Base Operations Updated: Aug 2012
Canadian natural says its third ore preparation plant, now fully operational, is contributing to safe, steady and reliable operations. The staged expansion to 250,000 barrels per day continues to progress on track, although Canadian natural has reduced its 2012 project capital for Horizon by $330 million to $1.55 billion. The company says this is a result of overall cost reductions and strategic deferrals to achieve greater cost certainty.
