I love walking. I prefer to walk outside when the sun is shining, the air crisp and the sky blue. But I’ll also walk when it’s cloudy and raining. I’ll walk in the city and I’ll hike in the countryside. During the recent pandemic, I’ve walked all over the world and never left my Stockholm apartment as I walk in place to YouTube videos. My daughter once bought me a Fitbit as a gift. She wanted us both to track the steps we walk each day and share the experience together on the Fitbit app. But after a while,
she said, “Mom, stop walking so much! You always have twice the number of steps that I do each day!” Even more than physical walking, I love walking with Jesus – spending time daily with Him, acknowledging His presence with me during every step of my day. My heart’s desire for you is that you would walk every day with Jesus as well. Why don’t we share the experience together? That is the purpose of this regular column in Junia magazine.
