What’s your favourite location to shoot in Nottingham and why?

I shoot the majority of my content in the park and around that area, it is quiet and has quite neutral backgrounds which I like for my images.

How many hours do you spend on your phone?

About 3 a day I’d say, I rarely am on my phone past 5pm.

Has the virus affected your work?

If so, how are you handing it?

It has affected my work as I cannot go out and shoot content on a regular basis like I used to do. I therefore have had to adapt to shooting indoor content.

Similarly, brands are cutting down budgets meaning less work is coming in.

If social media stopped existing one day what would you do?

I’m sure there would still be something similar to Instagram, but I would definitely continue to work in fashion.

At what point did you know you could be a full- time influencer?

When I was earning enough money to support my bills/ lifestyle. It just happened gradually over time.

What’s the positive and negative thing about being an influencer?

Positive — being my own boss, very flexible and motivating.

Negative — sometimes lonely as you don’t spend time with people every day.

What’s changed about your Instagram strategies from when you started to now?

I now post what I want whereas I used to be very picky and only post posed photos whereas now I’ll snap an outfit and upload straight away.

What’s the process like when you collaborate with a big brand?

They usually reach out via email, we then go back and forth discussing deals, content, fees etc. They then send you product to post.

Did you go to university? If so, what did you study and where did you go?

Yes, I studied Public Relations at Leeds Beckett University.

What’s the favourite brand you have worked with and why?

Pretty Little Thing — They are lovely girls and always are so friendly and supportive. They remember the little things and you create friendships with them.

What tips do you have for people who want to start being influencers?

I’d say be patient and consistent, it doesn’t happen overnight, and it takes time, sometimes I think it’s a bit of luck too! But post content you love that is true to you.
