and ultimately achieve a synergistic effect with classroom teaching.
“It takes ten years to grow trees, but a hundred years to nurture people.” On the journey of educating the future generation, Kaifong Tour wishes to be a companion of the education sector so that we, together, can put our shared educational values into action within our community.

Kaifong Tour is a social enterprise dedicated to promoting community engagement in Hong Kong. We provide alternative and experiential learning experience catered for schools, corporates and non-governmental organizations. With guided tours, community docent training, community exploration workshops and other community projects, we wish to bring forth a first-person perspective of a Kaifong to community lovers, educators and people from all walks of life, so that they will start to explore and appreciate the local communities, open up imaginations and reflect on various social issues.

Kaifong Tour is founded by a group of like-minded people who love and care about the community, and are also passionate and determined to generate on the ground impacts in the community. We examine the needs of kaifongs, advocate continuous succession with the community through professional design thinking and bring forth social innovation through community tour and community docent training, co-creating communities with connectedness.

What
社區教育計劃以體驗學習為中心,共分為「社區 認知」、「社區參與」及「度身訂造項目」三個不同 的系列去帶動學生或其他參加者投入社區中。
社區認知
本系列所針對的是對社區或其相關議題的新鮮人; 過程中 主要會從理解及體驗入手。本系列的特點是由社區導師團
隊帶領參加者走進社區,把社區的精華帶給他們; 同時,參 加者亦有機會在團隊的帶領下,完成一系列的社區探索。我 們希望可以透過本系列活動拉近人與社區的關係,從而培 養參加者心繫社區的情懷及對社區的歸屬感。
本系列所針對的是對社區有基礎認識,並有志投身社會服

The Community Education Programme emphasizes experiential learning, and is divided into three series, “Community Awareness”, “Community Participation "and “Customizable Programmes”. It aims to motivate students or other participants to engage in the community.
This series serves target groups without concrete knowledge about the community and related issues, therefore understanding and experiencing are chosen as the major modes of delivery. The key feature of programmes in this series is that participants will walk into the community and obtain community insights from the sharing by our docents. Meanwhile, participants have the opportunity to explore the community under guidance. Through this series, we wish to draw them closer to the community, hence establish their connectedness with the community and develop their sense of belonging.
This series is suitable for those who possess certain knowledge of the community, or those who have an aspiration to engage in social services. It can also serve as a sequel to the Community Awareness Series. It involves basic programme planning and management, where the participants will form groups and become part of the community network or project teams. Community docents will assist them to convert their ideas into concrete and practical project plans.

This series is designed for educational institutions, groups and/ or organizations with specific training needs. It also provides continuous engagement opportunities to participants of the above series. Adjustments to the programmes can be made to cater for users' needs.
Our Community Docent Team 2.2
社區導師來自全港社區。他們既有不同專業,如教育、社福 界及商界等;亦有不同的背景,如青年、退休人士、基層街 坊及傷健人士等,部分成員更擁有美國解說協會(National Association for Interpretation) 所發出的解說導遊認證 (Certified Interpretive Guide) 資歷。我們可為需求方配對 最切合其需要的導師。
Our community docents comprise people from different districts in Hong Kong and of different professions including the education, social welfare and business sectors, and from different backgrounds, such as the youth, the retired, the grassroots and People with Disabilities (PwDs). Some of them are also qualified as “Certified Interpretive Guide” by the National Association for Interpretation of the USA. Such variety allows us to match the docent that best suits your needs.

社區導師注重參加者與社區之間的互動,並以親身經歷引導 參加者投入社區。

Our team applies experiential learning through guided community experiences to enable students to gain insights from first-hand observations and facilitate their self-reflection.
Our team emphasizes the interaction between participants and the community. They will guide participants to engage in the community through sharing their personal experience.
We value the connection between individuals, the community and society, and we dedicate ourselves to provide individuals and organizations with personal and unique experience in the community. Therefore, our team considers the specific needs and characteristics of participants and, based on the actual circumstances, fine tune the programmes as appropriate.
While information about the community abounds, we specialise in connecting individuals with the community resources, enabling you to understand the community from kaifong’s perspective through their sharing.
主題式社區導賞及考察
社區導師將帶領參加者認識社區的生活面貌,配合互動的 環節,使參加者有機會體會到社區的特色文化、社區日常等 鮮為人知的一面, 亦會引導參加者理解導賞的脈絡及主題; 同時,社區導賞亦可以轉化成考察,團隊將透過介紹訪談和 簡單社區觀察技巧,引導學生主動接觸社區的人和事 ; 導師 團隊亦可以協助學生整理他們的發現,使其能更容易於學
業上應用(如:獨立專題探究報告 IES)。
社區導師將透過互動環節帶領參加者認識構成社區的一些 主要元素,加上鼓勵自主學習的活動設計,參加者將可探索 社區的多元性。過程中導師團隊將深入淺出地介紹有關社 區觀察的理論,以及將理論及手法作出扣連,以引導參加者 即席將所學實踐。 最後參加者將在導師團隊的引導下分享 自己的發現,過程中既可印證每人對社區的理解不同,亦可 從其他參加者的分享中對社區有更為立體的理解。
社區故事分享會為認識社區的入門,適用於各種場景。將以 街坊為中心,透過他們的生命故事、個人經歷,了解並探討 他們與社區的關係和連結。過程中,參加者無需走進社區, 卻可與分享者直接交流,從而希望達到以生命影響生命的 效果。
社區導師團隊會針對家庭和兒童學習的需要,從眾多活動 中挑選合適的模式與題材,並透過別出心裁的活動規劃,為 父母與子女之間創造機會,以促進親子關係。因此,團隊可 根據參加的家庭及兒童的特質,盡可能對活動內容作出相 應的調整。
The community docent team will lead the participants to learn more about the life of a community, along with certain interactive sessions, to give you a taste of the unique cultures and other aspects of the community that are rarely known. Our team will also guide the participants to understand the flow of the tour.
It can also serve as a field trip. Our team will encourage students to reach out to people and events in the community proactively through interviews and/or basic community observation techniques. We will also assist students in organizing their findings, so that their work can be converted to academic use (e.g. the Independent Enquiry Study, IES) more readily.
Through interactive sessions, community docents will guide participants to comprehend the primary components of a community. Activities are also designed to encourage a selfmotivated learning attitude. Participants can then explore the diversity of a community. Throughout the programme, community docents will introduce the principles of community observation while linking them to the related practical skills, such that participants will be able to apply the knowledge on the spot. Finally, with the guidance of our team, participants will share their findings with one another, exposing them to multiple perspectives in understanding, therefore formulating an allrounded concept about the community.
The community sharing sessions can be a prelude to understanding the community. Through the sharing of life stories and personal experience by kaifongs, participants understand and explore their linkage with the community. This allows participants to have direct exchanges with kaifong without going into the community, with a view to realising the impact of "influencing life with life".
The community docent team will select suitable modes and subject matters to cater for the needs of the family and children's learning. We also carefully plan the programme to create opportunities to foster parent-child relationships. Our team will consider the characteristics of participating families and children, and make corresponding adjustments to the programme content as appropriate.
社區領袖/導賞員培訓(可加入團隊建立及領袖
社區導師團隊將帶領參加者代入「社區素人」的角度,從零 開始引領各準導賞員以簡單貼地的角度認識社區。因此,課 程十分注重如何靈活地就地取材,充分運用社區場景。為兼 顧理論與實踐,課程會包含實習環節,課節之間亦有互動及 練習,促進導師與學員之間彼此的對話與探索。團隊希望導 賞員在通過培訓之後,掌握演說技巧,並以自己的熱情激發 他人對社區的興趣。
社區導師團隊將因應地區特質或主題需求,引導學生進行社 區探究及調查。內容包括進入社區前的準備,如社區探索及 訪問技巧;亦入走進社區的部分,如進行社區考察及訪談。
社區導師團隊將從中引導學生思考及分析當中的關係,從而 激發學生的多角度思維。整個過程理論和實踐並重,並可與 學習目標掛鈎。
社區導師團隊希望能透過社區採訪及影像紀錄的方式,為 一些即將面臨消失的社區景象和面臨淘汰、式微的傳統文 化和手工藝留下時代的印記,藉此推動文化傳承。另外,團 隊亦提供各活動後的影像或/和文字紀錄,以供參加者或團 體留為紀念或作內部參考之用。此手法亦可轉化成培訓,以 着重攝影、寫作技巧的方式引領參加者成為社區紀錄的一 份子。
社區教材製作 (如社區展覽、社區地圖及社區報) 社區導師團隊將因應不同社區的地理環境及社區現況,傳 授學生接觸社區的應有心態和相關技巧。參加者能透過觀 察、訪問及拍攝等方式收集主題的社區資源。導師團隊將會 有系統協助學生以文字、相片或影片等形式累積社區資源, 並引導學生以各種方式分類及呈現相關社區資源,使更多 的學生從中獲得啟發。
Our team will lead community leaders-to-be and docent trainees through the path of learning about the community from the on the ground perspective as a community newbie/ rookie/novice. Therefore, the training programme emphasizes the techniques of utilizing community scenarios on-thespot when guiding a tour. The programme covers theories and practices and includes practical sessions. There are also interactions and exercises in between sessions to encourage conversation and exploration among instructors and trainees. Trainees are expected to acquire oral presentation skills after the programme, and stimulate others’ interest in the community through their strong passion.
Our team will lead students in conducting community inquiries with adjustments according to the features of the district or the theme of the programme. The process of community inquiry involves preparation work such as developing their community exploration and interviewing skills, and also the execution part of entering the community for observations and interviews. The students will be guided to reflect on and analyze connections to nurture their multi-dimensional thinking. The programme values both theories and implementation, and it can be altered to fit the requested learning objectives.
Our team hopes that community scenes that are disappearing and some traditional cultures and handicrafts that risk fading out leave a trace of the era through community interviews and video recordings, thus promoting cultural succession. Videos and textual records will be provided to participants or groups after the programme for their records or internal reference. This programme can be converted into training focusing on photography and writing skills to prepare participants to help keep community records.
The community docent team will tutor students with the appropriate attitude and useful skills to interact with the community, relative to various geographic and social features. Participants can collect community resources by observation, interviews, photo-taking and video recording. The docent team will then provide them with a system to accumulate the information gathered and guide them in sorting and presenting the materials, hoping that more students will become inspired throughout the process.

服務學習是建基於公民社會理想的一種實踐,以連結學校 與社區的關係,發揮青年人的公民力量,促進青年人學習、 對社區作出貢獻,以及對社會作出承擔。透過服務學習,將 社會參與融入跨學科課程知識中,讓學生透過在地的社區 經驗,從中建立正面的價值觀。
Kaifong Tour can factor in the needs of the participants, goals of the institution or organization, as well as limitations in terms of group size, time and venue, and arrange a package of programmes to yield a synergistic effect. Through various modes of delivery, participants can obtain an all-rounded understanding of the community by approaching the community from multiple perspectives and using different media.
Service learning is an experience that puts the ideal state of a civil society into implementation. Through linking up institutions and the community, we hope to unleash the power of the young generation, motivating them to learn and bear the responsibility of contributing to society. Through service learning, the concept of social participation is embedded into multidisciplinary education. Students can develop positive values through on the ground community experience.

在早前的培訓當中有環節讓大家互相認識和培養小組間的默契,所以培訓除了 讓我們認識社區外,亦可以認識新朋友。當中亦訓練了溝通技巧,我們好開心 可以分享一些社區鮮為人知的故事給參加者,讓他們可以認識社區。因為香港 不同社區都有美好的一面。
The training does not only let us get to know more about the community, its team building session also helps us to make new friends. It also equips us the communication techniques! We are so happy to share the lesser-known parts of the community to others as there are beautiful stories of each neighbourhood in Hong Kong.
