The Raystown Field Station
The Elizabeth Evans Baker Peace Chapel
The Bob and Eileen Sill Business Incubator
14th & Moore Sts.
Located three blocks from the center of the Juniata campus, the Sill Business Incubator is a 10,000 square-foot facility designed to foster innovation, collaboration, and business creation. It contains office spaces, conference rooms, the Baxter Entrepreneurial Studio, and the MeadWestvaco Resource Center. Here, entrepreneurs have 24/7 access to databases of business mentors, local media contacts, and service providers (such as attorneys, accountants, and other business support professionals) as well as current technologies such as Smart Boards and wireless high-speed Internet.
Shuster Hall, the main instructional building for the Raystown Field Station, is a unique educational space. The building, just a stone’s throw from the shore of Raystown Lake, contains classroom and laboratory spaces that give our students a tremendous opportunity to delve deeper into the varied ecosystems of the lake. The classroom building is complemented by two student ultra-modern lodges, for a semester-long academic program, one of the only undergraduate programs of its kind in the nation.
To tour the Raystown Field Station, call 1-877-JUNIATA or 814-641-3428 (1 week in advance).
Designed by architect Maya Lin, the Elizabeth Evans Baker Peace Chapel is located just a few blocks from campus in the College’s 315-acre Baker-Henry Nature Preserve. From Juniata College, travel south five blocks on Moore Street. Turn left onto 14th Street. Travel three blocks and turn left onto Warm Springs Avenue. Travel four blocks on Warm Springs Avenue and turn right onto Peace Chapel Road.
