When Hartley man Sam Hayden decided Meredith Warren was the woman he wanted to share the rest of his life with, he declared his intentions by taking out a full-page ad in the Blue Mountains Gazette.

“Last September, Sam took me for breakfast at Echoes Restaurant in Katoomba and asked the waiter to bring the Gazette over for me to read. I was flicking through and there was Sam’s ad, asking me to marry him,” recalls Meredith, who instantly replied with a resounding ‘Yes’. “I decided to propose to Meredith in such a special way because she is such a special person,” says Sam. “There is nothing I wouldn’t do for Meredith and I wanted all of our friends who read the Gazette to share in this very special day in my life.” Read Meredith and Sam’s True Love story in our next issue, due out on 14 February 2019.
