The first issue of Junior Style Talents Magazine showcases young talent from the USA in beautifully styled fashion-forward editorials.

For the Junior Style Talents American Edition, we have collaborated with fashion and advertising photographer Olesja Mueller who is also now part of the Junior Style Talents team and is overseeing the creative direction, as well as being the lead photographer for the magazine.

In each issue we will be sharing not only talented models but children and teens who are also talented in sport, the arts – music, acting, dance, design – or who are creative.

These young people are our future. Follow their journey with us.

Who inspires you? "Theodore Roosevelt inspires me because he was a great president and did amazing work as a conservationist and naturalist. I go to a charter school that focuses on nature and the environment, so those things are really important to me. I love learning about what Mr Roosevelt did to promote the conservation movement and to expand our national park system. I even dressed up as him for Halloween one year when I was younger! My family also inspires me because they have supported me my whole life in everything I do, and I am so thankful for them!"

One interesting fact about you: "I love wearing funny and wacky socks. I wear them every day! My favourite ones have corgis on them - I love corgis and hope to have one someday!"

Talent: Actor Talented actor and model Braden Crothers is in the 7th Grade and enjoys social studies and science. In his spare time Braden loves singing, tap dancing, reading, watching YouTube and learning about animals. Braden wants to pursue a career in acting or become a zoologist as he would like to work with primates. Braden's favourite acting job to date is his role as Gavroche in a production of Les Miserables as "It was such a fun and cool experience, and I got to die on stage!"

Currently, I’m very excited to be studying with Adrian R’Mante but my initial inspirational actors are Jim Carey, Will Smith, Robert Downey Jr., Gal Gadot, Emma Watson, Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, Scarlett Johansson and Rebel Wilson.

Talent: Actor Hunter's goal is to become a successful actress. Acting has been a passion of Hunter's from a young age and she loves any opportunity to express herself on camera. Whether it’s live or digital, "I absolutely love it!"

Hunter is very active and plays volleyball twice a week and is an equestrian jumper. "With my commitment to my horse, I also show in the Jumpers division and belong to USHJA (United States Hunter Jumper Association). I’m very grateful for my horse, Viking Du Perron 'Viking'. He’s a rock star."

Hunter enjoys attending school and is a proud member of NJHS, the National Junior Honor Society.

MACKENZIE Name: Mackenzie Reece Rogers Age: 13 years old Instagram: @mackenziereecerogers Location: Aynor, SC, USA Favourite subject at school: Science Who inspires you? "First responders, sacrificing when no-one else will.

Fun fact: Mackenzie is the eldest of three sisters Talent: Model Thirteen-year-old Mackenzie Reece Rogers is a member of her school's chorus club and loves performing at singing events at school functions and community events. Mackenzie would love to study fashion design or photography. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and going on beach trips where she loves looking for seashells and shark teeth, and, like any other teenage girl, she loves talking on the phone with her friends.

Mackenzie adores modelling and taking part in pageants.

Why do you attend pageants? Mackenzie loves pageantry because of all of the great people that she meets and the friends that she makes. Mackenzie is the former 2021 USA Elite Miss National Queen. During her reign as queen, she developed a sisterhood that was like no other and she got to make a difference in the lives of others by learning to be a giver and experience the joy that comes from working for charitable causes. Pageantry is where Mackenzie’s love for service work began. Pageantry develops young girls’ selfconfidence and teaches them to always set goals for themselves and to never stop growing as a person.

Her service work/hobbies consist of collecting items for the local nursing homes as well as families that have been hit by devastations and collecting food for food drives. She also collects plastic bottle caps for an organisation that melts them down to make “Buddy Benches” for playgrounds. These benches are designated as a safe place for troubled children to go to signal that they need help or someone to talk to. She also raises money for the St Jude organisation.

Recently, we had the opportunity to interview the incredible model, actress and philanthropist Mychal-Bella.

Mychal-Bella was featured in The Underground Railroad TV series and more recently nominated in the Emmy’s for her role as Fanny Briggs.

We talk about everything from Longboarding to her billboard in Times Square.

Mychal-Bella, we know you are an actress, model and philanthropist, but for the readers please could you tell us a bit more about what you do?

Something that I do that most people don't know about me is that I have been reading since I was three and love books. I love to play sports and enjoy longboarding, soccer, swimming, basketball and bodysurfing, and I’m pretty good at them too!

You have achieved a lot at such a young age. Most recently you were nominated for an Emmy for your role as Fanny Briggs.

How did you feel when you were nominated and what was the after party like?

When I found out we were nominated, I was shocked, excited, and honoured! Even though I always dreamt about having a role in an Emmy-nominated show, I never thought that it would come true at such an early age, and definitely not seven nominations! The whole cast and crew celebrated and the pre-party was a blast! I got to meet a lot of new people who supported our project and even saw a couple of cast mates, which was great. The whole thing was quite surreal!

What was your first acting role and when did you decide that acting was your passion?

I am pretty sure that my first acting role ever was Togetherness on HBO. I was about five years old when I booked that job and we had just moved to LA! Acting is a gift I believe I was given and I think I have always known that I wanted to be an actress and by gaining the roles as a young child, I think it has pushed me to love the craft more. What was it like working with the one and only Tyler Perry on Have and Have Nots?

Tyler Perry was so cool and fun to work with. On set we got things done pretty quickly because everyone knew their role, and the food was great... soul food. I will always remember Tyler Perry because he gave me my first big speaking role on a prime-time TV series.

Moving onto modelling, when did you decide you wanted to become a model and why?

I started modelling when I was two years old. So, approximately for nine years. That's a long time for a mere preteen! I guess you can say I started my career young. Just like acting, I fell in love with modelling and the rest is HERstory!

What was your first major modelling shoot?

My first major shoot was for H&M. I remember my mom being so happy about the booking because we shopped there frequently.

I worked on the campaign shortly after we moved to California.

I had a big lifesize poster and the same poster was on every storefront.

You recently shot a campaign for Gap and feature on a huge billboard in Times Square. What was your reaction when you first saw yourself on one of the huge billboards?

I was speechless when I saw that I was on a HUGE billboard in Times Square but not just one, ...it was two and so good! Seeing my supporters, family and friends going to see it made it even more memorable. Definitely one for the diary.

We have noticed that you are involved in a number of different philanthropy projects. Could you tell us a bit more?

Yes, philanthropy is dear to my heart. My humanitarian journey started with my very first modelling gig where I modelled for an international children's brand that advocates for educational literacy. From this, I began to donate my gently used toys to charities and that was the beginning of my philanthropy journey!

My mom wanted me to embrace every opportunity. To be a thoughtful, considerate and compassionate person. It is important to me to use my voice and position to help others. Mom has always wanted my career to be built on substance and quality, not quantity.

Making a difference and impacting lives is what we all should all aspire to do when possible. To see the smiles and hope on the faces of others is rewarding for all.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?

In ten years, I’ll never know what exactly will happen but I do know what I want. I want to be invited to the Met Gala. I’ve always wanted to know what happened behind those doors, so hopefully, I’ll be able to witness that for myself. Acting-wise, I want to be the showrunner in a Marvel movie - a superhero, inspiring other young girls to go for their dreams! I also want to direct/produce it as well.

Who is your biggest inspiration and why?

My biggest inspiration would probably be my mom. She’s helped me through so much and has been here through thick and thin. She is my hero.

What are three top tips you'd give to aspiring actresses and models?

The top three tips that I would give to any aspiring actor or model is to stay true to yourself, be confident and to never lose hope.

Fun fact: Nicole is currently teaching herself Japanese using LingoDeer Talent: Artist - drawing Fifth-grader Nicole has a passion for singing, dancing and modelling and dreams of being either a fashion designer, chef or entrepreneur. The 10 year old is an advocate for and supporter of autism and epilepsy awareness, in honour of her older brother who is 24 and was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) when he was four years old and epilepsy at 17 years old.

In her spare time, the 10 year old loves to cook, skateboard and ice skate. Nicole is very creative and enjoys painting and drawing. She loves to create using her 3D printer, her Cricut machine, mixed mediums, resin, poured paint canvases, etc.

One interesting fact about you: "I love getting scared and pranking people" Talent: Actress/model Presley is in the third grade at school and her favourite subjects are maths and art.

Presley plays on a competitive soccer team called The Rapids and takes the positions of striker, midfielder and wing. She is dedicated to learning and growing every day in the sport. Her dream job is to be a professional soccer player like Cristiano Ronaldo and a famous actor like Hugh Jackman and Awkwafina. She has taken acting classes with Denver Center for the Performing Arts, as well as Actors Technique NY (ATNY).

In her spare time, Presley loves to create new inventions and express herself through her drawings and writings. She is also very adventurous and enjoys being active and exploring new places on her skateboard, rollerblades or bicycle.

Presley is an old soul with a lot of empathy and compassion. T YL-ELLE Name: Tyl-Elle Age: 13 years old Agencies: MMG (NYC), Hannah Noelle (FL), Dynasty (Boston) Instagram: @tyl_elle Location: USA Model work to date: Print/editorial/runway. Model for numerous cover stories of publications spanning a variety of interests, including fashion and lifestyle magazines. Model for numerous fashion editorials in children’s, teen, and adult publications. Walk for numerous designers, including multiple seasons of New York Fashion Week. Active with auditions and opportunities through representation in several model and talent agencies.

What do you like about modelling? There is a lot I enjoy, especially with different types of modelling. One aspect I like is being part of the collaboration of photographers, artists, stylists, and designers to tell a story.

Who inspires you? I am inspired by the purposes of God and the love of family.

Dream career: I have some ideas, but for now I am very focused on my schooling and education. I attend a college preparatory day school, where I am engaged in a rigorous academic programme. I use any opportunity for intellectual and personal growth.

Fun fact about Tyl-Elle: Tyl-Elle is an older sister to Tuxel, who also is a model, and they sometimes model together.

Talent: Model Thirteen-year-old Tyl-Elle is in the eigth grade in junior high school.

Tyl-Elle enjoys her studies, including history and languages, and also studies and plays piano. Commended by her teachers for her leadership abilities, she is a leader in the classroom and on the sports field, where she plays field hockey and is captain of the team.

She values her family’s multi-generational and meaningful affiliation with Dartmouth and also the White Mountains, where she visits, skis, hikes, and spends time with loved ones.

Favourite shoot/work to date: Laff Mob’s Laff Tracks TruTv Hobbies: Photography, painting, cooking and baking Fun fact: "My favourite season is winter because I love skiing and snowboarding … and the snowman :)" Talent: Model/actor Yulie plays the piano and is studying towards grade 5. The twelve-year-old is very creative and currently studies performing arts and visual arts. Yulie's dream job would be to become a marine biologist as the ocean has always intrigued her and she loves biology. Yulie is also a competitive swimmer.
