Project Update Moving along...

We have been very busy since the last newsletter. All walls are constructed and fully roughed in with plumbing and electrical. Drywall is currently getting finished and ready for paint. The freezer and fiberglass reinforced plastic were installed last week. We are also working on above ceiling work and new electrical feeds. Brad Giha, Project Manager bradg@elzinga-volkers.com

SPOTLIGHT ON SAFETY

Control area

A Clean Jobsite Is a Safe Jobsite! Keeping a construction site clean is not just about aesthetics, but is a crucial step to ensure a safe workplace to prevent slips, trips, and falls. According to OSHA, cluttered working conditions are distracting, unsafe, and unsanitary, but a tidy jobsite improves morale, encourages good work habits, saves time, and promotes safety. Elzinga & Volkers and our trade contractor teams work very hard to keep their jobsites clean and organized. If clean-up is neglected, the jobsite can quickly become hazardous. Nails, screws, sharp tools, dust, and debris are only a few of the things that must be continuously cleaned up. Safety is always a top priority for E&V and impacts everyone from the crew to the client and guests.
