Welcome, The following is the Subrosa Brand 2014 1st ordering period pre-book. For some of you this will be a refresher in all the new goods you saw from us at Interbike, and for some of you this will be an whole new world. A big focus for this year was our frame line up. We set out to really improve our line, while at the same time developing ideas, and ways to reduce price. Listening to the team about what they wanted, we took that info and turned our R&D department loose to pick apart the frame building process and come up with ways to save money by reducing the amount of non-performance based features and focusing on spec that will enhance your ride. The 2014 frame line up is my favorite to date, and you will notice a significant reduce in price in many of our most popular frames. Subrosa will continue to support the ones who support us, so we are continuing our “Limited Edition Guest Colorways”. The frames will be release one ordering period at a time with the first being Raphael JeromaWilliams and the Villicus Prime II. We will continue this throughout the year with Joris Coulomb, and Nick Bullen. We’re continuing to release new categories like our War on Theft lock series, and we’ve added rims and complete wheels, and an amazing sprocket guard to our arsenal. VILLICUS PRIME II FRAME Hoang Tran Signature Model The longest running frame in the Subrosa line up just got better; again. Spec wise Hoang wanted more pop out of his bike, so we shortened the rear end to 13.5, 13.25 fully slammed. We also added our new custom Subrosa cast seat stay bridge so you can rock the Subrosa logo loud and proud! THUNDERBEAST FRAME Scott Ditchburn Signature Model We completely redesigned Scott’s signature Balum frame, and the Thunderbeast was born. We kept all the features that made the Balum so dependable while removing some of the features that didn’t help with the function of the bike to reduce cost. NOSTER II FRAME Simone Barraco Signature model Simone did some fine tuning of his wildly popular Subrosa Noster frame to create the Noster II. This frame caters to the tech street riding that he is known for. Simone wanted a slightly steeper headtube so we adjusted it to 75.5° and we made the dropouts smaller to fit flush with small diameter pegs so the won’t bend or hang up during grinds. BRAKE MOUNT KIT In 2014 Subrosa will no longer include the brakes mounts with the frames. We made this decision due to the fact of the brakeless culture in BMX â&#x20AC;&#x201C; most of the brake mounts were not being put to use and just add an extra cost. By not including the mounts, we are able to pass the savings on to you. The frames will include the seat post bolt and chain adjustor bolts as needed. You will need to order the brakes mounts kit separately. They are interchangeable and the same spec for each frame. The kit includes brake mounts ( 2 piece style), split cable stop, barrel adjustor and custom Subrosa Cable Strap.

BATTLE FORKS With today’s riding, it’s safe to say that forks take the most abuse on a bike. Not only do they need to handle front, back and side to side impacts, but when you strap two pegs to them you add a whole new level of twisting, bending and drop out abuse. The Subrosa Battle forks can handle it all! Built with a huge “King” size, 38mm, crown to provide a massive welding area for the fork legs and no cut out to resist any hairline cracks from forming. NOSTER BARS

A fan of having tall bars, but not into the ungodly width usually associated with 8.75” bars? Subrosa pro rider Simone Barraco agrees. So he knew right away he wanted them 28” wide. That way he wouldn’t have to cut them down, and ride with that annoying feeling of your hands being on the bends. This was achieved by using the box size of an 8.5” bar. Simone is also a fan of sweep, so his bars feature a super comfortable 10° backsweep, and 3° upsweep.

HIGH LIFE STEM The upload stem design has traditionally been used by trail riders and racers to give them a much taller, more stable feeling front end. We’ve noticed a huge increase in the amount of street riders running this stem for the same benefits, but there are only long versions available in the market, so the rider is still more stretched out over the front end. We’ve made the Subrosa High Life stem in a 50mm reach to give today’s riders the benefits of an upload stem with a shorter reach to allow the rider to be less stretched out, and actually more upright which will help with hops and front end tricks.

Subrosa rider Nick Bullen filled us in on everything he loves and hates about his current and past sprocket guards, and we addressed every issue. SHRED SPROCKET The Shred Sprocket is built to do just that: Shred! This is an inexpensive answer to a fully machined sprocket. Instead of machining a huge block of aluminum in a bunch of costly steps, the Shred Sprocket is forged from a 5mm thick 6061-T6 Aluminum plate, and then CNCâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;d smooth to clean up the look. TURBO RIMS The Subrosa Turbo Rims are sick! To start we knew we wanted a wider rim, but not so wide that brakes donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t function correctly, so we went 34mm wide. This width will allow wide tires to reach their maximum width, and leave the brake calibers with enough leverage to grab on. With a focus on strength and weight, we shortened the height of the sidewalls, to resist dents and side to side weakness and moved that material to the center of the rim where the spoke holes are to eliminate the problem of spokes pulling through.
