MIRACLE WORKING GOD "God is not in the business of doing the miraculous simply to amaze and astound people."

Christians believe in a miracle-working God. Since, He is the sovereign Creator of the physical universe and the natural laws by which it operates. We believe that, there is no obstacle to His intervening in the course of world history to do spectacular, out of the ordinary things which defy natural explanations.

Therefore, God can do miracles if it pleases Him to do so.

Miracles have a purpose. God is not in the business of doing the miraculous simply to amaze and astound people. Jesus refused to perform miracles to satisfy people’s curiosity. Instead, miracles are to confirm the authority of those sent by God and to testify the truth of the revelation they bring.

Although, God ultimately stands behind all that happens, supernatural agents other than God can perform miracles. A miraculous event can even come from Satan to lead people astray. If a miracle is performed that encourages us to abandon authentic biblical truth and the gospel.

We have to reject it.

On other occasions, they are used together in the phrase "signs and wonders" (Exodus 7:3; Psalm 135:9;Acts 2:22,43;4:30;2:12;6:8). Sometimes one text describes a miraculous event as a sign and other text describes the same event as a wonder.

The description of miracles as signs and wonders tell us something about both the nature and purpose of miracles.

One of the Christian philosopher Norman Geisler puts it: From the human vantage point a miracle, then, is an unusual event (wonder) that conveys and confirms an unusual message (sign) by means of unusual power. From the Divine vantage point of a miracle is an act of God that attracts the attention of God's people (wonder) to the Word of God (by a sign).

Every miracle in the Bible begins with a problem and a need. Before He fed the five thousand, Jesus was moved with compassion when He saw a multitude of people who were like sheep without a shepherd (Mark 6:34).

When the Bible speaks of the miracles. It usually characterizes them as signs and wonders. And sometimes these two terms are used separately when describing miracles (Exodus 4:1-8; 11:9; John 2:11;11:47;20:30)

DECISION MAKING

All people need to make the right decisions.

The decision-making process begins when a person identifies the real problem. If the problem is inaccurately defined, every step in the decision-making process will be based on an incorrect starting point.

The most troubling situations found in an organization or to some people is that, they can usually be identified as symptoms of underlying problems. Such signs indicate that something is wrong with an organization or a person, but they don't identify root causes.

A successful manager doesn't just attack signs; he works to uncover the factors that cause these signs. All people need to make the right decisions. Therefore, in order to be good people in making good decisions, we need to have the ideal resources— information, time, personnel, equipment, and supplies — and identify any limiting factors.

Realistically, many people operate in the environment that normally doesn't provide ideal resources. And because of that we mostly choose to satisfice in order to make the right decision possible with the information, resources, and time available. Time pressures frequently cause a person to move forward after considering only the first or most obvious answers.

Successful problem solving requires a thorough examination of the challenge, and a quick answer may not result in a permanent solution.

Thus, a person should think through and investigate several alternative solutions to a single problem before making a quick decision.

GIVING AND HELPING

DON'T GIVE IN ORDER TO GET A SPECIAL TREATMENT FROM PEOPLE WHOM YOU HELP. Dear readers of The Guide Online Magazine, some people are slaves for someone because they have helped them in their lives. In life, we oftentimes passing through hard times and therefore we are in our spotlight to look for help from our best friends and relatives in order to help us to get away from such disasters.

But the problem comes when people whom we seek for help turns to be demigods or acting like they have attained divine status.

Many people help us in order to keep us in their territories and expecting something in return. People become slaves even of their own opinions or views. You can not speak anything in front of the person who helped you.

This means that even if a person speaks rubbish or acts rude you have to support his or her foolishness.

Don't help a person with intention to enslave or make them loose their rights to argue differently.

Giving is an expected part of being a follower of Jesus Christ. Our Lord Jesus Christ is reminding us about our motives for forgiving. He says that we should never do our giving in order to be seen and subsequently to be praised by others. In other words, we do not give because of what we might get in return —like others thinking more highly of us or paying us compliments, or to receive some special treatment.

"Don't give in order to get a special treatment from people whom you help. Give and love because it is part of your Christian values."

MOTHERHOOD As a blessing

When I see my mother and my wife am blessed for their efforts being a mother.

Motherhood is not an easy thing but is a blessing. When women are mothers, God gives them a powerful source of joy, responsibility, spiritual growth, and a lifelong journey as one who guides another life.

Scripture calls us to honor our parents. We can thank our mothers for their influence and live by in the way that pleases the Lord.

Seek ways to bless them through the words and actions thereof.

Being a mother is one of today’s greatest challenges.

Yet countless women continue to excel in the daily effort to guide and nurture their children.

The story of Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist, offers unique insights into some of God’s blessings for mothers.

When she became pregnant after years of infertility, she said: “The Lord has done this for me,” she said. “In these days He has shown His favor and taken away my disgrace among the people” (Luke 1:25). From her perspective, becoming a mother was a blessing, calling it God’s favor.

THE PSYCHOLOGY OF LOVE AND HATE LOVE AND HATE CAN'T LIVE TOGETHER. Love and hate can't stay in the same room. Because the psychology of these two is that, each one tends to dominate the person. That is to say, when a person is in love, the love dominates that person until that person becomes blind to the facts that he or she can't see anything wrong with that person.

And you can't fake it: because you will never fake a thing which dominates you.

In nut shell, hate and love, each one has its sources and its effects. Love is from God and hate is from the Devil. In love there is life and in hate there is destruction. Let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

When a person hates, hates also blinds the person to the level, whereby a person can't see anything good to that person. That is why we say, love and hate can't stay or live in the same room, in these facts, there is no half of love or hate.

Movie Reviews

To be a good dad is a good thing in life. After watching this movie. I was very inspired to be a good dad to my kid and also to the family. Courageous is a fantastic, remarkable, and inspiring film.

This film projects themes of forgiveness, stepping up to fill the proper role of being a dad (and parent) and a faith in God that cannot be shaken. In one nicely orchestrated scene, a certain character is out of work and desperate. While he was praying he walked right into a miracle.

You will have to see it to appreciate it.

This movie gives us great lines to ponder like, “God doesn’t promise us an explanation, but to walk with us through the pain.�

Dear friends, the story in the film is inspiring and it can help us to learn many things in our lives as Christians.

FASHIONS. Let Fashion be your servant not your master.

It isn't wrong to wear nice things. It isn't wrong for a Christian to be fashionable or operate in the world of fashion.

Fashion should never become an idol in our lives. The fashion industry and its products should not be something we worship. The vicissitudes of the fashion world reflect the fleeting nature of the world in general: “The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever� (1 John 2:17).

We live in this world but we are not of this world. We must shine a light for Christ. Fashions that require us to set Christ and His Word to the side, even momentarily, should be avoided.

We are living in the world, whereby the desire for revenge is often motivated.

We revenge when we have been wronged in a natural human response.

When we're prompted to seek revenge, it's often out of a sense of fairness.

THE RIVER PHILOSOPHY

WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND OUR PURPOSE. The philosophy was revealed by Socrates, Nachiketas, and Siddhartha to enhance the conception of human life with a sense of purpose, sense of end, and a sense of present respectively. The river has a beginning, and end, it always lives in the present, it has a variety of characteristics and indeed a sense of purpose too.

As the water flows through the river, it may reach a point where it gets branched out into two with one path leading to the waterfall. In real life too, sometimes we meet problems or challenges which we indicate to them as rocks, trees, or mountains. Also, we start to negotiates or please our problems, challenges, or people who are causing us to get problems. We need to understand our purpose, to have a sense of present respectively.

CRITICAL THINKING.

Critical thinking is "thinking about thinking". It is a way of deciding if a claim is true, false, or sometimes true and sometimes false, or partly true and partly false. It can be split into two important areas, Logical Fallacies and Cognitive Bias.

Critical thinking is simply the skill of pressing certain questions further to understand and evaluate an idea or argument.

It is the opposite of evaluating an idea simply by our emotions or allowing our thinking to be driven by the media or groupthink. It is accepting the personal responsibility to not be taken “captive” but to evaluate all ideas through the lens of Christ, the One in whom we are to walk.
