01 The Pul

National Rail Museum museum re-design Group of two location Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, India discription This representation of my 5th-semester work focused on a re-design using linear and geometric forms like train engines. To create an experience for the visitors which helps them to be a part of the museum itself, they can be visually connected to the outdoors as well as indoors of the gallery while experiencing it through different perspectives and views.

ground floor plan The site is located in Shanti Path, Near Bhutan Embassy, it had a railway line going from south, a slum in western part of the site, Bhutan Embassy on north-west and an over bridge on the east side, the entrance to the site is from north. With total site area of 45000m sq this project is re-designed with the concept of “Within And Without” i.e. the feeling of being in open with literally being there. All the spaces are arranged in hierarchy and there are elements connecting them all.

Museum has two parts, indoor with small miniture exhibits and life size outdoor exhibits. Outdoor exhibits are differentiated on the based of gauge i.e. narrow and mixed. Mixed has small and medium gauge.

All the gauges have different turning radius thus the tracks are laid accordingly.

02 shubh-aash residence design location Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, India discription The following is a quick look into my semester 3rd project which focused on a minimal design inspired from vernacular approach to the architecture design of a residence for my family satisfying the needs of all, with sufficient light and ventilation for all the spaces. The project utilizes local materials to ensure sustainability in the design.

form development and concept Fractal Geometry A fractal is a never ending or infinite pattern, fractals are infinitely complex patterns that are selfsimilar resulting due to iterations across different scales.

Organic patterns in design are complementing the natural landscape of the site.

Strategies for mitigating Urban Heat Island effect in residential streets of Ahmedabad and New Delhi Abstrat The Urban Heat Island (UHI) in cities presents a looming challenge for humanity in the coming decade, more severe by uncontrolled urbanization and an escalating trend of concreting in urban areas. This research aims to understand the impact of orientation, ground cover, street geometry, etc of urban residential streets.

This study presents an extensive analysis of qualitative and quantitative studies on the Urban Heat Island (UHI) impact on Delhi’s urban residential streets, including Taimoor Nagar, Zakir Nagar, and New Friends Colony. The research also includes areas in Ahmedabad such as Radha Swamy Road, Bhakti Nagar, and MK Gandhi Marg. The studied parameters considered average radiant temperature, wind speed, and wind direction, which were identified as the most significant climatic factors.

Air temperature (TA), relative humidity (RH%), and Wet bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) data were recorded in different locations of the study area characterized by different urban residential street morphology on a typical warm day. Real-time data was gathered using heat stress meter and environmental meter,the outdoor thermal comfort indices: Mean Radiant Temperature(Tmrt), Universal Thermal Climate Index (UTCI), Discomfort Index(DI) and Heat Index(HI) were calculated. Computer simulation on ladybug-Rhino was used to validate the results obtained via primary data.

The results of the study establish a clear relationship between urban residential streets and outdoor thermal comfort. This will help in establishing new development control rules for enhancing outdoor thermal comfort in urban residential streets which will further contribute to cities. Based on Indices of outdoor thermal comfort, Bhakti Nagar, Ahmedabad, Compact Low-Rise (LCZ 3) was the best-performing street among all the streets included in the study.
