Cactus’s musical aspirations began in South London, England where he was schooled in writing by his close friend Mr. Lopez and a South London Hip Hop outfit called the Nappy Clinch Clan.

Living in and around London’s African and Jamaican Community gave Cactus, as he says, a better understanding of who he was and what he represented. In 2001, Cactus became part of a Zambian Based Hip-Hop label called Cypher Music for a year and this saw his debut appearance onto the Zambian music scene. Not long after that, he sought out the producers for his album, “Bush Territory” and his search led him to top producers and proprietors of Kula Music.

Relentless in his performance, Cactus has been busy working with artist’s on the international and local scene, artist’s such as Hugh Masekela, Mirriam Makeba, P-Square,Joe Angels, Mr. Switcher and more recently Jamaican musician Luciano when he came to Zambia for shows.

Given the name ‘The philosopher” by the music fraternity because his songs always reveal spiritual insight, deeper life philosophy and an understanding of the power of love, it is clear to see and hear that Cactus was born to do what he does and his lyrical content and style sets him apart from any other artist’s. ting creative content in their lyrics and working hard on vocals and instruments.

ALBUM LAUNCH His album launch for his latest album entitled “The African Dream” was held at Club Zed, a popular hang out spot in Lusaka. The show started with some features of up-coming artist’s, Some of the artist’s lip synched as usual which is very annoying as people pay for a live concert and do not want hear an artist mime! But the majority of artist’s actually performed live which was great!
