This project for the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities is located just minutes from E&V’s new Coldwater Office. The new renovated building will include offices for MSCPA (Michigan South Central Power Agency) and a Technical Service Center for Coldwater BPU. MSCPA is a power entity that serves Clinton, Coldwater, Hillsdale, Marshall and Union City communities. Coldwater BPU offers services such as power, water/sewer/wastewater treatment, cable/internet/digital phone, engineering and others. This new space will be the central location to offer 24/7 call center service to the communities listed above. The lot and building are existing, but will have a major make-over. The sitework will consist of a new self-contained storm water management system, new paving, new curbs, sidewalks and landscaping. The steel structure of the building and roof are the only items of the building that will remain. An EPDM roof will be added over the existing and new framing/metal panels will clad the exterior of the building. The interior will consist of offices, meeting rooms, an internet call center, common areas and storage areas. A unique aspect of this project is that the server room and call center will have UPS and generator back-up power to always remain operational 24/7. Curt Hielke Project Manager
