Olivia Meredith, THE LITTLE FLOWER SHOP | ‘This image reflects my love of curating flowers, selecting each flower for its own beauty and individual merit and how they all work together to create a beautiful arrangement or bouquet. I hand-selected these flowers from the flower markets for their beautiful, romantic qualities and, set against the wall near my shop, the overall effect looks as though I’m walking down the streets of Mexico or Marrakesh. In my shop I craft my display by colour and shape, so each type of flower can be showcased and walking into the store is a visual and sensual feast.’

Danielle Lalchere, OTTER & OPAL | ‘I’ve always loved to dress up and create extravagant makeup for festivals and costume parties, and was inspired by Winter Magic to hone my technique and source quality supplies to make sturdy yet beautiful headpieces fit for any festival-goer or out-there bride. Using my Diploma in Commercial Photography, makeup skills and the beautiful backdrop of the Blue Mountains, I’m spreading fawn love and bringing Otter & Opal to life.’

Trish Carter, BLUE MOUNTAINS FLORAL DESIGNS | ‘When the theme ‘fantasy florals’ came to me, the first thing that sprung to mind was faeries and angels. I was so excited because I feel the world needs the opportunity to stop and think about how life can be magical if you slow down and see the beauty in small things. The wings represent my artistic freedom and creativity, which is really coming of age in my thirteenth year of floristry. I now understand the styles I love, how to portray them and how to have so much fun crafting my designs.’ Hair & makeup: Paul Bedggood. Dress: Studio C Bridal.

A beautiful, rustic wedding bouquet featuring the king protea as centrepiece, with coin gum, leucadendron, wild flowers, sea holly, roses and the bride’s favourite — sunflowers.’

Maddy Searle & Jacqui Chan, WILD BLUE STUDIO |‘We wanted to put a new spin on the bright and cheerful fl oral arrangements that complement spring, so we looked at non-traditional fl owers for our bouquet. Orchids, calla lilies, anthurium and paper daisies are a great alternative to the norm, plus they last. We also recycled some dried palm by spraying it to bring in those textural elements that we love, then threw in some native billy buttons, and voila… Pure happy colour with a twist.’
