Project Update Work has continued in Phase 3 on the Memory Care Wing and Main Entry. We have encountered difficulties with electrical & fire alarm conduits being located within the floor slab or directly underneath. We have cut several conduits in the process of removing floor slab areas for new plumbing. Finding hidden plaster damage in the Resident Room Toilet Rooms has also required additional work. At this time we are waiting for the fire marshal to set a final inspection date for the Memory Care Wing. Work is also underway on the building exterior at the Main Entry and Therapy Gym/Living Room additions. The site is being prepared for the completion of sidewalks and curbing. I will be retiring at the end of March after 43 years in the construction industry. I will miss not being involved in the completion of this project and working with the many great people involved, but it’s time to move on to the next chapter in my life. I’m handing the project off to the very capable hands of Senior Project Manager, Brett Lesiewicz, and Assistant Project Manager, Max Schmidt, who will bring a new energy to the final stages of the project.
