The small town of Torrao appears desolate nowadays, with a large number of young people leaving and the population is decreasing. The main reason is that in the past decade , due to the rapid industrialization, local agricultural products have been taken over by surrounding factories, which will limit the original industrial development in the town. There is a lack of job opportunities in the town, which cannot create economic benefits, and the young generation are unwilling to stay in the town.
During our trip in Torrao, we found that the traditional olive oil production was once a popular means of industrial output and characteristic products in the local area. Revitalizing the characteristic industry is beneficial for attracting tourists and revitalizing the local industry.
So can we connect new technological processes with the language of architeciture, showcase the highlights of traditional olive oil production through building volume, and become an educational and demonstrative new olive oil tourism base, attracting nearby tourists to visit and experience, while also providing certain job opportunities to the local area, ultimately creating a landmark building to activate the withered industry status.

Collage of Current Situation in Torrao
Olive oil is rich in nutrients, which can prevent diseases such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and is loved by people in Portugal and Europe. At the same time, there are large olive tree planting areas around the village.
Due to the development of modernization, olives produced by olive trees around the village are sent to large mature olive farms in the surrounding area, and small olive factories in the village are gradually being replaced.
We can connect the new process flow with the language of architecture, showcase the highlights of traditional olive oil production through building volume, and become an educational and demonstrative new olive oil tourism base Portuguese Olive Oil Industry

Commercial building renovation at Orchard, Singapore
Green design, as one of Singapore's business cards, has a profound impact on sustainable development and environmental protection. Singapore is integrating green design into urban planning and building construction, promoting the widespread use of efficient building materials and energy-saving technologies. Through these efforts, Singapore has not only created a unique urban landscape, but also set an example for global sustainable development.
Far East Square in Singapore was once an iconic commercial complex in the city center, blending modern architecture with traditional cultural elements and attracting many businesses and merchants. However over time, this project gradually revealed its outdated appearance. The infrastructure and environmental design inside the building failed to keep up with modern office demands and consumer expectations, resulting in a decline in performance. With the rapid development of Singapore's urban renewal and commercial real estate market, the Far East Business Centre urgently needs large-scale renovation and renewal to maintain its position in fierce competition.
Integrating green design into the renovation of the Far East Business Center is a practical and significant choice. As an old building, the renovation of Far East Commercial Center is an ideal opportunity. Can we introduce green design concepts through architectural design methods to effectively improve its energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and enhance its market appeal?

Cosmopolitanism and its dynamism are usually associated with urban life; by contrast, rural life is often seen as static, incoherent and monocultural. China's rapid urbanisation over the past two decades has led to rural decline, out-migration, deteriorating living standards and disappearing rural communities. However, through the daily negotiation of cultural differences, the emerging rural migrant community that has experienced and lived cosmopolitanism in the host city has been transformed. The village of Xihui, located on the north side of Chenghu Lake, experienced migration towards urbanisation in the 20th century, and is now a communal space where the elderly and young tenants live together.
In addition, Xixu is also a village with strong agricultural development, so it is possible to rethink the traditional agriculture of the area by using the efficiency and concentration of modern agriculture, amplify the characteristics of water village agriculture in the area with new devices, and promote the water village culture outwardly as an activation point in order to arouse people's attention to the water village culture, improve the level of economic development of the local area, and inherit the heritage of the water villages
Through the creation of an agricultural learning centre, it will become a space for crop cultivation that can serve local farmers and allow young people to regain their interest in agriculture. Through innovative agricultural experimental installations people can be more exposed to agricultural knowledge and saving the disappearing water town
By combining installations and building spaces, agricultural production efficiency is greatly accelerated, while showcasing the characteristics of aquatic agriculture Users can leverage their strengths within the building and collaborate with each other to provide new creative ideas for water agriculture.
In the process of plant growth, buildings are gradually covered with crops, and the outside world also begins to understand water agriculture. Xixu Village welcomes the activation of water agriculture.
In the normal countryside it is often the locals who do all the growing in the water village on their own, but the addition of rural schools and research laboratories can give new strength to traditional farming, through research and experimentation more efficient growing methods and plant varieties can be obtained, while passing this knowledge on to local students and farmers.
Not only that, but the work of the students and the local agricultural harvest can be presented to visitors in new ways. In this way, a new system can bring agriculture to life with guaranteed output and bringmore attention to the agricultural features of the waterfront in order to inject more new energy.
The organisation of the plans is mainly reflected in the multiple flow lines and interactive contacts that give a clear process to the agricultural production process.
The inclusion of tourists and students is encouraged in the production of agricultural processes by locals, the exchange between locals and outsiders, while realising the functional needs of each user.
AGRICULTURE PLUG-IN DEVICES DESIGN
A large number of agricultural facilities are designed to be "embedded" within the gaps and spaces of the building blocks, and new technologies are applied inside the buildings to increase the output efficiency of water village agriculture.
These agricultural facilities have multiple planting functions and introduce fun and experiential elements to water village agriculture, offering non-local people the opportunity to experience agricultural planting while increasing the output of water village agriculture.

Elysium of Popmart
Complex in urban, Suzhou
Guy Debord (1967), in his book Spectacle Society, states that the spectacle is an institutional facility of social class domination, an ideology, derived from the reality of the social situation. It has the power to control and guide people's own thoughts, and the many forms of existence of the landscape are exposed to people's view and exist in the periphery of people's lives.
As the construction of spectacle becomes more and more convenient, the power of capital controls most of the spectacle and presents them in different perspectives of the society. The public's lack of judgement of the language of images in the media makes it easy for them to become immersed in this environment and achieve what capital wants to achieve: consumption. The present scene of Anfu Road is a glittering stage created by the capital's domination of various aspects of the spectacle.
Elysium of Popmart uses the popular blind-box toy as a metaphor, and uses the architectural space and flow to translate the logic of the landscape under the control of capital, thus expressing the irony of the social dominance of consumerism in the spectacle as well as the Netflix culture, and triggering people's rethinking of Anfu Road.
ELYSIUM OF POP MART
RETHINKING THE ANFU ROAD: DECONSTRUCTING THE OPERATION OF SPECTACLE SOCIETY BEHIND CONSUMERISM
MANIFESTO
As the construction of Spectacle is more and more convenient, landscapes from different perspectives of society are presented, and the power of capital controls most of the landscape. The public lacks the judgment of image language for spectacle, which makes them easy to immerse themselves in this environment and realize the purpose that capital wants to achieve - namely consumerism. The "Internet celebrity" scene in Anfu Road is now a shining stage created by capital under the leadership of many aspects of landscape.
In the "Spectacle society", due to the lack of external images to criticize the images within the system, such criticism can only be hoped for in the image critical thinking of the audience itself. Once the audience lacks the image critical thinking based on the mastery of image language, the fate of the rest is only to accept and be wrapped up by ideological images.Unfortunately, most people are still immersed in the hotbed laid by the landscape and continue to engage in crazy consumption.
Can architecture serve as a medium to translate the operation logic of landscape under the control of capital with space and streamline, so as to express the irony of the landscape society's leading consumerism and the Internet celebrity culture, and trigger people's rethinking of Anfu Road?

The homogenisation of the social structure is accompanied by an accelerated homogenisation of the urban space in which daily life takes place, under the top-down influence of the will to power. The thickness of history and society has been eradicated, and both the spatial and social landscapes have been flattened. In the process of development of the historical districts, the historical street life is often closed and shelved or eradicated.
The reason for this is that we live in a utilitarian society, which by definition seeks our productivity, our "utility", and in which we are not able to utilise our creativity. The main idea behind it is to destroy the landscape of a society with all the mental constraints of waking up, going to work, coming home, waiting for the weekend and then repeating the process.
As time goes by, people's demand for quality of life continues to rise, buildings are becoming dilapidated, and with the expiry of the 70-year property rights, the community is about to face new challenges.
Architecture can be based on a contemporary typology, supported by a new formal language to achieve the preservation of the efficiency of today's life, while at the same time reinventing the destroyed neighbourhood courtyard life, so that people can get rid of the repetitive and monotonous formulaic life, and deepen people's perception of the neighbourhood relationship. Different building types can address the different functional needs of the residents and increase their sense of belonging to the site.

GOLDEN AGE: 2022
The system of public areas and residential areas are intertwined with each other, and vertical corridors give efficiency to the site. Different areas of the public circulation allow for different functional experiences. In the centre of the site there is a centripetal colony where people can meet, talk and watch exhibitions. At the entrance this part of the pedestrian street can attract tourists to come in to see and bring new power to the interior of the site.
The courtyard space is interspersed within the residential area, connected by corridors suspended in the air. This section shows people's daily lives at different heights in the residential system, where they can enjoy a new courtyard life by living in different alleys
This analysis shows how homes and courtyards are interspersed in residential neighbourhoods, with varying relationships of screening and height maximising the retention of people's courtyard activities while maintaining residential density, and allowing for more intimate contact with the site.
The communal areas are shown in a sequence of journeys, allowing for the different functions of the residents and encouraging people to move through the streets, corresponding to the public areas in the Gusu bustle map.
The site is divided into different types according to the different groups of people in the site, and different house types are designed according to their needs. The residential area is divided into four different types of units, and the windows and ventilation of the original house types have been changed according to the different orientations of the house types, so that they can have good lighting and ventilation even in different orientations.
CENTRAL PARK
The functional areas arranged in different ways on the street create a centripetal social space, organically connecting scattered residential areas. Different functional areas can also gather people with similar interests, providing them with more opportunities for communication.
MULTI-LEVEL COURTYARD
By deconstructing and reshaping courtyard typology, residential areas have superimposed different types of courtyard systems vertically to meet the needs of high-density living in contemporary Suzhou, becoming a three-dimensional courtyard community. People can use modern technology to experience the past courtyard life in different heights and depths
Metaverse Server
METAVERSE SERVER integrates virtual and real spaces to enable a multi-identity Metaverse lifestyle and to make possible new hybrid physical-virtual senses by shaping new types of spaces and space-services.
The project addresses the future spaces of Shenzhen, a global metropolis that is seeing rapid development of science and technology, and predicts pervasive digitization by 2050. Production based on human labor will be largely replaced by technology, resulting in a significant increase in production efficiency.
Meanwhile, human production activities will be driven by both technology and creativity, resulting in pervasive embedded technology in all aspects of work and life. The boundary between virtual and real becomes blurred, with time, space and identity simultaneously fragmenting and integrating. Long-distance and cross-time collaboration and exchange become the key to achieving high work productivity as well as increased quality of life. The metaverse now offers an alternative to spatial extension.
AR Technology enters architectural space
Life in Shenzhen in 2050
With increasing automation, production based on human labor will be largely replaced by technology to improve production efficiency. Meanwhile, human production activities will be driven by both technology and creativity, resulting in pervasive embedded technology in all aspects of work and life. By 2050, the boundary between virtual and real has become blurred, with time, space and identity becoming both fragmented and integrated. Long-distance and cross-time coolaboration and exchange becomes the key to achieving high productivity.
Web 3.0 began the development of machine-readable content and enabled the integration of data, knowledge, and applications to enable use of the Web as a collaborative platform; Web 4.0 will harness the power of human and machine intelligence on a ubiguitous Meb, where both people and computers not onlyinteract, but also reason and assist each other in smart ways.
The Metaverse will feature interlinked physical and virtual spaces, with virtualspaces replacing some functionsof physical spaces. Physical private living spaces become more simple and eficient. Diverse individual demands on encounter and entertainment will require an increasing amount of public space becoming closely linked tovirtual space. One of the most innovative characteristics of fragmentation is that multiple identities integrate social media into travel to reinventsocial interaction. Virtual andphysical sensory experiences mutually enhance each other inall aspects of daily life.

The Metaverse Server proposes a form of high-rise development as an ecological high-tech vertical community, offering spaces for realizing new types of education, healthcare, housing, and as yet undefined future visions.
NEW HOUSING & SERVICE SYSTEM
In the Metaverse Server’s “served space”, people can simultaneously experience physical and virtual space enabled by the sloping spaces of simulated deserts, mountains and other types of terrain in both shared and individually chosen experiences.
Infinite Matrix
The project is a kinetic facade that tries to include passive design feature by the geometry. We have envisioned a façade system that can control the amount of sunlight and wind entering the interior by changing the three-dimensional composition of the façade. Its activity mode can flexibly control the solar radiation and air volume inside the building.
At the same time, we also created a 1:10 physical model, which is mainly composed of carbonated polyester board and wood materials. The designed electrical system is also installed on the physical model to simulate the real performance of the Infinite Matrix on the building.
Buildings along the Huangpu River in Shanghai often receive excessive light and sufficient ventilation, the large area of glass façade requires excessive cooling energy consumption inside the building. Meanwhile, the unopened glass facade also wastes a large amount of wind resources along the Huangpu River.
