Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore is dedicated to inspiring and empowering all students. As liaisons between the business community and education, we immerse ourselves in local business industries, identify the needs, and develop innovative curriculum that is brought to life by volunteers.

Junior Achievement programs teach concepts that equip and inspire our students to live within their means, build wealth, identify fulfilling career pathways, and explore entrepreneurial thinking.

The JA Stock Market Challenge includes two components: a classroom curriculum, and for many participants, the JA Stock Market Challenge competition event. The classroom curriculum comprises five sessions that introduce students to basic concepts about how the stock market works and the impact of current events on the stock market. The program also includes multiple self-guided extension activities that engage students in deeper learning about the stock market and investing.

After participating in Junior Achievement’s Our Region Program in the classroom, Talbot County fourth-grade students will discover a variety of opportunities in the agriculture industry through hands-on learning activities at Ag Day.
